I have a form for creating projects in a database. I originally set this up with 5 buttons for when the project is due to be at 1 hr, 2 hrs, etc. Now, they "management" want me change two of these for end of shift of on the current day and start of shift for the next day. This is the code I had before for the 6 hrs:

I have an attendance database and I connect the time attendance machine db to my access db, what i am trying to do is to generate a report that shows the time in and time out for specific date. the type of attendance db is date/time.

an also some time there is duplicate entry, I need to get the first and the last entry only for specific date.
I have a problem in my Database system. The title of my Database is Employee Evaluation. This is my problem.. I already make the default value the txtbox a current system date. but for the next day.. the txtbox for all record should become a current system date. but only the for the new record is the current system date. the all records are not current system date... I want from the opening of my system the textbox of all records are should be current system date.

I want to create a button that when clicked automatically changes a field on the input form and also fills in the current date on a field displayed on the closeout form. I then want it exit my two forms and take me back to my switchboard. Can anyone out there help?..Thanks.

I gets an error when posting messages, i think is because: tblPost.PostDate = '"&PostDate&"'
PostDate is no text field, its a Date field and i tried to use this symbol: ' around postdate, i also tried to not use it, but then i gets another error:
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression 'tblPost.PostDate = 12/11/2005 10:32:50 AM and tblPost.PostBy = 6'.
but that is because the date/time format uses spaces.
How can i fix this?

I have a weekly list of transactions that come in the format DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM:SS, I need to tag these individual transactions with a week number. The problem is, I can't use the Datepart function etc. as the day is classed as running from 8am to 8am rather than midnight. I have a list of all of the weekly date ranges for a few years (with the time) so I was able to solve this problem in excel by using the Index and Match functions. However, I'm trying to automate this process as much as possible so I'd rather perform this function in Access.

To select data that falls within this criteria of date range between cboDate and cboDate2 (fields on my form). The date in [tblJobDetails]![timeIn] come in this format "08/17/06 10:24 AM", but the cboDate/cboDate2 (takes in date only e.g 08/17/06) what i am after is to evaluate specific hard coded time in addition to the date entered, i.e. even tho, i haven't entered time on the cboDate/cboDate2, I want specific time hard coded where e.g If i select a date range of 08/17/06 and 08/18/06 on my cboDate and cboDate2 it should really be evaluating: 08/17/06 8:00 AM to 08/18/06 8:00 AM.
This is the criteria i curentlly have on my query in design view tha works perfect in selecting date only.

my guess is that the "bookmark" code is not allowing it. i'm not sure however, how i could find the record any other way, if that is the problem....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to set up a data import function as follows: The user fills out a form, generating an entry in the Orders table. After pushing a button, line item data will be imported from an excel spreadsheet. I've got most of this working- I have a temp table that gets cleared out and then populated from the excel spreadsheet which is then deleted, all working fine. My hangup is when I try and get the line item data out of the temp table. I need to append the Order unique ID from the textbox on the form to each line item. Here's the select statement part of the insert into:

FROM tblTempOrder
This gets the line items fine, but puts an Ankh symbol as the OrderID for each line item.

I have a database for billing. In my database, I have a form that consists of a main form "Order" and 2 subforms "OrderDetails" and "Customer" OrderDetails are to enter the products to be connected to the Order. All function super, but I want to have some information from one of the forms "copied" over to on of the others.

I have tried some different commands, but nothing has worked, also I have made a query which dose the same ting as the tekstboks, as the information in that tekstbox it not stored anywhere.
I have a database with date and time each stored in a separate field. Now I want to query the database based on a start date/time and an end date/time. I started with the code below but it only returns events within the same time range on each day when what I really need is every event from a specified date and time through a specified date and time.

Creating a flight management database to create flightplans that determine local/zulu times and dates of each leg of the flight. Arrival and departure times are calculated by durations entered for flight time to get arrival information, and time on the ground to determine departure time/date.
My question, is there a way for the user to insert a record (leg) into an exisitng flight plan that they are editing? The legs are currently in order by an autonumber so inserting a new record would not necessarly put the legs in the correct order of the flight.
Currently, the user only needs to enter the airport identifier and air/ground time along with initial departure time/date. No dates are needed for each leg.

so i have an interesting question and im hoping that someone can help on this one. i need to pull date from a specific table, no problem, that's written and working fine, next i need to be able to join the data from another table by a primary key, again no problem. third, i need to be able to select the date (using WHERE) for a specific date range. (i.e. i enter the date range of 01/7/2007 to 15/7/2007) and the query comes back only showing the data from that specific time, not the data from before or after. this is where my problem lies, all the entered data is being shown after entering my date range. i am going to include my SQL statement, just so you can actually see what im really talking about.

I have a two tables one contains a list of phone lines, the other contains fields named Date, Line Number, and Number of Calls. I want to make a form that will allow the user to enter the number of calls received each day for each line. I would like to have the lines displayed in several text boxes with text boxes next to them where the user could enter the number of calls. I could use static text boxes to list the lines but the lines change often and I want them to get their values from the Lines table.
I haven't been able to find a way to write an expression or code to set the default value of the text box to a specific record. Is this possible? I figured the expression for the default value would look something like this [Text1].DefaultValue = [Lines]![Line Number].Record1, Record1 being the specific line I want displayed in the text box. Anyway of doing this?
I have problem with inserting sub-form data to specific table. i have 2 table and one form.
table A is for DLOOKUP, table B is the table i want my sub-form data to insert in.
my table A have ID,name and class.
my table B have ID and other column.
Table A' ID and Table B' ID is related.
i trying to insert my sub-form to table B instead it insert the data to table A.
i wanna to insert a new field in the table ... which fill automatically with the date in which i modified the data in this record ...and then i'll insert this field in a report

I have a database that stores information for lab testing. Each time a tech does a "step" in the test process he logs it in the table, using an input form. There are different categories, for example preparation, testing, analysis, etc, and each of those steps take time. I have the form autopopulate the date and time with NOW() evertime the form is updated. What i want to do is calculate the time it takes to do each in days. I can easily get how many days it was from now since they logged the test, =NOW()-TestDateTime. What I want to do is get the number of days it took to do each step, ie the number of days between each event. Is there a way to do this?
