Modules & VBA :: Navigation Button Do Not Continue

Sep 3, 2013

I have made a contact form where particular member credentials are coming in text boxes, i have kept a combo box also on the top to view by the phone number, if the phone number is entered the credential of the member comes, and also the navigation buttons that is first, previous, next and last.

The main problem if i select phone number by combo box on the top, the navigation button do not continue from that part, even if i press next or previous it shows no records found.

Modules & VBA :: Click Button (auto) - How To Refresh Navigation Bar

Jul 1, 2015

Code:

ExportWindow = FindWindow(vbNullString, "Output To")
OkButtonTest = FindWindowEx(ExportWindow, ByVal 0&, "DUIViewWndClassName", vbNullString)
ButtonOKTest = FindWindowEx(ExportWindow, ByVal 0&, "Button", "OK")
mouse_event MOUSEEVENTF_LEFTDOWN, 0, 0, 0, 0
mouse_event MOUSEEVENTF_LEFTUP, 0, 0, 0, 0

The above code works and my issue is how can I move the mouse to the OK button and click on it to. The reason why is when I SETTEXT to the address bar it does not refresh so I SETTEXT to the file name box to navigate to the prescribe address which will refresh the navigation bar once the OK button is clicked. How to refreshing the navigation bar.

I have a button on my form, that runs a series of queries then closes the form. It works great!!

How can I get the MsgBox feature to continue with all commands or cancel and close the form?

Here is my code without message box action

Private Sub AcceptChanges_Click()
DoCmd.SetWarnings False
Forms!SelectCustomerNewCustomerF!MergedRecordsF!CustomerID = Me.SecondID
Forms!SelectCustomerNewCustomerF!MergedRecordsF!MergedTo = Me.IDprimary
Forms!SelectPrimaryNewCustomerF!MergedRecordsF!UserID = Me.UserIdChange
DoEvents

[Code] ....

All of these actions work great, and do not need to be modified. it is just a msg box button to continue or cancel and close the form.

Modules & VBA :: How To Delay A Query But Continue To Enter Data

Jul 23, 2015

I am using Access 2007 & trying to update a database to include a check & balance.

Currently a user enters their name into a form, selects a check box (Pass or Fail) & clicks a save button. Real simple form. The actual testing is performed on a standalone piece of equipment separate or outside of the MS Access database.

Here is the challenge, if someone does select Fail, I want to ensure this person comes back into a blank form (new entry) & confirms they have eventually passed. I want to give a time limit of 10 minutes before an email is sent out to their superiors. (I have the email portion figured out already).

Other entries will take place before the failed user comes back to the entry form so the form needs to be available for other people to enter their results.

I believe this can be done using some VBA and a query but I am not sure where to start especially with the 10 minute allowance to recheck the test status.

Navigation Button In Subform

Nov 29, 2005

Hi,

I've got a form including a subform in datasheet view. I get rid of the defaulted scroll bars and navigation icons provided in the subform.

Now, I added my own buttons in the footer section to manage records in my subform ; by checking the forum, I understood that the items put in the footer or in the header section won't appear if I use the datasheet view.

Is there a way to use my own navigation buttons instead of the default ones ??

cheers.

Fab.

Form Navigation Button Bar Colour

Jul 26, 2005

Hi,

Is there a way to totally remove the navigation button bar? Even though setting form navigation buttons to "No" removes the buttons, the "bar that held the buttons" remains in it's default gray colour. I'm trying to make a subform blend in with the main form but this is posing to be a problem because of the old remains of the navigation "bar" (See attached image to see what I mean).

TIA.

Navigation Button Error Trapping

Jun 1, 2005

I've made my own record navigation buttons on a form. they work fine, except when i get to the first record. if i click 'previous' then the 2105 error pops up "you can't go to specified record". the buttons were created through the wizard, and have error trapping in them. for some reason, it never actually goes to the error handler. the error message comes up, i press debug, and the 'DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acPrevious' is highlighted.

any ideas why the error trapping isn't working? here's the code:

Private Sub cmdPrevJob_Click()
Dim x As Variant
On Error GoTo Err_cmdPrevJob_Click
DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acPrevious
Exit_cmdPrevJob_Click:
Exit Sub
Err_cmdPrevJob_Click:
If Err.Number = 2105 Then stop
MsgBox Err.Description
Resume Exit_cmdPrevJob_Click
End Sub

Forms :: Record Navigation Button

Mar 25, 2015

I am using Access 2007 and am a former user of an old flat-file 32 bit program under Windows 3.x. I am fairly new to MS Access 2007. I run a filter or query, which will return X number of records. Then, I will search those X records by specific text, such as "assist" from the record navigation buttons. I search for "assist" and the text will be highlighted each time it is found in any text or memo field in the record. Hitting Enter takes me to the next occurrence and highlights the text. If "assist" occurs in 4 fields in a record, for instance, it will be highlighted in each of those 4 fields one by one as I hit Enter. The next Enter takes me to the next record and will then continue to the next occurrence of assist" in any of its fields. It will continue to highlight "assist" in those fields, in succession, until the last occurrence in all of those records is found, in which case Enter does not return "assist" anymore because the last occurrence has already been found.

This does not always work. Often, I get every occurrence of "assist," but in the current record only, even though the word exists in other remaining records that were returned with my original filters/query.

Changing Color Of Record Navigation Button

Jan 17, 2006

Hi, I have a form and want to change the background color and the record scroll/navigation button colors.

Changing the background color is easy; just go into Design View, right click, and change the "background color" properties.

Changing the record select button (on the bottom of the form) is more a challenge for a newbie like me. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks

Help appreciated.

Forms :: How To Define Position Of A Navigation Button

Jun 3, 2013

Is it possible to define the position of a navigation button. For example, I want my first navigation button not starting totally on the left but a bit indented. Possible?

Secondly, suppose I have combo boxes on my first navigation button and for each combo box and choose a value, next I move to the second navigation and then back to the first navigation button. Then it always seems that the values of my combo boxed are reset to default value. Can this be avoided?

Forms :: Enable / Disable Navigation Button On Form Load?

Mar 25, 2013

Basically I want to put a code in the "on load" event of a form that enables or disables navigation buttons based on a value in a table (the table has 1 record and 1 column).

So if the value is "A", I want to hide navigation buttons on load; if it is "B", I want to show navigation buttons on load.

I know I can set this property in each form, but I have a number of forms that I want to configure at the same time.

My problem is that I don't know how to reference the value in the table.

Search Form, Continue To Browse

Aug 3, 2007

I adapted the findform from the address book sample database. After the search is performed I would like it to be able to continue to browse (continue scrolling through) the rest of contacts rather than excluding everything but matches. More like a go to kind of search rather than a select query. I'm betting this is a simple fix (I hope), I just don't know what it would be. Any help?
