Just wondering how can I make a form that shows only 5 months old records. I know it has to be through a query but don't know how to proceed.

Need Querry To Show Records That Are 3 Months Old
Aug 27, 2005I have a querry designed to show loans that have a start date and an end date. I want my querry to show loans that have a start date, no end date, and that are 3 months old. Here is what I have so far but I can't figure out how to increment the 3 months on the start date:
SELECT Detail.CustomerID, Detail.TransactionID, Loan.LoanAmount, Loan.StartDate, Loan.EndDate, Loan.LoanLender
FROM Detail INNER JOIN Loan ON Detail.CustomerID = Loan.TransactionID
WHERE (((Loan.EndDate) Is Null))
WHERE ((( Loan.StartDate)) Is

Only Show Records Older Than 6 Months
Mar 3, 2008Is there an expression to show records in a query that are older than 6 months?
At the moment I have to go into the database every month and change the criteria date ie:
<#01/09/2007#
It would be much easier if it could do this automatically with an expression.
Can anyone tell me if ones exists?

I need the code for a filter or query which will show the past x (12, 24 etc) months worth of data. Each record has a date tag so i need a filter which will just show records for say the past 3 months.

As you can see the months are in order alphabetically. How can I fix my query so the months can be in the right order. Jan,Feb,Mar etc?
I imagine it is a simple procedure but I am not sure how. PLEASE HELP :confused:

Queries :: Dates In A Query - Show Orders By Month For Last 12 Months
Apr 22, 2013I want to create a simple query from a list of orders dating back over 12 months.
The fields I have is Ord_Date, Qty
I need to show the orders by month for the last 12 months.
The problem I am getting is that the orders for the month of April (as we are in April now) contain orders from 1st - 22nd April 2013 and orders from 23rd - 30th April 2012, therefore confusing the figures.
I would just like orders grouped by month with a total qty dating back 12 months, but without any old orders for the current month.

Mar 22, 2013I currently have a form where users can enter an "End Date", click a button, and it queries the data from 12 months prior to "End Date" entered.
Is there a way to force the query to show all 12 months, even if there are no records for a particular month? For example: if the user enters February 2013 in the date field, I would like the query to return:
March 2012
April 2012
May 2012
June 2012
July 2012
August 2012
September 2012
October 2012
November 2012
December 2012
January 2013
February 2013
...so even if June 2012 has no records, it is included in the query with a value of zero.
This is what I have so far:

Mar 12, 2008Can't think how I would do this. If I create a query with a certain date then it will need to be changed every time the query is run. How would I write a query that automatically looks for a date 3 months or more old.

Aug 6, 2014We have a field (tbl_Enrolment.CourseCompletedOn) which holds the date a colleague completed a course. I want to bring through all courses completed within 12 months of todays date ( Date() ) from our database. I checked google and it suggested YEAR but that would only bring through dates with the same year, not within a 12 month period.

Jun 3, 2014Once I enter records in my form and move to a new record, they won't show up in the form. For some reason there are a few records showing in the form but not all. Unsure what has happened or what I need to do to get the records showing.
If I open a the form called frmhome, I can enter information search on hours completed and even enter new towns. The table that the information gets entered into is called Crisis_support_workers. If you open this table, you will see a lot of information that has been entered. However, if you open the form that is meant to put info into that table, there is only 7 records and most of them are blank records. The form where info is entered is called Crisis_support_workers v3.
Show Filtered Form Records In A Combo Box
Oct 17, 2006This sounds like a cascading combo box issue but it isn't quite.
I filter my form using 2 unbound combo boxes which can be used in any order, both of which define text strings using case select. These strings are concatenated into a filter text and applied by a routine called in the after update event of either combo. All works well.
My question: How can I show all the filtered records in a third combo box so that users can easily select the record of interest from the filtered set?
I attempted to define SQL for each combination of the 2 comboboxes but it was getting ludicrously complicated so that got the heave ho.
After that, I attempted to use a recordset clone, but I couldn't get this to work:

Reading the Access help, it seems that a combo box can only be populted via query, table or SQL. Is there any way of using a cloned recordset or the me.filter to show the filtered form records in a combo or list box?

Feb 21, 2014I created a split form. My main form is just a form, based off of tblBlotter. The subform is based off a query, which is the based off the same tblBlotter. (Not sure if this is proper - maybe I just need the table?)
I have a link master and link child field set to ID. When I open the form "subBlotterHistory", it opens and shows as a new record only. I want it to show ALL records on the query subform and be able to scroll up, down and edit.
Attached is a sample w bogus data.

