Modules & VBA :: Save Input Into Array And Show This Information

I want to save input into an Array, and then show this information.To enter data I am using a textBox. After "Enter" it should save info into the Array.If textBox is empty, it should show information. I would like to use a textbox too, that shows all the Array after pressing Enter.

I have a button that when clicked moves a piece of data to a subform. I have put the whole sequence below. The trouble I am having is :
- The event will not happen until the form is saved. I think this is because fkTaskID is a new record (auto) number which hasn't generated yet. - If I force the form to save it does work but then I get an error on the INSERT command when not all required fields of the form are complete (see sample in second part below).
Is there a way to save the record and maintain the integrity of the form input - and still have this code work?

So I have this relatively simple problem: I need to create a button that once clicked will open the Save As dialog box and allow the user to save a copy of the current database where he wishes. The filename should contain todays date in DDMM format along with some pre-set text e.g. DDMM PresetText.
I have a few selected reports on an Access 2007 database that users can run. Is there a way for users to view the report, save as a PDF and automatically save a copy to a shared drive by modules/vba coding as an On Click event procedure?
I need saving 2 input fields into a table. Here is the situation
tableA studentID Name
tableB studentID Name Course Fee
I have a form with a drop down list, to select studentID from tableA. I selected a dropdown from studentID to display Name, and that I tied to txtName
I then type in txtCourse and txtFee whatever value I want, example:
txtCourse = English txtFee = 50.00
Now, I'm able to transfer studentID and Name from tableA and save to tableB, and delete the record I just selected in tableA.
The issue is, I can't save the txtCourse, txtFee as I don't know how.

I'm stuck on how to save txtCourse and txtFee into tableB where I have Course and Fee fields.
Hi. I have been asked to find out if it is possible to automatically insert info from a access database into some word documents that require the same info i.e. a title or reference number so that, for example, if the title is changed in the database it will automatically change in the associated word documents.
Is this even possible as I have no idea or can something similar be done?
I have a database of experimental products. The database allows test technicians to input test information as well as product information (obviously in separate tables). Therefore before a tech logs test information, they have to first make sure the test product is in the database. They can do this by looking up the products that are in the database, and if the current one isn't they can input its information. In the lookup section you can also click on an individual product and lookup its test history.
What I am looking to do is add a button in the product information screen that allows the tech to open the test information input form with the test product information already loaded into the form. The product information portion of the test input form, is two combo boxes, one indicates the test products group and the other is the product number.
Looking up information on Google looks like i might need to use the OpenArgs function, however I have never used that before.
I want to be able to have two text boxes on my form that firstly concatenate the values inputted and then saves this string to a field.
It's a "new record" form that generates a new record in table "tblUsers".
txtB1 & txtB2 and the text boxes would represent First Name and Last Name.
But it can't be allowed to be saved as the acctual names. - Insead I'm looking for a way to take the first two or three letters of the name and concatenate these into one string of text and save that string to the field tblUsers.ConcatenatedName.
I.E.txtB1:"Carl" txtB2:"Chapelle"
would generate "CarCha" and save that from the form to the field ConcatenatedName in tblUsers.
Btw, the values form txtB1 and txtB2 (Carl & Chapelle) cant be saved anywhere either!
Found the answer myself;
create a txtB3
And set that source to Left([txtB1];3) & " " & Left([txtB2];3)
The database I have created is to produce product description sheets. From the switchboard, the user clicks a button that opens a form on which they can enter about 5 bits of information , then select the product they wish to produce the product sheet for and when they click a button, the product sheet is produced. The product sheet is a report with a subreport. The information entered on the form is included with more information from the database on the main report and the subreport is based on a union query which combines information from 2 tables to list the items included in this product. (the information the user inputs into the form is information that changes depending on the situation and is not stored in the database.
Now comes the next step in this process. Just as the information input into the form is temporary information, there is also one bit of information that needs to be input on a temporary bases for the items that are listed on the subreport. Each of the items on this subreport needs an assignment of AAA or BBB that needs to appear in the subreport on the line with that particular item. There can be one item in an product, or there can be many and the listing of AAA or BBB can be different from one item to the next or they could all be the same. The assignment needs to be made on an item basis.
My thoughts on this were to have a subform appear once the user selects the product on the form which would list all of the items and allow them to select either AAA or BBB in a column on this form. Then when the click to open the report, those assignments would carry through to the report.I have been able to create a continuous form displaying all of the items based on the union query but that's as far as I can get. Not even sure if that is the way to go.
Is there a way to reference the AAA and BBB input on the subform I described so that it displays in the report.
I have a form with a list box that shows a number of reports that are ultimatly built from queries. Depending on what information I have put in, some of the reports will not show any information, which is fine. Is there a why that I can tell the report to open only if there is information present or maybe change the colour of the name of the report in the list box. This sounds a bit complicated but hopefully I have explained enough for someone to help, thanks in advance.
I am creating a new form and right now I only have 3 controls: Employee name, Employee ID, and Hire date.
How can I type in an Employee's Name and when I hit enter I get the info in the other boxes to show up?So what I am wanting is to be able to type in a name and hit enter and have all the other boxes populate in the form?
I have some code that successfully gathers some items and adds these items to a listbox, one item at a time using .AddItem.And it works ok.The problem is, when there are a bunch of items to add, everytime the .AddItem runs, the form redraws.there are a bunch and this leads to a lot of flicking while the form redraws however many times .AddItem adds an item.
I've had the idea of building an array and then assigning the array to the listbox.I can build the arrray no problem but i have not been able to assign the array to the listbox all at once.how to do is add items to the listbox from the array one specific item ListArray(i) at a time.
Obviously this would work, but gains me nothing in terms of the visual effect in the form becuase it is still adding to the listbox one item at a time.Is there some way to assign an array to a list box all at once, without doing it one item at a time?
How do I delete values in an array? I want to reuse that array but first I need to delete its values so I would start with Arr(0) rather than where I stopped off with the last loop at Arr(10) [assuming the last calculation inserted until Arr(9)]

