My problem is that i am using the "Withevents" to call the Ostrosoft Winsock network module and "Withevents" does not work in functions.
How to build this into a function ?

we have rows where we put the the address, the quantity and the time interval we can collect the packages in. these information have to be send to a trucking company. I want access to send an email to the trucking company's email address, and not a whole report of all the rows, but be able to choose to send row 1,2,3 etc.

I know how to open a table in database view using a command button. I'd like to have it open to or automatically scroll to and select a specific record, based on the content of the form. This way I don't have to spend time scrolling through the whole table to try and find the desired record.

There is only one record in this table tblfarmdetails.The second table tblorder is for orders and receipts - I currently have code that allows the user to send an order request by email to the manager, and to also send notice of receipt of goods through to the manager. I would like the code to get the email address from the unrelated table.Can I reference this field in the vba?

70-80 different projects in one table. This table has Due Date for the project in itlAll of the days between milestones are static. A generated email that emails the parties who are late or their milestone is upcoming. This works well enough, however, FIELDS 11 through to 16 contain the venue address. This is all we ll and good if every field of the venue address is populated. here are times when not all of the fields are populated, for instance, the address might only be 5 lines.I know I can do this using IIf statements on a report, but how can i achieve the same thing for the email.

Jul 8, 2015how to read a specific line in a CSV file (using VBA), to see if the phrase "There are no records available." is present.
If it is present, then I'm going to do a debug.print stating that there are no records to load - and then the script will move on to the next file. If the phrase isn't present, then I'm going to upload the file to Access, parse the information, and then upload it to a CRM. (I already have the latter portion of the code up and running....I just need to account for the first part, where I can determine if the file has data or not).
The structure of the file never changes. The first row is composed of eight column headers (Post Date, Card Number, Card Type, Auth Date, Batch Date, Reference Number, Reason, Amount) and (if) the phrase "There are no records available." is present, it will show up on the second row, in the first column (under Post Date).

May 29, 2014I need to extract a specific number of records into a table using a MakeTable or Append command using a temp variable, e.g. TempK&SA. Previously on the forum I was shown how code could be added to the OnOpen function to use a temp variable to select a specific number of records to report. ACCESS does not have the OnOpen function in the design view of a query like in the report. It does allow a SELECT TOP but only with fixed variables or percents (e.g. 25 in the code below).
The beginning code for the make table query (where 25 is the number of records added) is:

If I use the access email button it opens outlook but it sends all the records in the FORM to the person. I have tried even to use the micro, but still it attach all the records in the FORM and send it all as one bundle to other.

Jul 11, 2013I need some simple code that will copy an Excel file or a table in Access to a specific location on an FTP server. I would think this would be a very simple task, but I have yet to find any sample code that is *simple*. I have seen lots of code that requires downloading this dll or that mda, but the examples don't work. There must be something built into MS Access 2010 that will allow a file to be uploaded to an FTP site.
All the variables are known:
The FTP location (it never changes)
The FTP Username and Password (they never change)
The destination folder on the FTP site (it never changes)
The File type (it never changes)
The File name (available from the form in Access from which this will be executed)
I can either produce an output file, then copy it to the FTP site, or I can export the table directly to the FTP site with the file name for that day.
This seems to be a very simple task with no simple solution. Currently I am using an FTP app to get the file to the FTP site, but I would like to automate this. The process that creates the output file is already automated, so I would just like to add this to the existing code as its own module.
I'm looking for a simple command on the idea of:
DoCmd.FTPFile, acExel, TableName, FTPFilePath, FTPFileName, Username, Password, acUpload
just made all that above up and none of it is a real function/command in VBA, but is just the kind of thing I'm looking for.
I would think that since I can download and XML file from an FTP site that it should be child's play to upload a simple file to an FTP site, but I can't figure it out.
Tables :: How To Receive Data From Two Fields

Table 1, containing Purchases Orders (P1,P2,P3,.......)
Table 2, containing Local Purchases (L1,L2,L3,L4,.....)
Now i want to make a thrid table that contains a field for all purchases in table 1 & 2, (P1,P2,P3,L1,L2,L3,L4,.....), if i make a lookup wizard that will retrieve only from one table but i want to retrieve data from the two tables.
