This is an Access101 question to be sure, but I am not a major user.
What I want to do is:
Pull up one name and:
See the name of project worked on. What if they work on multiple projects?
Performed function daytime
Nighttime
Backup night
In house night
Perfromed Specific task A
Performed Specific Task B
And enter notes or remarks.
What is the best way for me to create this?

I want to hyperlink from a query direct to the relevant record in a specific form. I have a hyperlink field in the form which shows up in the query. When clicked in the query, this hyperlinks to the form but I cannot make it select the correct record in the form.How do I get it to select the correct record?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to access i have a problem which is i have made a form which contains a subform and a read only subreport, what i want is the ability to select a record in read only subreport as in the picture attached and make a button that when i press on it, it should copy the values of the itemsID field, Packing field, ContainerNo field and origin field from the selected record and then paste them in the subform below.
Also i want to add more then one item, so the when i press on another record it should paste the values below the first record.
I have a report being generated that pulls in a bunch of data. The processed column is a boolean value.
I want to be able to set the text of a label to be equal to the "material cost" for all the rows where is processed is set to false.

I want to show ( or print ) on a report a specific URL on Google Maps with the ActiveX control "Microsoft Web Browser".
I managed to use the Google API on a form to show the actual URL found with X and Y coordinates.
Now I'd like to show the same URL on a report to send to the customer as a reference. Is there a way to get this done?
I already put a ActiveX control (Ms Web Browser) on a report and used the same URLstring in the ActiveX control , but nothing is shown on the screen.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI work in psychological testing and I have created a database to store some data for our patients' test scores. I have a main form with demographics and then 5 buttons on the main form that open into 5 other forms (one form for each test). I also have created a button on the main form to run a Report; however, I would like to filter the report to only show the current record (e.g., Patient ID #1 only).
(Can this be done?) How should I go about filtering the report to show only the open record? Expression is preferred - I'm not very good with code.
I'm also assuming that since each form is linked by the primary key of Patient ID, I should be able to see all data from each form (main + 5 others) in the report for that specified Patient ID... (?)
I am trying to print a report for a specific Client. There are several routing records with dates. What I want to do is print the report for a specific Client that is in the primary table and a Date within the routing table. Each routing record has a Date field.
One client can have many routing records.
Example: John Smith in client

I'm new to Access but I've been thrown this project to update and improve the database we have. I have a report that tracks financials for 9 bookkeepers. How do I generate a report to show the report of one specific bookkeeper. Right now it displays all the financials for all bookkeerpers. This spread sheet is updated by personnel in another location and I have to run a weekly report on engines stored in that table that are below a certain performance level. The column heading is MGT Margin and I have to list all of the engines that are below 20 degrees. Can I run a query that looks at this table and produces a report of all the engines that are only below 20 degrees? I currently have to cut and paste each engine from the updated spread sheet every week onto a separate spread sheet and import that into access to run the report. Can a query be used to run the required report? I have attached a screen shot of the query that I am putting together to try and run this report.

I want to know how you can find the specific printersize number value for a form called "1_5upLabels" which is a custom form.
I am not looking to do this manually in the page setup for the report but to programmatically so that it's dynamic.
Is there a way I can loop through the forms for this printer and check for the form name?
I have one table with some info about my clients, I have a form, where I must choose this clients from combobox and then after clicking button Print must open report with info about specific (chosen from combobox) client and some another texts that doesn't change. I can't create report with only specific record information.
I have a WO Table and a related WO Procedures Table. I would like to add a specific # of blank lines/records between each record but that # will vary. So the report will show the WO Procedure Desc then a specified # of blank lines below it and then the next WO Procedures Desc then a specified # of blank lines below it etc.
I thought to add a field to the Proc tbl called #ofLines and whatever number was entered would be the # of blank lines to appear below the record on the report.
i am having a table in access from where specific columns need to get exported in excel.these things i need to do:
1) Excel where the data is exported, some cells have formulas which is needed by customers
2) The column names are different
3) and at the end of all the data there need to be sum of specific columns how do i do it?

Is it possible to only display a specific number of records with multiple filters of the same field.
So say I have a table with 2 Columns:
Name
Address
Can a user basically search for multiple records based off of their names? Maybe by using a form where they can input those names like this:
John Smith
Dave Richardson
Sophie Parker
Then the report will only display the records containing those names.
I was thinking today if it is possible to fill Access reports based on a specific Word template? I don't want to populate a Word file with Access data as users of my app might not all have Word. Or is there another solution using a WYSIWYG editor where users can format everything according to their needs? That would be fantastic.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have stumbled across an issue in my report involving the Report.SourceObject property. The section of the report contains a subreport that needs to change dynamically to display the report that relates to the corresponding test. When trying to change the subreports.Sourceobject property I get the error Run-time error 2191: You cant set the Source Object Property in the print preview or after printing has started.This is very clear to me what the limitation is, however I was wondering if there was some way around this.
I have currently tried creating multiple subreports that are stacked on each other with visible property set to false. Then I change the specific subreport visible property base of a select. This worked, but was extremely hard on the machine and printer as there is about 15 different possible subreports.
Secondly I have tried exporting it to RTF and just manually copying and pasting the tables. The down side with this is all the formatting and work I have put into the report as a whole goes out the window so if possible would like to avoid this situation as well.
In Access 2003 I have a form, at the footer of which I want to put some summary information. One of which is a count of the number of purchases over £500. I have tried many variations after searching the posts on this site but the only one which does not return me an error of some kind with the expression is
=IIf([Bought For]>"500",Count([Bought For]),0)
where 'Bought For is the reports listing of the purchase prices in a given date range when opening the report, but the value returned in my test is '0' when it should be '2' as the test file has two purchases of over £500.
I have a report that I would like to have the rows be a specific color based on the value in 1 field on the row.
I have attempted to use conditional formatting but it will not work (IE, I can get font color to change, but not field boxes to have color).
The field is labeled [text144] based on the value in the field (1,2, or 3) I would like the field to be a different color.
i.e.
3 = green
2 = yellow
1 = red
I have a database of high-school football players, and I am looking to print out single page reports (or forms) that will show detail from several tables and queries. This will act as their resume when they visit schools on recruiting visits. The reason for needing query items, is that I have developed queries that return the most up to date height, weight, 40 time etc., and that single most up to date number is what should print, not the entire table. When I try to build a report it will let me bring in multiple tables, but not queries.

I want my report to total by style, without details and to look like:

How do you get a report to sum the group items by a specific item and to hide the details of that group summing?
I have an attendance database and I connect the time attendance machine db to my access db, what i am trying to do is to generate a report that shows the time in and time out for specific date. the type of attendance db is date/time.

an also some time there is duplicate entry, I need to get the first and the last entry only for specific date.
Can we change the orientation to 45 degrees in a label ?
