I'm using hte Shell() function but this doesn't wait for the executable file to finish so I'm looking for a command line function that would wait until the executable file is finished executing...

I saw this function WaitFor but it is not supported in MS-Access? So, what do I do?

I have a listbox in which I am using both the single and double click events to return different data. It seems that when I try to double-click it is interpreted as a single click! It doesn't seem to "wait" for the second click. I have been coding for years but never saw this before.

Page loads, transaction is submitted, everything works fine 99% of the time, however, on occasion, the page loads a mini error page where you have to click a blue link for it to continue. Here is where I am stuck, if the blue link appears, I get an error that the object is not set, if I move my cursor up one row (For Each htmlInput) it will continue without error. How do I get IE to give the error message a chance to load before checking it out?

Advanced VBA Wait In Subroutine Until Form Is Closed

Hi all.
I have a form that opens up another form when you click on a button. The button does more than just open the form, it does other checks. I want to wait until the opened form is closed to continue with the subroutine. Is this even possible in VBA? I was wondering if there was a frmFormName.IsOpen or some kind of flag that would tell me if a form is open or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Print Pop-up Modal Report

I have a report that opens from a command button on a form. The settings on the report are set to pop-up and modal to keep the focus on the report until closed. I like the settings as they are but I need to print the report once it pops up. As the settings go, I cannot access or use the toolbars to print the report. How can I print the report from the pop-up, modal view? :mad:

I have tried using a timer event to not show a form until it is fully loaded, to no avail.

What I don't want is to have is all the messages that come up during the creation of the table ie deleting existing files and showing the number of records created to place in the file. Modules & VBA :: Login To Database - Close A Modal Popup Window

I've tried to add some basic login (not really security) to my database so that when a different name is entered into the login box a different form is opened.

I got this working but the login form stays in foreground and I can't click anything behind it and can't get to the design view to change any properties of anything.

I've also changed this login form to the startup item so it always loads when i start the database.

Is there way to get back to the design view or do i have to start again from my backup?

I have a modal form which has a single record which is then linked to a sub-form on the same modal form. This all works fine and shows the relevant record and sub records but I want the modal form main record to change dependant on the record selected in the subform (which is basically order item history.

I found some code on another site which seemed to work for others but for me I am getting Run-time error 2465 and it doesn't like my reference to 'Me' - is this because it is a modal form?The code I am using is:

I have modal form - frmZlecenia

I would like to copy one control, then close this form, open concrete form and pass value to control.

My code is

There is some way to open concrete form from modal form?

the forms are not opening in modal/dialog mode when they should be.The forms' pop-up and modal properties are set to "yes"..The code specifies to open Dialog so, for example:

Yet, the form opens behind the other form (which, incidentally, is also set to be pop up and modal in the form properties--is that the problem? If so, why wasn't this an issue until now?).

Works great, but when I hit the number "3", (3 times in row) it will let me into the form. I want it to not let me in IF I don't know the password.

Using Code To Unprotect And Protect Viewing Code

I protect my code from people being able to read it by setting a password on the code from Tools > Properties, selecting the Protection tab and entering a password, and clicking "Lock Project"

Is there a way to write code that will remove that Lock Project check and check it back on?

I've looked through the Application.SetOption command and it doesn't seem to be one of the choices. It would be very helpful if someone knew how to do this.

Need Help With Code

Need a little help here. I have this code on a command button that open a form that displays a chart. The chart work great as long as there is data to display. However, if there is no data then the chart is blank. So what I'm trying to do is add a dcount to catch the 0 and give an error. So the 1st query makes the table where the data for the chart come from. The Qry-Test for Zero query, queries that new table if dcount is 0 it should error.
My problem is that I can't get this to work with the 0 if I make it 1 then I will get the message box if there are no records and if there is 1 record 2 and greater work fine. So my question is why won't the code catch the 0?
