I have created something from our transport department and need to set up so he can select a command button and email from a query, but where would I put the query details in the coding below
VBA used
Dim strSQL
Dim db As DAO.Database
Dim MailList As DAO.Recordset
Dim objOutlook As Outlook.Application
Dim objemail As Outlook.MailItem
Dim Subjectline As String
Dim BodyFile As String
I have a form which has a button to email the data out in a standard email message.
Private Sub Command60_Click() Dim MyDb As dao.Database Dim rsEmail As dao.Recordset Dim sToName As String Dim sSubject As String Dim sMessageBody As String
[code]...
This works well enough, however, FIELDS 11 through to 16 contain the venue address. This is all we ll and good if every field of the venue address is populated. here are times when not all of the fields are populated, for instance, the address might only be 5 lines.I know I can do this using IIf statements on a report, but how can i achieve the same thing for the email.
I have made a query with the name "Confirmation" and it is setup like this:
Name trainee Email Training John John@mail.com Tr one Mary Mary@mail.com Tr two
I also made a button in a report with the title "Send Mail" now is my goal that if i press that button automatically multiple e-mail message's will be generated with data from people in that query. So if click on that "Send Email" button i want two different mails messages generated that will be send to John@mail.com and Mary@mail.com with in the mail body their data.
I have a query table in Access 2007 with requests pending an individuals review and approval. I would like to create an automatic email each day to that individual which includes the actual query table impeded as part of the body of the email (not as an attachment).
I'm trying to put multiple records of data from a subform in a single e-mail, and my Outlook calendar. I have a contracting business, and on my Orders form (which details a single client), I have a sub-form that lists all the items to be done at that client's home (a different record for each work item). When I send an e-mail, or post the appointment to the Outlook calendar, I am trying to list all those records in the body of the e-mail, and/or in the Notes section of the appointment. I created the query to call the records, but have not figured out a way to use it in the code.
There are two forms to be filled out on Access. One (maybe two) come from our Contractor. They will input the Bill of Materials, Scrap Rates, Inventory Turns and Cost. This goes to a non-official Bill of Materials table. The second form comes from our Supplier. They will input the the cost they charge the contractor for the given Bill of Materials. Access runs a report that will automatically compare the Contractor costs with the Supplier costs for each component on the Bill of Materials. If the component costs match, it will highlight the Contractor cost green, it they do not, it highlights red.
If all numbers are green, I hit the "Approve" button on the report and there are three queries that need to be ran. An Update Query that changes all the statuses for the components from "Unapproved" to "Approved", an Append Query to add the Bill of Materials to our official table, and a Delete Query that removes the components from the unofficial Bill of Materials table. Once this is all done, an e-mail needs to be sent to Finance to roll costing for the SKU. I do not know the best way, but I currently am having getting the Code to do the following:
1. Put the specific SKU in the e-mail, which is variable. 2. Change the Criteria of the Queries so they only run for the specific approved sku 3. Get the "Approve" and "Deny" buttons on the report to only function for the specific SKU.
Currently all the SKUs that are in "Unapproved" status show on the report. Once I hit approve, it wants to approve all the SKUs, not just the one I'm looking at.
Code: Sub Command36_Click() '''Current Issue: Need Query Criteria to be SKU specific''' 'Update Query to change BOM status to "Approved" DoCmd.OpenQuery "(2302) BOM - 3PM Entry Query Approved", acViewNormal, acEdit
I am currently using vb code to send an email in Access on the click of a button. I want the database user to be able to enter the recipient in a text box [ToEmail] which is on form [GroupStockProfiler]. However, I'm unsure how to put this into my code. I currently have the following which doesn't work (unless I put a specific email after 'To'):
I am trying to send a report to a list of employees. I have a query that generates the report into the layout I want and includes the e-mail address of who the recipient should be. The report looks something like this:
I need to send, for each row in the query, this report based on the results of that particular row. How would I go about making a e-mail template that would be used, or at least sending the report as a PDF attachment? I've seen the sendObject method.
I have an automated email system (Lotus Notes) in a Access database I have created and am looking for the code needed to add up to 3 c.c addresses into an email prior to sending automatically.
The code I have to send the email to the To: individual is all working but what code I need to add and where for the c.c addresses of which there could be 1, 2 or 3. The control for To address is EmailTo = CustCopyEmail The controls for the 3 c.c emails are cc_EmailAddress, cc_EmailAddress1 and cc_EmailAddress2.
Here's the code I have:
Private Sub SEND_CC_Click() ' Set up the objects required for Automation into Lotus Notes. Dim Maildb As Object 'The mail database. Dim Session As Object 'The Lotus Notes session. Dim MailDoc As Object 'The mail document itself. Dim UserName As String 'The current users Lotus Notes name.
Any code that stops the vba from running if an 'output to' function is null. I've found some code using the DCount function but I'm struggling to adapt this to multiple excel outputs.
I'm sending 5 excel files via E mail to several addresses and I'm wanting to identify if the first file has records, currently using access 2010.
I have created some code to get the records of a query and it puts them in the body of the email but it doesn't format it well for example the email looks like
James | halliwell | 31 Leanne | smith |27 Alexis | smith |8
I would like it to be in a table is this possible,
Code: Public Function SendEmail() Dim MyDB As DAO.Database Dim rst As DAO.Recordset Set MyDB = CurrentDb
I am trying to loop through a query results to extract email addresses from a query result.
