Modules & VBA :: Send Individual Pdf Attachment To Individual Recipients
Feb 3, 2014
I have created a database that generates a report with customer debts. I have a lot of customers and in a report each page is a different customer with individual debts info. What i would like to do is to create a button and distribute individual report page as pdf to individual customer by email. I'm using Lotus notes. I have searched the forums i found something but it was not what i was looking for.
I am trying to make an automation in order generate reports based on query ( person name, person email address ) , export them to a folder in PDF and then send them one by one to each person email address.
What is happening:
- the reports are generated and exported fine - the email are sent to the right addresses but the first person receives the correct report , the second person receives the report from the first person plus its own report and so on.
Here is my code :
Private Sub MakeReportSendEmail_Click() Dim MyDB As DAO.Database Dim MyRS As DAO.Recordset Dim strSQL As String Dim strRptName As String
I have a database where I record grades for my students. I would like to create a macro so that every time I record a grade as an "F", the student will receive an email that will contain an attachment of their scores. A lot of the information I want to include in this email is in several different tables. So to make it easier, I have created a query that lists the following:
Students name (SName) Student's email (SEmail) ID# of the form I use to record their grades (ID) ID# of the studen'ts work (WorkID) Date of their work (CreatedDate) Date I graded their work (AuditDate) Grade="F" (Accuracy)
How can I create something that will automate emailing of this information--to the individual student with only their information? I am using Access 2010. If I can't automatically send the emails, I would like to create a button in my audit screen that will send a report containing that student's information to them.
I have a requirement to send a email to individual clients via my access database 2003 . I am using the email address of the client in the current open form . I then created a query using the id to filter that particular client, this query then becomes my record set.The content for the email is held in a .txt file , On my c drive . Every things appears fine however the fonts that I select in the .txt file are not being use in the actual email body. I created a word document with my preferred fonts and copied and pasted them into the .txt file but on sending the email the selected fonts do not appear.
I have attached a demo of what I am trying to do . To test enter your own email in the email address field of the form . Note the .txt file is on the C:/ drive.
I am working on an Access DB and I need to email individual reports to email addresses linked to the corresponding email. I would like these email to be sent though outlook and the attachment to be a PDF.
I currently have a code set up which sends an attachment from a drive on my computer to all the email addresses in a certain query. I would like to change the code so that I can add a button that will allow me to send an email with a specific attachment depending on their individual code in a table, e.g each person will receive a specific attachment. At the moment, the attachments are saved with the same file name as the person's specific code. The code I am currently using is:
Private Sub Command9_Click() Dim MyDb As DAO.Database Dim rsEmail As DAO.Recordset Dim qdf As DAO.QueryDef Dim prm As DAO.Parameter Dim strEmail As String Dim strMsg As String Dim oLook As Object
I am trying to send emails using CDO to an array of recipients loaded from a query. I have made this work using Lotus Notes so i know the first part of my code is correct, and the current code I have works when I input an actual email address. But when I try to add the Array name into the 'To' field I get a data mismatch error.
What i would like to do is replace the DoCmd.OutputTo line with a DoCmd.SentTo line to email the reports to the appropriate faculty instead of just saving them in the folder.
I used this line but it did not work: DoCmd.SendObject (acSendReport, , acFormatPDF, "vtblfaculty.email&'@xxx.edu'","me@xxx.edu",,"test ","this is a test",-1,,)I have been working on this forever!
Public Sub something3() Dim db As Database Dim rs As DAO.Recordset Set db = CurrentDb Set rs = db.OpenRecordset("SELECT DISTINCT tblsection.Faculty, left(vtblfaculty.firstname,1)&vtblfaculty.lastname AS fn, vtblfaculty.email FROM vtblfaculty INNER JOIN tblsection ON tblsection.faculty=vtblfaculty.faculty WHERE term=" & Forms!frmimport!cbxTerm)
I am looking to perform a mail merge from access to Publisher. I have linked everything together and got everything looking the way that I want it to look however...
What I want to do is when I perform the mail merge I would like publisher to save a copy of each individual record from the database as a specific file based on one field of the mail merge.
I will try to clarify...
One of the mail merge fields is ClientAccountNumber I would like the merge to save a copy of the publisher file into c:mailmerge as a PDF including the year 2014.
So this file(s)for example would look like C:mailmerge123456 - 2014.pdf C:mailmerge123457 - 2014.pdf etc...
Code: Sub MailMerge() ' ' Macro1 Macro Dim TempDocCreate Dim FileNameTemp As MailMergeDataField Set FileNameTemp = Application.ActiveDocument.MailMerge.DataSource.DataFields.Item("Box 22 Rcp Acct No") With ActiveDocument.MailMerge.DataSource Application.ActiveDocument.ExportAsFixedFormat pbFixedFormatTypePDF, Filename:= _ "L:Operations DatabaseProjects1042PublisherPDF2011 Merge" & "FileNameTemp" & " - 2011" & ".pdf" End With
I have a database with two tables. One with a schedule that lists all of the events with the person assigned to, with there start date and end date in separate columns.
My second table lists a persons leave. So I have there name and the start and end date of their leave in separate columns.
Is there a form/query I can create using VBA that will allow me to filter out all the criteria that has the same name and then a date that conflicts between the event date and the leave date.
for example,
If Name(in table 1 ) = Name (in table 2)
(if false stop)
AND,
If StartDate (from table 1) and EndDate (from table1) conflicts with StartDate (from table 2)and EndDate (from Table 2)
(if false stop)
If true I want either the query to register it OR have a form appear to show the conflicting entries.
