Link Two Records In The Same Field Using Another Table?

I'm creating a database for guests at a snowmobile lodge. I would like to create a new Guest in tbGuests but then have the option to create a second new GuestID linked to the first GuestID by a SpouseID. I can't seem to think out how they should be linked. So far I've created a separate table holding the SpouseID as primary key, GuestID and SpouseGuestID. Both the original guest and spouse need their own GuestID's so that I can post charges to each Guest separately if necessary. Then the SpouseID needs to be stored in the tbGuests to reference which guests are linked.
Now, in the amendment field, I've inserted a combo box, with 3 options in it. Let's say option A,B and C...The thing I want access to do, is, when option C is selected, I want fields Period, Salary and Shift to be automatically "Yes".But if option A or B is selected, the the user must choose what the other fields are going to be either Yes or No
I am creating a database for work. I have a form that has a record of information for a single contact. On that form I have a sub form that will have a series of notes that should be attached to the record that loads.
At the bottom of that form are three buttons. They move from one record to another. I want the notes subform to change when I move to another record.
How do I link the subform to the record loaded on the form.
I have a Datasheet view of a form and it displays a "+" symbol. When expanded it returns a list of related records. How do I get rid of the "+" in my form?
The attached Access XP file demonstrates my problem. I've included a form to make testing easier.
Each record in the Projects table has one or more linked entries in the Keywordlink table, showing keywords that apply to that record. Each record in Projects has a Yes/No 'Utility' field.
A third table, Keywords, supplies the keywords that the user can apply to records in Projects, using the subform on the main form. The Keywords table also includes a True/False 'Utility' field. I have set this to True for for the first three keywords.
I need a query, a series of queries or some VB code that updates Projects_Utility for all records to True if and only if the record's linked entries in Keywordlink include all of the keywords for which Keywords_Utility is True (a boolean 'and', as opposed to an 'or'). Otherwise, Projects_Utility must be set to False.
In the attached file, with the current settings in the Keyword table, the 'GetSelectedProjects' query should then produce single-row listings for ClientA and ClientF.
I'd appreciate any help you can give me on this. I'm not a programmer, but I can manage a bit of VB code if I have to.
I have a table "Product" and in this table I have two fields "StoragePlaceID1" and "StoragePlaceID2". Both these fields link to the look-up table "StoragePlace"

When I want to add a new Product from my inter face i get the error you can see in the Attached Image "Save_Error".I think the problem is that the Relationship is defined as One-to-Many,there a way to define the relationship as Zero-to-Many.
I am pretty new to MS access and have a question that I have not been able to figure out. I am making a database with a form to input the data in to the database. The only thing is I want to be able to search/lookup/record data by the products ID code and not by its record number. For example, product 1234 instead of entry number 1. How would I go about this? I am creating a database where I will select recipes from one table and then create a shopping list through related ingredients from another table. I want to be able to clear all selected recipes before I start a new class.
For example, I have 100 recipes and am using 10 this week, but next week i am using a different 10. To create a new grocery list I want to clear all of this week's selected recipes before selecting the new bunch of recipes.
Is there a way (I am assuming a macro would be used) to insert a command button that would change all y/n values of the recipes table to no?
I have a database that I am creating for my work. I have a form that I am trying to get it to search the information from a table to pull the record on the form. I would like to search infomation such as employee id and wanting it to pull that information from the table.

Basically I have a table with multiple fields & records and I would like to key on the ID field which has a slew of different ID's..... these ID's can be the same & show up on the table anywhere from 1 to 600 times.
What I'm trying to do is select each ID and pull only 10 records for each or if less than 10 pull in those as well.
So instead of pulling in the 600 records for that particular ID I only want to pull in 10 of those records, and for the ID that only has the 1 record pull in the info for that as well.

If I could populate a table where the number of records equal the value of the pieces column then it's a pretty simple report but I can't figure this out.
I have a query with many fields. One of them is the combination of two fields and is called "Components Reference". What I try to do is, every time this query is updated, the records of only this field "Components Reference" to be written to the field of another table which also takes records from an another query. I wish I was clear enough.
I am looking to add a field to my table with a timestamp for each new entry.
I am working with a split database. All of the records are inputted by forms (in the back end by other users). I want to be able to see the exact time that a record was added, but without having to add this field to the actual form. I just want to be able to have a field in the table that shows me when the user submitted an entry. Is there a way to add an automatic timestamp field to the table?
I am putting the finishing touches on a DB and have come up with a a problem which I cannot solve. I have code on my data entry form that concatenated the days and times of up to five days. That is : [Day1] & " " & "@" & " " & Format([Time1],"h:nn AM/PM") & " " & ";" and so forth for five days. It has a complicated (for me) nested IIF statement and it works fine on the form. But I have now transferred the data from an old DOS DB and I do not want to go through almost 5K records just to update three fields.When I tried to do it in an update query, it said that the string was too long for the update. My update is:
how to update the table if a field is blank without clicking through all 5K records? I have tried simple concatenation, but I usually get a lot of extra @ in the field.
I'm trying to run an if statment, on the records in a field (called "Current_Month"), in an existing table called ""Current_Months_Lag1_Data".
The IF statements work fine - and simply perform a different action for different data in "Current_Month".
I am having problems referring to "Current_Month", where I keep getting 424 (Object required) and 3420 (Object invalid) error messages, on the last line of code.
I have defined & identified the table in which the field is located, yet somehow cannot identify the field within that table. (I've already tried searching the web for similar problems under error messages 424 & 3420).

I Have a project form test form sample form for 1 project there are n tests and for 1 test there are n samples.
The project form is alone and has a button to open the related tests in the test form. The test form incorporates the sample form as a subform.
What works: For entries already in the database when I click the related tests button on the project form it opens the test form filtered in the correct manner.
For the test form the sample form displays and increments correctly.
What doesn't work: When I open the project form in add mode I fill in the data and when it is done I click the related tests button and the linked/child field isn't there! No data, I can't get it to work...
Can you suggest something?
PS I cannot find anywhere in the Data properties the Linked field properties... neither child nor parent?
Is it possible i create one master table and link few table together?? In the mdb that i attached there have 3 table - tblMaster, tblConfiguration1 and tblConfiguration2. Using the relationship to link tblMaster's field Configuration to other 2 table Configuration field but there only showing 1 table data. Is it allow in tblMaster able to show this 2 table together??
I have a new table that I added to the back end of my Access 2003 database. I compacted & repaired both the front and back and I can't see the new table in the front end still. Do you know why this is?? I can't find anything on this. thanks-
In my table I have Picture (OLE) and Link_String (Text) On my Form I have the OLE field and the text field.
In the text field I would like to put in a reference to a file on my computer (example: P:PicturesTest.jpg) and the picture OLE field should then show the linked to picture.
I have a form/subform that I want to link together using a memo column, yet when I try Access tells me that the column datatypes are incompatible. I've even tried making both the form's and subform's recordsource be the same table. Any idea how I can do this?
Ok so the Data I have holds a hyperlink to a file this field is "basepath".In Form view I want to have a command button that reads the basepath (for that record) then opens said hyper link.
