Modules & VBA :: Linking Directly To Access Form From Email
Sep 30, 2014
I have a form which on selecting a command button sends out an email to a manager to say a specification is ready to be reviewed (this contains a link to a sharepoint site where the spec resides). The "approval" details are stored in by DB also so I would like to have included in that email a link back to the access db and the particular record so the person receiving the email can easily approve, if that makes sense.
Here is my code for generating the email (at the point "To approve please click here" is where I would like my link to go):
[i][i] Set OutApp = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
Set OutMail = OutApp.CreateItem(0)
strbody = "<font size=""3"" face=""Calibri"">" & _
I have a number of Excel spreadsheets (data sources) hosted on Sharepoint that I need to link to one single Access database.
At first. I cannot link the spreadsheets directly to Access because Access cannot read the spreadsheets on SharePoint to make the links.
Secondly, I can export the spreadsheets from SharePoint to a local folder on my PC and keep them 'refreshed'. The problem with this is that I cannot link Access to the local refreshed spreadsheets because of the (auto) extention .iqy. Access does not know the extention .iqy and hence the two cannot be linked at all.
Thus: How do I link an Excel spreadsheet hosted on SharePoint to MS Access.
I have a form which has a button to email the data out in a standard email message.
Private Sub Command60_Click() Dim MyDb As dao.Database Dim rsEmail As dao.Recordset Dim sToName As String Dim sSubject As String Dim sMessageBody As String

This works well enough, however, FIELDS 11 through to 16 contain the venue address. This is all we ll and good if every field of the venue address is populated. here are times when not all of the fields are populated, for instance, the address might only be 5 lines.I know I can do this using IIf statements on a report, but how can i achieve the same thing for the email.
As part of a larger system I currently have a standalone A2010 program which processes emails that it sees within Outlook. As my client is moving to Exchange Server I was wondering whether there was a better way of doing this by getting rid of Outlook and "talking" directly to Exchange.
Can you send a report directly to the printer? We have Clients with multiple Contact Notes, by multiple Clinicians, each of these are separate tables. Every month we print two reports for each client that had at least one contact in that date-range. Usually 200 clients, takes a lot of time. My approach so far is a query within a make-table query to get a list of unique client ID's that had one contact in the date-range. Then I use that table in code to create a recordset, use a Do Loop within that where I print the two reports for the 1st client, move to next record and loop. Now that I've got it working I'm not sure how to print all the reports My 1st question, can you send a report directly to the printer from code? The printer is a networked Konica Minolta Biz-hub so I think it can handle that many jobs being queued that fast.
I have a code for linking tables. It works on Access 32 bit.I modify the code for 64 bit (include PtrSafe after all Declares, etc...)But it doesn't work. When I try to chose database in dialog window, my program closed.
Code: Public Function GetDbPath(path_name As String) As Integer Dim i As Long i = MsgBox("The path to database is incorrect" _ & Chr(13) & "Chose new path?", vbOKCancel + vbExclamation) If i <> vbOK Then DoCmd.Quit Exit Function
My problem is: I have some sensors connected to Rs232 and i want the data to get directly to access. Today I use a solution that goes through some C++ program i made to a textfile and then I manually import to access.
The input looks something like this: 001 , 1688 , 789 (lots of them ;)) (id----nr-----nr)
And I want it to go directly to a table in access.
I am pretty new at access, so I am not sure what to do. help me please!
using Ms acess 2007 this code is working fine buuutttt....
This one worked, but sent everyones records DoCmd.SendObject _ acSendReport, _ "Contact Report", _ acFormatHTML, _ "realridergmail.com", _

I need it to send just the records belonging to the customer, they shouldnt be able to see anyone elses.how to send the dates that belong only to each customer?
Is there a way to directly access a TWAIN compatible scanner directly from a form button in Access 2007/2010 so that it will add one or more images to the specific table?
Hi.. I created a database using access database wizard. When I click on the mdb file the form directly opens, while when i click on the mdb file the I have made without using wizard, a list of tables appears and when i need to open a form i have to double click on the form. Is there any way I can directly get the form to open when I open the mdb file. I hope I am making my point clear here.
How would I set up an Outlook email using a list of recipients from an Access table? I'd like to be able to run this from Access 2007 and not Outlook. However, once the email is set up, I'd like to be able to go into the email and add subject, body, etc. before sending the email.
I would like to update the following code I have been using to send emails, from Access 2010 via Outlook 2010, to include my signature block with hard returns in between each line and a few above the signature.
Lets say the signature would be: My Name My Company Name My phone number My Reference
I tried next to: stMessage = Me![EmailMessage] &"My Name" & Chr(10) & Chr(13) & "My Company Name"
etc.
It does not work..
Here is the coding :
Code: Private Sub SendEmail_Click() On Error GoTo ProcErr Dim stLinkCriteria As String
I would like to know if it's possible to open an specific subform inside a navigation form using an event.
I also need to to this using macros ( really can't use vba in this project =/)
Form example:
the main form has "nav_opt1", "nav_opt2", "nav_opt3"
By double clicking a record in "nav_opt1", it will open "nav_opt2" with some filters (but all in the same window), as if I was just browsing through the navigation forms usually.
I have a 'main' table with a Project_Number that links all the data in my db together. I have another table that uses that Project_Number as a lookup field to connect that tables data to the main data. I created a 'main' form that has the ability to enter data for the 'main' table. I want to be able to press a button and have the second tables form pop up and add that that specific Project_Number. I added the button and went through the wizard process. I then added the linking info through the builder. It works fine if there is already data entered for the project_number in that specific field. but if the field is empty, the popup window doesn't recognize a project_number and doesn't add it to that record. below is what I am using. The project_number in the 'main' table is text and the Project_Number in the 2nd table in a number since it is a lookup field.
Private Sub CongressionalDistrictCmd_Click() On Error GoTo Err_CongressionalDistrictCmd_Click Dim stDocName As String
- I have emails with excel attachments coming in multiple times a day to outlook.
- I want to click a button in Access and automatically import the last excel attachment in my email in box based on the timestamp of when it came in (thus getting the last one).
I found a code that will go trough an emailbox and export all emails to a table in access. This part is working OK (except the received date). I also wante to show in the table if the email contains an attachment, but that part is not working at all. The project actually is meant to store the emails on a shared drive and attachments and have the emails in Access so I can see them all and recall the one needed.
Code: Private Sub Command14_Click() Dim TempRst As DAO.Recordset Dim rst As DAO.Recordset
I have code that automatically send emails out from an Access Customer Contacts Database. I am using Access and Outlook 2007 but the code needs to work with later versions of Access and Outlook.
I have very poor knowledge of coding and usually manage to cobble something together from looking at other code on the net but don't understand most of it.
I have the following code which works perfectly except I want to be able to embed an image in the email body (not have the image as an attachment but actually show it in the body of the email).
Most of the code I have found around this topic is too complex for me to understand and utilise within the context of the code I have.
Ideally I want to take the image from an attachment field in a table returned by the "tblMailingList_Query".
Code: Private Sub Command10_Click() Dim MyDB As Database Dim MyRS As Recordset Dim objOutlook As Outlook.Application Dim objOutlookMsg As Outlook.MailItem
I have a question about sending secure emails by VBA code in MS-Access. I have a Access application within you also can also send emails by VBA code using outlook. Everything works fine, but now the recipient wants to receive the mails with a digital signature by S/MIME.
I got a digital certificate from the recipient as a pfx-file.
In my Access app, I need to be able to retrieve a specific email by date/time, then take the Subject, the Date received and body of that email and save it to a column in a table.how to do this in Access VBA?
