I've taking the time to create a complicated Form in Access, and would now like to have it accessed through a browser. Using the Northwind Orders from as an example, is there an easy way of making that from available through a browser without having to re-design it in InfoPath or a Data Access Page?
View Repliesi have created a form based on a query and basically the form comes up as a whole page spread and i would like it to just come up as a small form instead of a whole page. i think i go into properties and then choose the actual form but i just need to know how to make it so its small.

I have a database where I have 3 tables. first is client data, second orders data and third the products data.
What I would like, is to have a button on my form that after selecting from a combobox a product, it wil enter it in the tabel orders in the next available free record (row). I created a button and the combobox in the client form. The Products table has also the price per unit in it. It should take the whole row of data and put it in the Orders table.
Is there a way to do this? I guess it needs to be done with vba, but not sure.
I have one-page forms which print a second page, blank except for a block of grey shading at the top. I have tried moving the content of the form up but that doesn't eliminate the second page. If I look at print preview, every second page of the entire database shows up as blank, regardless of where that happens to appear in the record.

Hi All
I have added the Allen Browne Calendar 2k control to my form.
My form consists of 4 pages. On pages 2 and 3 I have subforms and on page 4 I have Personal data. Page 1 is general data and the Calendar is on Page 1.
What is happening is that the Calendar is also being displayed on my 4th page, in the same position as page 1. When I try to move it, cover it or delete it from page 4, it is also gone from page 1.
Any suggestions please?

I’m trying to make a simple program form y Company as enclosed. But since I am new about Access I don’t know how I can solve my problems certainly so, I need your help about.
We are getting orders from the customers and we are buying from domestic market. I want to make easier to send purchasing orders to my suppliers. Normally, as you can see from the enclosed file sales person enter the order to the system (Orders TARIK KARABAY form). We want to use these data while preparing purchasing orders but we are buying some of the goods completely manufactured by our suppliers. We mean we buy the item and sell directly to the customer. This step is easy. At the same time we are buying parts from suppliers and assemble in our warehouse. I mean we produce them. This is the problem I have. One of the goods we buy is HTS3; we buy directly as HTS3 from the supplier or we buy HT3 from one supplier and R3 from another one and KD3 from a third one and we assemble HT3, R3 and KD3 in warehouse and we obtain HTS3.
While buying as HTS3 it is easy as the only thing is to add Supplier name to the system. But while it would be produced in house, the system has to prepare purchasing form for HT3, R3 and KD3.
Purchasing department will see the Order Form, they would prepare the purchasing easily without writing again.
I don’t know what kind of tables and forms I have to open to solve this problem.
I have a subform within a form called orders and the subform gets its information from a field of item ID but i cannot enter another item if i change the information in the form it replaces the info in the subform so i lose the first item ordered i need it to be able to display orders of more than one item

I have a database with 2 tables: tbl_Client and tbl_Orders
I would like to sum the total from the sold products and show them in the form in a text field called 'Total sales" the data from the table orders appear as a sub form in the main form Client.
It would be great to have for each client appear the total sales in the form, but I'm not able to find the formula for this so the table tbl_Orders field "TotalPrice" will be sumed.
I have a form with six tabbed pages on it. Since data entry follows in a logical order I would like to put a command button on the bottom of each page (subform) that can be used to go to the next page. What I am going to though? If i put a command button (open form) then it opens the whole form not as a subform on a tabbed page. if I try and put a command button (open page) then it will not let me enter the page number. Hope that makes sense! Any ideas

- My checkbox is named: Case is a Readmission from WRCA IP to WRCA IP
- My textbox is named: Date of Current IP Admission (I have defaulted this textbox to not visible).
Here's the code I have written:

I have a simple Excel spreadsheet with a column for town and a column for the price to deliver to that town. An autofilter allows the user to select the town, which will then display the price.
I want to add this feature to an Access database but am struggling to implement it into a form. Does anyone have any ideas?

