List Box Column Property.

Hi all..
I use the following code in my application to select a particular column value in a list box..
myvalue = SearchResults_LB.Column(5, i)
In my computer the column count starts with 0. So, the above statement sets the myvalue to the 6th column. But when I install the same application on an other computer it sets myvalue to 5th column.
Looks like I need to set the base value of the listbox column property somewhere!
I hope it is an easy one for many of you.

I have searched through this forum and on google, and I know that I can refer to a combobox's column property IN VBA by
[myform]![mycombobox].column(1)
When I do this in SQL, it complains that there is an "unidentified function" (column). What am I doing wrong?

How do I select the first column of a multi-column list box (called "List1") for a query.

I got 2 forms that are relatively similar. One of them works fine but the other does not. It still lets me enter data into the field even though Limit To List property is turned on. I believe this is a combo box and I gave this field a value list for the user to choose from.

I've set the column widths properly on the subform, but the down arrow on the list box is still outside of the selection area. It may have something to do with lookups or concatenations, but I'm not finding that so in what I can think of to trace down.
I exaggerated the width of the list box to show where the down arrow actually shows itself.
See the form "frm_Class_Skills_Update" in the attached database. I need it to be visible when the list box is about 1.25" more narrow.

I have created listbox with one column (contains one column only), now i would like to display all the characters of list item (want scroll bar to listbox).
How do i display all text of list item, I have already fixed Column Widths to max length (22";0.1"). However when scrolling to right, it is going to next blank column of list box, which is created only to change Column Widths property.

I have a 2 column, multiselect listbox which is bound to a table. The querry to populate it is this:
SELECT processus.id, processus.version FROM processus ORDER BY [cle_tri], [version];
Now my problem is that when I do this:
msgbox listbox.itemdata(1) , it gives me the value of the 'id' but I want the values of both 'id' and 'version' extracted from the listbox. How do I do that? Any Ideas??

Hi there,
I'm sure I'm not being dim, but I really can't figure how to do this.
I have a list box with two columns. One column (bound) is a name, the other is a unique ID. I need to transfer both the Name and the ID to a second list box (again, two columns).
I can get it to do this with single selections, but not multiple ones, and this is what I need.
Any ideas?

I have a list box derived from a two column SQL select. When I try to use the user selected element I only get the first column data value.
In debugging I have tried ...
Ret = MsgBox(Me.List6.Value, vbOKCancel)
and...
Ret = MsgBox([Forms]![MeetingStatus]![List6], vbOKCancel)
Both of which return the selected row, first column value only.
I can find no help on how to return the content of the second column or the selection as a whole.

I'm not familiar with listbox yet and i want to filter my form using it.
I have two separate listboxes which display "category" & "type" data from the same table.
Here is the situation i wanted for my listbox.
1. Select one data from "category" listbox.
2. Then it will automatically filter data from "type" listbox or it will list all related "type" data corresponding to "category" data.
3. Then select one data from "type" listbox and it will filter all related data on the form/sub-form.
Is it possible to do that way? Can i do it on multicolumn listbox instead of using 2 listbox?

If I have a Query, and I want to list the sum of one of the columns of that query in another text box on a form, is this the correct way of doing it?
=Sum([Drivers Other Shifts].[Duration])
In this case, "Drivers Other Shifts" is the name of the Query, and "Duration" is the column header. When I try this I get #ERROR, so if it's just that something else is wrong, or that my expression is the wrong way to go about it...

I have a list box and a series of 11 fields a user can search by. My problem is that the List Box has changed the column order.
Example: In the design wizard of the list box I had it such that the columns were in order 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11
Now after I hit search the fields populate out of order... 4, 9, 2, 1, etc...

I am designing a contact database for a diocese and the contacts record form is divided into several tabs, some of which are hidden by default. One of the controls on the form is a listbox (lboRoles), where a user can add one or more roles to contacts. The listbox has a hidden column that defines the TabIndex for the assigned role, and my goal is to make the associated tab on the form that was previously hidden, to now be visible.
For example, if a contact is assigned the role "Committee Member" and the tabindex value for that role is 3, the form should make the hidden tab (where the page index is also 3) now visible.

I am new to Access and am trying to reduce a dataset I am working with to make it managable for Excel. I have three columns which have three unique parameters and one column with numberical content.
Column A Column B Column C Column D
NJ Red Monday 10
NJ Red Tuesday 20
NJ Yellow Wednesday 30
NY Red Monday 35

NY Green Wednesday 60
I want to elimiate column C from the dataset, and sum column D for every unique combination of Column A & Column B. I have figured out how to reduce down the dataset to get a list of all unique combinations of Column A&B,what formula I can use in a query to sum column D on my table for every unique combination of column A&B. This is a simple SUMIF in excel, but my dataset is too large for excel.

I have a data base with names, email IDs, phone numbers of 5 types(example quality, security, IT,finance etc) of person from ten different project teams. I created a basic form for the end user to enter values and created fields for each of the person's name, email ID etc based on the personal type( liek quality, IT, finance etc) on each team. The background table contains records of almost 200 people now.
All of these people will be trained for one task and some will be trained for multiple tasks. I know how to make the combo box allow multiple values/selections but, i cannot list out all 200 personal names in the combobox's rowsource/value list. Is it possible to combine all different name fields and list out all personal(of one team), so that the end user can just select multiple names for that team who have been trained and so on. i need to set the rowsource of the combobox to the values of all personal from one team so the team leader can just go select who has been trained and who has not.

The following code works to change the column header name for a listbox in form view when the data source is a local table, but not when the data comes from a sharepoint list.

Hi all,
In the organisation that I work for employees get paid every 2 weeks on a Saturday. So for this financial year the pay period end dates have been 08/07/2006, 22/07/2006, 05/08/2006 etc
I have a column in an Access table listing various dates. I want the next column to be
populated with the next pay period end date after that date.
So if DATE is 05/07/2006 I want PAY PERIOD END to be 08/07/2006
and if DATE is 09/07/2006 I want PAY PERIOD END to be 22/07/2006 etc
How do I do this?
