A report with multiple lines with name. I have chosen the 'Hide Duplicate' option on the name text box and when the report is printed all is well. However in the display prior to printing when the print option popup is present no name are shown. Some simple setting?
Goal - Show how many policies (dbo_Policy22.Policy.Number) were cancelled during a certain time period (Invoice Date).
Problem - a policy can be cancelled more than once and I don't want to count it after the initial cancel status (885).
Question - Below is my query. I'm thinking I type "Distinct" somewhere, but I have no idea where.
Please help :) Thank you.
SELECT dbo_Producer22.Number, dbo_Producer22.Name, dbo_Invoice22.Invoice_Date, dbo_Policy22.POLICY_STATUS, dbo_Policy22.Policy_Number FROM dbo_Producer22 INNER JOIN ((dbo_Insured22 INNER JOIN dbo_Invoice22 ON dbo_Insured22.Insured_Key = dbo_Invoice22.Insured_Key) INNER JOIN dbo_Policy22 ON dbo_Insured22.Insured_Key = dbo_Policy22.Insured_Key) ON dbo_Producer22.Producer_Key = dbo_Policy22.Producer_Key GROUP BY dbo_Producer22.Number, dbo_Producer22.Name, dbo_Invoice22.Invoice_Date, dbo_Policy22.POLICY_STATUS, dbo_Policy22.Policy_Number HAVING (((dbo_Invoice22.Invoice_Date) Between [Forms]![PfrmYearToDate]![txtStartDate] And [Forms]![PfrmYearToDate]![txtEndDate]) AND ((dbo_Policy22.POLICY_STATUS)=885));
Hi All. I have a db, with, amongst others, one form that I enter job details, and another form that I enter the materials for the job. These forms are linked by the ID_Number. This all works fine
I have a query that links both these forms together, so when the query is run, it shows the ID_Number of all jobs that have been done completed between dates, whether they have materials assigned to them or not.
This all works fine, but if for example, there are 10 jobs in one month and one of those jobs have more than one material booked against them, then that job number will show twice. What I would like to do is "Hide Duplicates" on the query.
I have 3 field name's Survey, Date, and Rep Name .I want to hide any duplicates from the survey field but i want them to show the most current from the Date Field. How would i go about doing this? I've tried everything i know but no luck...Any input is greatly appreciated.
I have a problem. I'm trying to import values to a Combo List from a table:
Row Source = SELECT Tasks.Milestones FROM Tasks;
where Task is a table and Milestones a field of that table. In this field (Milestones) there are repeated values, but I'd like to hide those duplicates when I want to chose them from the Combo List. I don't know If it is clear, if not it's because I'm not an Expert of Access :p
Here's an example of the a duplicate, all 4 first rows are duplicates, but the last value is null for the last duplicate. I want to hide the one the duplicate that has null value!
I have create a report which contains a check box. What I want to do is to hide the box if it null. I have attached an example database to show what I'm trying to do. I have tried using:
Private Sub Detail_Format(Cancel As Integer, FormatCount As Integer) If IsNull(Me.[Written Work Seen1]) Then Me.[Written Work Seen1].Visible = False If IsNull(Me.[Written Work Seen2]) Then Me.[Written Work Seen2].Visible = True End Sub
in the OnFormat event of the Details section of the report.
i am trying to make a small database for my uncle, but i am stuck in the report. can someone help me out and tell me how to hide the title, the value and a label only when the field is empty...
i have attached the file here plz look at it and help me out... see the report i have made.. i want the whole line to be hidden when the value (1,2,....,10) is null.
OK, first time posting so I'll try to be clear here. I work for a special education agency and have created a database to track student/therapist information. Now, I have reports showing which kids are in which schools and who their therapists are. What I can't figure out is how to print a report, grouped by school, that will display which therapists are active in that school.... any ideas?
On the report I use the group function on a field called assemble part number and select no duplicates in the property field . so I don't get that part number on every line below that group.
When I print the report it gives me the assembly part number on every line can the report be printed without it on every line just the group line.
I have tbl_Proj, tbl_Notes, and tbl_Proj_City. They are all joined by the tbl_Proj's ID.I have a set list in tbl_City - tbl_Proj_City is 3 columns an ID for itself, tbl_City ID and tbl_Proj ID...In instances where a project covers more than one city, when I generate a report (or query) for that project I get each notes that number of times. If a project is in 3 cities I get each note 3 times.