The filter criteria are a date and a name, a list of which are in a separate table.They are separate fields for first and last name but i would like to filter with both and display them concatenated in the list.

Jul 22, 2014I have attached a student database that I created using the student database template in Access and have added additional tables, queries, etc. to fit our needs. One of the issues I'm having is users who are not very computer literate don't always remember if they have entered the right dates for attendance.
I had the idea of creating a "sample" student for each corresponding cycle with 100% attendance so they can compare what they have entered to what they "should" have entered. The reports are based on a query, so I know I can have the sample student show up with the correct information there. However, in the STUDENT DETAILS FORM, there is a pre-made code for the student's names to appear in the drop down and when you forward to the next record.
Can I have that altered to only show the ACTIVE students? This way the termed students would also not be a part of this drop down. I should still be able to go into the table itself and put in the sample student information when I create a new cycle, correct?

Apr 11, 2013I work at a small mental health clinic and am trying to accomplish the following.
What I have:I have one table that lists all of the patients, their phone number, address, etc.
In another table, it lists the medications that each patient takes, as well as the strength, dosage, etc.
The two tables have a relationship via the "Patient ID" column in each table.
Most patients have multiple entries in the second table, as most patients take multiple medications.
What I am attempting to accomplish:The main form in my database simply lists all the patients names in datasheet view. I want to be able to click a Patient's name, then go to a form that lists all of that patients medications. I've attached a screenshot that encapsulates precisely what I am looking to accomplish.
Since most patients take multiple medications, I need to be able to list multiple records in a single form, grouped by medication name, just like in the attached image.
I am uncertain as to how to accomplish this. I've tried using subforms but it doesn't list the data at all? Also, it looks like an Access report can create precisely what I need, but I need to have a live form that I can use to update data real-time.
Forms :: Records Don't Show When Created From Blank Form?
Aug 29, 2013Very suddenly today, when I'd done seemingly nothing, all of the records from my form that I'd built from a blank form disappeared, with the exception of the first record. When I try to just close everything down, nothing changes. When I put in a new record to the form, however, it's saved in the table. But when I save and close, the form goes back to only having the first record! This is very annoying, for easily perceivable reasons. I even tried creating the form from scratch, to see if it's some residual SQL update code acting funny, and nothing changed! It seems to work if I select a table and just create a form, though. It doesn't even work when it's a splitform and whatnot.

Nov 19, 2013I have the below code to reset my subform after I have filtered it using some combo boxes. One of my fields in the underlying table had a calculated field so I'd get an error when clicking the reset button. I edited the query to update the 'type' field and deleted the calculated field in the table but now get another error. The exact error is 'Run-Time error '3327' Field 'Type' is based on an expression and cannot be edited.' It appears it will not reset my form and show all records as long as this field is based on an expression.

Jul 13, 2015I have a form based on a query in datasheet view. What i would like is to show only those records that fulfill the truepart of iif statment, and do not show the ones that fulfill the false part.
I have the following fileds in the query
month

In the form, the control named month contains the following code:
control source: =IIf([checkbox1]=no;[month];0)
So this gives the appropriate months, but also shows the all other records with a 0 in the month field. I would like to get only the records shown that are correct with the truepart of the statement.

Dec 4, 2014How can I make certain my user enters records on a subform before attempting to save the main form? Right now they can completely ignore the subform before saving the record.The Main form has business address, etc. on it. the subform is bound to a join table that lists the multiple categories, subcategories and sector the business is listed in for a directory.
I already have my fields set to required at the table level in the join table, and have some existing VBA in both my subform (to update edited date) and my form (to validate empty records where a certain condition is met) but that's not the issue...
How do I focus the user to enter a record on the subform to the point where they are forced to enter something and complete the subform before the record is updated.

Mar 4, 2014I have a main form [Job Quote Form 10-2205] and I am trying to add a command button to open up [Job Process Form-MKD] and have the [Job Process Form-MKD] open up and only show the records that match a certain field, in this case what I call "JobTrackNo" in the [Job Process Form-MKD]. (see attached .jpg)
This problem started to happen only recently, namely you will see that the left column under [Job Quote Form 10-2205] is blank, where normally there had been a number of fields to choose from. The fields are all still available, they are just not opening when I try to match two fields.