Okay, I'm pretty new at access. I have made tables for medication samples and sign out. I need some help in making a form to input and "sign out" meds.
I made the tables and allowed the wizard to create a form for me but I have some tables that don't show a relationship, and am not sure what to do.
The two forms I want are a data entry form that will enter the med, dose, lot#, exp. date, and number of samples for sign in, and, a form to enter date, patient last and first name, med, dose, lot #, expiration date, #of samples given, clinic and practitioner. I have attached the tables I made, can someone review and see if I messed up somewhere???? Thanks alot, I'm all for making our work lives easier! Robin.
In my DB I have a table of Member Names. It consist primarily of the key field MemRecNum and Last Name. I use a combo box to select the MemRecNum but show the Last Name in the box.
Further on down the form I either need to relate a guest to this member or his wife. There is a checkbox which identifies whether the name in that field is a guest or a wife. However, I would like to make it so that when I check the checkbox (yes) the last name of the member automatically appears in the field. I use this statement in the control: =IIf([Wife1]=Yes,Members!MemLastName,""). Since the recnum is what is stored in this table, when I use the above statement, I get a #name? error. Any Ideas? I am looking to create a matrix like table in a form. It would be used for accessing the capability of Project Managers for a recruitment company. On the X axis there will be different industries (ie IT, Finance etc). On the Y axis there will be different categories (like strategy, applications etc). Then I will need some kind of drop down box to link it all together and give each person a score out of 5. So for example somebody could have a score of 2 for their Strategy knowledge in IT Companies but a score of 5 for their Strategy knowledge in Applications etc...
Does anyone know if this is possible and if so any help on how to construct this would be much appreciated,

I have a report which includes several subreports. There will be times when a subreport prints partially on one page and completes on the next. I don't always want to break to a new page with this subreport. However, I would want to break to a new page if the subreport cannot fully print on the current page.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a form that shows a companies engagement with our company. If someone wants to edit the details of that company (address phone number etc...), they click the "edit" button, which then opens a form where edits can be performed.
After the edits are done, the user clicks a save and close button which runs docmd.runcommand acCmdSaveRecord, and returns to the companies engagement form.
When I return to the company engagement form, I would like to see the companies information reflect the changes that I just made. Currently, I can only do this by exiting the form and re-opening. I have tried using Me.Requery in the OnGotFocus, Activate and Current events to no avail.
I should mention that I have a company combo box with multiple columns that are used to display address, postal code, etc... in textboxes on the same form.
I have a report that lists states and cities within the states. When a state name happens to be at the end of the page the individual cities appear on the next page with no State heading. I solved the second page problem by setting the "repeatSection = Yes" in the Section Header (though I haven't shown that in the example below).
But the previous page (which just shows the State Name and no cities looks dumb. Is there some sort of solution.??
(Actually I would also like any State that continues to a next page to not just have the state name but something like
" Colorado (Continued)" Is there anything I can do in VB to make a page break if the section is going to print but therer isn't enough room for one detail line?

If I have a report and it has controls (labels representing column titles) in the page header. Now when I print the report - if it happens that the last page has no detail records - but there is text boxes and so forth in the report footer. Is there a way to not display the page header on the last page?
I have a report where the last page shows the page header - and the field/column labels on the page header - but for which there is no detail records left to display - on the last page. There is report footer information that should display. It just looks weird because the field/column labels show at the top of the page - but there is no data remaining to print under them on that last page.

All the tables are linked and its all based on printers. When a new printer is brought if it exists in the database then thats cool it just needs a Printer number assigned to it and the database will do the rest looking up printer model and what cartridges it requires. But if u add a model for a HP printer for example you need to add the model number to the tblink and create new cartridges and use the cartid to link the modelID i hope u get the picture!? lol there is a pdf i have created using onenote with screen dumps and comments about what i need it to do. I want to make changes to the info in the form and have the changes update the correct employee on the table. Currently the from will not let me make changes to the info and the table seems to add new lines rather than updating the corresponding line.

I am working on a database used in recording device characteristics/test information. The main table of information has dozens of columns for test/part detailed information. When inputing the data for each specific test, many of the info. details are repeated when testing say 20 devices of the same part all at once. Rather than retype every piece of detailed information in every field, everytime, is there an easier way? Does anyone know of a way to make specific fields copy/paste the previous record's information in the fields automatically when a new record is created? Please, if anyone could help or has ANY ideas, let me know...

I have a data access page needs a filter by a dropdownlist, the dropdownlist used is a html control and I use javascript to filter the data programmaticlly in the onchanged event of the control.
MSODSC.DataPages(0).Recordset.Filter="AppID = 3";
My problem is, when this statement runs, the page refreshes. But I don't need the page refreshes, it set the dropdownlist text to the default text, not the value user select. The browser is IE7.
How can I stop the page refresh itself?