I have a project entry form with a combobox subform for the city selection.The report is from a qry, by Proj_ID, I need to show the cities - the "key" city is the first alphabetically (also lowest via autonumber in City_ID). I would like to add that I do not know SQL. I have created this database using access commands.
I am thinking that I may be able to query the project ID for the Cities and somehow select the first alphabetically or the lowest in ID and store that somewhere? and then run a query that uses that and the notes to generate the report and then have a sub report for the other cities?
I have a form that has a drop down box with all of my project numbers in it. when I choose a project number, I can then choose from several report buttons on that same page that opens a report just showing that projects info (easy enough). I then have different report buttons that open those same reports, but showing every project (no filter).
The reports have a cover page that has the field, 'project number' in the front, so when a particular project is chosen from the drop down, that project number will show on the cover page (still pretty easy).
My question is, when I open the full report(no filter), is there a way to tell the report not to show the 'project number' field? since the full reports show every project, the 'project number' field will show the first project number, which is not what I want to do.
How can i do that ? If i shall write a code, in which event ?? Or can i use in Query Build option ?
I searched on internet and found some answers but they are not useful
(i found this code and updated for my report but still did not work)
Private Sub Detail_Format(Cancel As Integer, FormatCount As Integer) (<- what is that ??) If Me.Skyliner = 0 Then Me.SkylinerCover.Visible = True Else Me.SkylinerCover.Visible = False End If
I have a report in which I'm trying to hide some elements from view in case a specific value is Null. Access seems to do this automatically if the report is in print-preview-mode, but not in normal view-report-mode.
I've tried something like this, but it's not really working:
Code: private sub report_load() if nz(txtfield, 0) = 0 then txtfield.visible = false end if end sub
Ref# Rev 97 b 98 c 99 c 99 e 100 c 100 b 101 a 102 b
I need to create a simple report but remove the duplicates (ex. Ref# 99,100). I need to delete the older Rev's (Ex Ref# 99 Rev C, Ref# 100 Rev B).Is this done throughRecordsets? will an SQL query do the trick?
I am posting a report to the web, in a pdf format. the issue is I have data that is hidden under conditional formating in which if it meet the criteria the font is white and background white. This is great since it shows up blank on pdf. However if a slick person takes the pdf highlights the page and transfers it to a word document, he can highlight that area change the font to black and see the data. Is there a way to hide the data prior to creating a pdf.
I am attempting to use VBA code to make the label in my report hidden if the text box is blank. I am very new to coding, and am not sure how I would express this in code. I have been looking at a few examples of how to get this done, but it doesn't seem to work. Where to insert the code. Attached is the image of the properties for my label and text box that I want hidden if text field is blank. I al just lost trying to figure this out.
I know there is no more than 4 dups of each record.
what i want from this is a table that will give me a record of how many dups for each record then all the dates that they were added and the date between each record entry.
Hey, all! Thanks for helping, here is my situation.
I have a table with about 70,000 records that have duplicate Address field values. The rest of the field values for those records are different. When I do a find duplicate querry I get the result that 17,000 records have the same address. However, when I do the append qurrey as instructed here: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=209183 I get a total of only 600 records in the new table. I have tried deleting all of the indexes for both the new and old table, with no luck.
I'm using Access 2000 on XP Pro.
If anyone could help with this I would greatly appreciate it!
I have an Access table with an indexed key that is currently set to duplicates OK. There are not supposed to be any duplicates in that field. But it is possible than a small number have crept through.
Two questions:
1. What would happen to those duplicate records if I changed the setting from duplicates OK to no duplicates?
2. Is there any way to ferret out those duplicate records first and change them manually? The table currently has 48000 records so it would be a pain to go through them page by page. (I know how to export them to Excel, where the dups can easily be found; I was just wondering if something could do it within Access.)
Hi. I have two tables, of which i have run a duplicate query, removed the duplicates by doing an "is null" criteria, and keeping that new table. I know though there are still more duplicates but the names may not be exactly the same, say barclays and barclays plc. so i run another query on both tables to show me the first five letters of table 1 and table 2. I can run another "is null" criteria query to find the non duplicates there. these are the unique values.
But even if there are duplicates up to the first five letters the next letter may change, for instance barcleys tractors and barclays bank. So these arent duplicates. So can anyone come up with a way of taking the duplicate ones according to the first five letters, and maybe duplicate ones up to 10 letters, and working out which ones are the unique ones. my brain is frying.
I have imported a 1 column table from an external source for the sole purpose of deleting duplicates. There are over 400,000 rows. What do i need to do to identify the duplicates?