I'm trying to store all the OrderNumber + Item combinations in 2 arrays and then because the OrderNumber column really contains 2 values I'm interested in, I split it up and store that column's values in 2 arrays. So in total, I have 3 arrays. An array for Item, an array for Order, and an array for RepId (which is the one that I split up from the OrderNumber column).
Anyways, when I print the RepId array with the ' MsgBox PostValCol1(x) ' It prints 4 values like it's supposed to. But when I tested it again by looping through the values and just doing a MsgBox, It goes for a long time and that's because it has a lot of empty values in that array. How to get rid of those empty values/not store them in the first place?

I have an Access Database that I will be using on a desktop. I have a table in this database that mirrors the structure of a table on a remote server in a SQL database. I have successfully created a vba function within the Access database that uses a server-side php subroutine to select records (I usually won't know how many) from the SQL database and return them to the access database. The code I use in the access vba subroutine to access the php subroutine is:

The last command in my php subroutine is "return $retrievedData." $retrievedData is a multidimensional array containing data from 42 fields in multiple records (again, I usually won't know how many). I've checked the data in php so I know it has been stored correctly.how do I access the returned data within my access vba subroutine?
I should add that my overall reason for doing it this way is that I want to maintain my server-side database as an untouched master. Users can only add data to it. My client-side database is used to update the input table and further process the data. The subroutines described above are intended to retrieve "new" records only (i.e., records posted since the last access database update) from the server-side database and transfer them to the access database for further processing.
I created a vehicle database that includes a sevice subform to track service history. The main form is bound to the vehicle table that tracks the vehicles we have. (Vehicle_ID). The service history has its own table that stores its history and is link to the vehicles table. I created a report that shows my vehicle and its last history item. When i click on it, it will bring up the vehicle form where you can add information. Is there a way to create the form, so when i enter the latest information and i click on it, it will bring up my main form, and in my subform svc history, display the lastest information.
My idea is to have a field in my table that have ratings for example - 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. How can i make one star.jpg image to appear when I've entered rating 1, two stars to appear when I've entered rating 2, 3 stars for rating 3 and etc.... Is that even possible? If it isn't is there any other way i can make this?
I have created a query with the parameter for the Domain field. however on the form the user enters this information via a drop down menu. i was just wondering could the parameter box be set to a drop down box as well to save the user entering in the full Domain field name?
I have a boolean array, foundState(3), whose 4 elements correspond to 4 variables describing conditions that will dictate what action is taken upon closing a form.
There are only 6 possible outcomes for the array, and they can be divided into just 4 cases:
Case {T,T,T,T}
Case {T,T,T,F} OR {T,T,F,F} OR {T,T,F,T}
Case {T,F,F,F}
Case {F,F,F,F}
What the proper syntax would be for this if I'm trying to create a "Select Case" statement for these 4 cases.
how I can make an Array and For Each statement work together. I normally don't use either, but it would be good so I could write less code where plausible. Here is the example I have:

I am unsure how I include the array in this statement. I have tried replacing "Me.Controls" with the array name, but I get a 424 runtime error (no object). What I am trying to accomplish is for each item in the array I want to make it not visible if it has a null value.
I have to deal with string arrays that store text. I need info on copying, comparing, appending arrays. Also on passing arrays as parameters to subs or functions. Where I can get to this info quickly without having to browse through many screens.
In addition to this I have some questions:
I have to find the duplicates of values in an array. Here is the code that I use.