I have the following code
NameCriteria = Forms![MainMenu]![tbl_Course_Details]![Course_Name].Value DateCriteria = Forms![MainMenu]![tbl_Course_Details]![Course Date].Value Dim db As DAO.Database Dim rs As DAO.Recordset Dim sqlStr As String
[Code] .....
If i run this in access as a query then it returns results but when i run in there then it says no current Record and i cant work out why?
Someone on another post said that sql uses US date format so i tried converting to us date and still no results?
I am trying to make an automation in order generate reports based on query ( person name, person email address ) , export them to a folder in PDF and then send them one by one to each person email address.
What is happening:
- the reports are generated and exported fine - the email are sent to the right addresses but the first person receives the correct report , the second person receives the report from the first person plus its own report and so on.
Here is my code :
Private Sub MakeReportSendEmail_Click() Dim MyDB As DAO.Database Dim MyRS As DAO.Recordset Dim strSQL As String Dim strRptName As String
I know Access can setup an Outlook Task to auto-export query to Excel, but it requires the Outlook to be always open on the user's computer.
Is there an easy way to setup a schedule that can automatically export a query to Excel and this schedule will then auto-email the exported Excel file to an email address every Monday at 5AM for example?
If this can only be done in VBA, any reference I may start with?
I am trying to create a form button that will automatically email each row of a query result to myself. At first the VBA code worked fine with a standard query. However when I use it with a query that contains a reference to a combobox form such as "<=[Forms]![Reminder]![Monthsleft].[Value] And >=0" I get the 3061 run-time error and "Too few parameters. Expected 1." I have included the VBA code below.
Private Sub Command9_Click() Dim MyDb As DAO.Database Dim rsEmail As DAO.Recordset Dim sToName As String Dim sSubject As String Dim sMessageBody As String
[code]....
If you intend to renew the lease, terms and conditions will need to be submitted for ECC for approval (regardless of changes or not in lease rates). If the terms have yet to be confirmed, it is important to begin the negotiation process as soon as possible with a target to provide the ECC submission at least two months prior to the commencement date of the renewed lease. To ensure sufficient time for ECC approval before the contract expiry date, please prepare the ECC paper and obtain necessary endorsements. Submission details can be found here. The ECC submission template and PSD Questionnaire could be found from this link
I am trying to query my records by the current records selected date then send the results in the body of an email on click. I believe I am close but I think there is a problem with the date format because I am getting 3421 Data type conversion error. Here is what I have:
Code:
Private Sub eMail_Click() On Error GoTo EH Dim dbExceptions As Database Dim rstExceptions As Recordset Dim dbDate As Database Dim rstDate As Recordset
I have a query (Access 2007) that contains a field named "email" (which contains email addresses, of course). I want to email everyone in the query and they are all going to receive the same message. My email to them doesn't have to be personalized and I don't need to collect data from the recipients. I don't even need a reply to the email I send.
I have a database that I can use to create a query, grouping companies by city. I then want to send a specific email I have created in outlook to all of the email addresses in the query.I do not need to include names.
I am trying to create a form with a button attached to each record that would allow the user to click the button and it would automatically open outlook and fill in the TO:, SUBJECT: and BODY: fields. Here is the code that I currently have:
Code: Private Sub Command33_Click() Dim strEmail As String Dim strMsg As String Dim oLook As Object Dim oMail As Object Set oLook = CreateObject("Outlook.Application") Set oMail = oLook.CreateItem(0)
[code]...
There are two issues I keep running into:
1. This code opens outlook and populates all of the fields but pastes the email incorrectly. Instead of pasting just the email (email@email.com) it pastes the html tags as well (email@email.com#mailto:email@email.com#) which means that the user would have to delete everything between the #'s in order to send the email every time.
2. I currently have the email BODY pulling from a table but this obviously limits what I can do. I would like to simply encode the BODY within the VBA code. The setup I am looking for is: one paragraph a blank line a hyperlink to a website a blank line another paragraph
Sending email using VBA & HTML. I want send email from access. Message in body contains some text and table in HTML format. I need check if email was really sent or cancelled with user.
Code: Set olApp = Outlook.Application Set objMail = olApp.CreateItem(olMailItem) With objMail 'Set body format to HTML
[Code] ...
I need some message (for example):
If error then MsgBox "Email not sent" Else MsgBox "Email sent" End If
I am having troubles adding email addresses to my CC box in my email. I am able to get the emails to populate into the "To:" space. Now I know I have the DLookup accessing the same record, but how can I make it so the CC_List puts the emails into the CC of the email?
Code: Dim DailyReport As Integer Dim EmailRecipiantsList As String Dim RecipiantName As String Dim CC_List As String
For MOST of the people who use the database, this works fine, and they send the email with the RTF attachment which all the recipients can open - but for some users, it generates a .tmp file which if you 'Open' it is just a load of gobbledegook, but it you 'View' it looks ok - but is truncating the report.what could be causing Access 2007 to create .tmp files rather than .rtf?
I have some code that will connect to a database and the analyst name from the table. the name is stored as "Peter Cetera" and it would need to change it to "Cetera, Peter", this way I can paste it inside outlook email (happens via vba).
I use the below code to catch the name from the database:
Code: Sub FindAnalystInDatabase() 'Declaring the necessary variables. Dim con As Object Dim rs As Object Dim AccessFile As String
[Code] ....
The first value returned is the BIN nr and the second is what is interesting form me.
I have the code for sending an email but I only want to send a single email when there are records in a query and only when the database is first opened.
I hadn't considered this in my design so what structural requirements would it require if any?
