On a Tab Control inside a from, I've created an Unbound Object Frame, referring to an MS Excel Work Sheet. The goal here is to link that Unbound Object Frame residing on the Tab Control and save the form/link.
Now, when I execute the code, the Object Frame is linked and updated, but when I close the form, the link inside the Object Frame is not saved! However, when I do the exact same thing without placing the Object Frame on one of the pages of the tab, so as regular control inside the form, all works fine.
The code is as follows (performed when I click the button);"OLETest" refers to the UnBound Object Frame placed inside the first page of a Tab Control inside the form.

I'm experimenting with unbound object frames to embed an excel sheet in Access.If I have an excel application already open and busy, and then open my form, access freeze completely and won't do anything. My users will probably be running excel vba programs when they attempt to view this form, if there is no work around I'll have to drop the idea of embedding excel in access.
whenever an "external" thing wants to use excel (opening a file in explorer, etc), it uses the very 1st excel application open on the computer at this moment, instead of creating its own instance, or at least scanning for how busy the open application is. Because of that, I think that even loading the preview in the access form will try to use the current excel process even though it's completely busy.
I am using an unbound object frame to display an .png image file which is set in vba.
The image is an excel chart saved as a .png
The problem I have however is that the image I save from Excel is great quality, and is pretty tack sharp, but when I display the same file in the unbound object frame in access, it is not nearly as sharp.
I am setting the picture property of the control as:
ubImageUserChart = "c: empmyChart.png"
It displays alright, but is just a bit fuzzy - still quite legible, but it is a complex graph with a lot going on - has regressions and formulas etc on the graph, and they need to be very clear.
BTW - the unbound frame is the same size as the Excel chart which gets saved as a .png file. If I tile the images (Access unbound frame and original file in picassa preview) side by side - they are identical - size, orientation etc.
It is not practical for me to try and do the chart natively in access as it is way to complex. I am using access vba to drive an excel session to do all the statistical yack work and chart rendering, then displaying a png image of the resulting chart in an unbound object frame in access.
Is there a way that I can attach a database that I am building/working on, to an email, so that I can send it to myself and work at home or at work. My work computers do not allow media.

I have query that is accessed by entering criteria in a text box and then the user can click a button which will use the criteria entered in the query and then export it to an excel file.
Is there any way i can get the option to export the file and then open up a new email and attach the excel file
Can I use html to format the message body in send object method ? If I can, how to do that.

I am currently in the process of creating a form that will allow you to enter details for an email sent, select a number of documents from a list box and then open the mail message pre-written with attachments. The attachments reside in a list box currently, and I am attempting to use a "For Each" with item selected.column(3) as the file path, as column(3) contains the filepath from the table.

When this code runs, outlook will open as a process when it is closed, but then freeze and not allow me to see it or access it in anyway. If Outlook is opened Microsoft office usually gets angry at me and decides to throw error messages at me.

I have a subroutine that works well for sending emails. A need has arisen to, in some cases, send an Access report as a PDF attachment. I know how to do this using the SendObject method, but that won't work in this app. I also don't want to have to first save the report as a pdf file. I think I'm close, but I don't know the syntax for passing the report name as the Source parameter in the Attachments.Add method.

I almost have what I need, but I am not quite there. I am a VBA novice and need help. I couldnt understand some of the code I have searched for on this topic.
I have a query that returns exactly the results I want. By using a SendObject macro I can accomplish sending the message with a .txt file attached. What I want to do is instead of having the attachment I want to send my query "FaxReportQueryReport" in the body of the email. No set address, just a set RE: line of "Today's Deliveries".
I can create PDF's, DOCX's retaining the PDF formatting save them back to different network locations and then retrieve and attach to emails that are generated for different areas, however I have been asked to scrap the attachment and insert the content of the attachment directly into the body of the email. I have had a good browse around the net with no real approach. The code below simply gets the recepients email address adds the subject and then is looking for the .HTMLBody which simply comes through in the body as
"O:divAKLResgroupE - ReportsHTML FilesDRAFT TEST .html".

I have a contracting business, and on my Orders form (which details a single client), I have a sub-form that lists all the items to be done at that client's home (a different record for each work item). When I send an e-mail, or post the appointment to the Outlook calendar, I am trying to list all those records in the body of the e-mail, and/or in the Notes section of the appointment. I created the query to call the records, but have not figured out a way to use it in the code.

Once the info is filled out we click a button that converts it into a report and once the information is confirmed correct you have to click another button Email it off, this is currently done by a macro creating the report as a attachment PDF File.
