I have a 2003 mdb which I have opened in 2010 from my C drive. If I hover my mouse over a table name it shows the original UNC path. How do I change this so I can view the data without an error message appearing?
View RepliesI have a form with a subform in it. On the main form, I have a combo box with a list of program numbers to choose from. Once one is selected, the subform displays all the unpaid invoices under that program number. This part works fine. The problem occurs when I try to close the form, switch to design view, or scroll the subform to the right. Basically, the error message says that the record can't be saved because it would create a duplicate value in the index/primary key. However, this form is used to display information only. I have disabled the edit, delete and addition abilities, so I can't figure out why it thinks I am trying to change or add a new record. Any help would be appreciated.
I figured it might make things easier if I included a copy of the database, so here it is.
The form is called SETR, and the subform is AllInfo subform.
Before my registration form is submitted i have created a message box saying "would you like to submit?"
but it pops up as if it were to be an error message.. i will attach my coding and the pop up ..

I have a muli-user database that's been creating the odd strange record for me
two records that have been created have all the fields data as
#ERROR or
#DELETED
no matter what I do with these records I can't get rid of them or find out where they came from.
Can any help me just delete these out of the table?
Would be extreemly helpful as they are now getting on my nerves :-)

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a search query that searches for different results based on 3 criterior. I have set up a form so that the user can input the text into the form and then once the Submit button (that i created) is clicked the query table will be shown.
My question is:
Is it possible to have an error message box appear when i click submit and no data is returned by the search query?
I'm hoping for the message box to say "No corresponding records to your search criteria. Do you want to try again?"
Then the options given in the message box are Yes (where they should be taken back to the search form) and No (Where they are taken to another form).
I'm just trying to implement a "customised error message" that will pop-up if data is entered and it's invalid. (I've created a "query" and a "search" form which these two link together).
View 3 Replies View RelatedIt is my understanding that a custom macro was built to pull text data from a file and import it into Access in the appropriate fields. This macro no longer works and will return the following error message:
"License information for this component not found. You do not have an appropriate license to use this functionality in design mode."
It only gives an option to click OK. When you do it shows a box called "Action Failed" that lists the macro name, condition, action name, and arguments with three button to click on the right of the box: "Step" "Halt" and "Continue". It appears that only the "Halt" button is available to be clicked.
Does this sound like an issue with the Access license or whatever license the macro might have? We're trying to decide if it's possible to restore the functionality of the macro.
I have previously posted a query similair to this which didn't get resolved.
I have two fields - Assessment and Score - the assesment field is linked to a look-up table that contains the assesment description and the score (ie if you are dead you score a 5)
Score then is =assessment.column(1) (in the control source).
On the form this works fine but in the datasheet view of the table - the assesment description shows up but the score doesn't. I think this has something to do with the control source setting but what other way can I do It?

It just started happening today, and I haven't even made any changes to the database. It occurs when I hit a button I have to run a macro.
the macro does the following:
1) Shows all records
2) Requery
3) ApplyFilter.
The Where Condition for the filter is:
Right([tblContracts].[JobNum],4)=Right([Forms]![FrmContProc].[txtFindJobNum],4)
The weird thing is that it only occurs if the Form window is taller than 1/2 of my viewable area. If the Form window is 1/2 the viewable area or shorter, it works OK. This was running fine earlier today, but about 4:00 pm (03/31/06) this started happening.
If anybody knows what this error means, or how to get rid of it (I really need to use this window in full-screen) then please let me know.

I have been developing my database all one seems to be well exept for an error message which is attched.

I have an asset data base to generate individual asset detail reports with a sub report on the same page listing similar assets from a separate query. I have set the master and child fields, one to many. This works perfectly for the first two assets (pages), however the sub report stops showing data on the third asset (page).

Microsoft Access can't run the macro or callback function 'fDesign'.
In my Dbase there is no macro with that name.

I have attached a screen print of an error message I recieved on my access database. I finally got it to come up, but only after a few pop up boxes with this error message.
I do know the shared drive it is housed on went on the fritz. So I copied it and pasted it to my desk top. Grrr...I thought this message was due to the flipping shared drive. But now, I recieved it on my desk top too.
Anywho...can someone look at it and tell me what it means.

I have a table that keeps crashing. The only error message I get is "Invalid Argument". Each time, a single record will turn into "#Error". Each field says this in the row. When this happens, Access won't let me delete just that row,

I am trying to Right Join two queries which are basically from the same exact table, but when I do that I get the following error.

i have a form that allows me to save mobile phone details.
The problem with this form is that if its incomplete and i click 'x' it shows me the validation message followed by an error message (which is attached with this thread).....
why is that? is there anyway i can exit the form (incomplete) without the valdation message or error message occuring???