I have a class roster and need vba code to print a first day package of forms. I want them to print each person's package then move on to the next person until the roster has printed each person's package.
I have a series of 7 separate Access 2010 programs that are designed to run under the control of a scheduler, and they must always finish. Errors are trapped and logged but mustn't stop the processes completing.
What I'm trying to do now is to create a single master control program that runs each individual application, one after the other, in order. And each individual app cannot start until the previous one is finished.how to call a separate Access program and know when it has finished.
I have a button when pressed that it sends an email from lotus notes and inputs relevant text etc, however I seem to be struggling on how to have an attachment sent with the email. So everytime the button is pressed it will attach a word document.
I have some code that attaches any files that are in my attachment field on the current record in to a email this is great but I m starting to realise that this is take up way to much space as it hold a copy in the database and can t afford to go down the sql sever route so what I have done is added some new fields called path1, path2 ,path3 ,path4 and path5 now the user can add the files location to these text box instead of add them via the attachment field also I can now limit number attachments to each record
Code: Private Sub cmdEmail2_Click() Dim appOutLook As Outlook.Application Dim MailOutLook As Outlook.MailItem Dim OutlookAttach As Outlook.Attachment Set appOutLook = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
[Code] ....
Some how I need to change this so it checks fields path1 path2 path3 path4 path5 on the current record and see if anything is entered in these textbox's and follow the paths and attach the files to email
How to make command button . How to add a file path to a text box
1. add new field to your table e.g "path1" 2. add the new field to your form 3 create new command button call it addpath 4 add code below to click on event
Code: Private Sub addpath_Click() Dim fDialog As Office.FileDialog Dim varFile As Variant ' Clear listbox contents. ' Me.Path1.Value = "" ' Set up the File Dialog. '
[Code] ....
This will now save file location path to the path1 text box. To open file path
1.add another command button call it "pathopen" 2. add code below on click event
Code: Private Sub pathopen_Click() Application.FollowHyperlink Me.Path1 End Sub
What I'm try to do is attach any files from the attachment field from the current open record to email i have some code i have manage to get files from the open record to save to destination /temp folder to work so outlook can attach the files but outlook is not opening or putting them in to email also have problem's that i have highlighted in the code in red.
Code: Private Sub cmdEmail2_Click() Dim outlookApp As Outlook.Application Dim outlookNamespace As NameSpace Dim objMailItem As MailItem Dim objFolder As MAPIFolder Dim strAttachementPath As String
Okay, my first problem is solved...Access now stops me from entering a phone number that is already entered...so I'm a happy camper...thanks again to those who helped :)
now I have my next problem, I have 8 columns, each column has phone numbers and I've separated them into what the first digit of the phone number starts with...so columns 2 to 9...
now I'd like to sort each individual column so that it puts the phone numbers in numerical order...the only option I find for sort sorts all 9 columns as if they were one column and then everything is out of whack and mixed together...sorting like that works fine in excel...what's the trick to get Access to do the same thing?? Thanks a bunch :) Rosey
I have a continuous form based on a query. I would like to have a button or control that performs some command on only one certain record. In other words, the user sees the record he wants, clicks a button and it changes the value or changes the color. When I add a button to the form, it appears next to each record and performs the same command to each record. I have tried different controls, but get similar results with each one. Even a single form seems to do the same thing, but on different pages.
Am I missing something? Or maybe I am not following the concept of the form.
In a form I have a button which creates (in preview) an outlook message with a pdf report. It opens and displays just as I want it to, but if I chose to save that message in outlook and either send or cancel (i.e. allowing user to save to drafts and send later) then MS Access crashes. To ensure this wasn't to do with any compile / corruption within my full application I mirrored the process in a very simple 1 table / 1 form / 1 report db and still the same - access crashes after saving the outlook message and either sending the message or cancelling out the message.
Form code is as follows;Private Sub Command0_Click() On Error Resume Next DoCmd.SendObject acSendReport, "Table1", acFormatPDF, "someemaddress", , , , "REQUEST FOR INFORMATION" DoEvents On Error GoTo 0 End Sub
In my main application this process is embedded within a loop to send various filters of the report to different recipients, which works fine if 'save' is not used within Outlook..
I'm sure this is here somewhere but I just can't find it.
I have a form where a selection of suppliers are selected, I then want to email each supplier a report attachment - headed up with their particular details - for them to complete and return.
I can use the SendObject to send one email with all reports attached, how do I split it up? Can I split it up?
Hi I'm a teacher and have to set targets for classes, I have created a database which allows me to input targets for the classes. I now need to then display the class target for individual pupils in a new layout. I am sure there is an easy solution and I am looking at the problem from the wrong direction. Thank you for any help
Man I thought this would be simple, but it quite clearly isn't!
I have a .csv file that contains around 250 email addresses. I simply want to import these into an Access table, each email creating a new record!
NO using the import function only seems to allow you to import data as long as each separate piece of data is on field in a record! I understand whent this might be the case, but why the hell can I not import it so each piece of data is a separate record in the table!!!!!!!!!!!
Please note I understand some sort of complex query may do it, but I am not that experienced with that yet and so don't know how it's done!
Please can anyone offer a simple solution? From where I am sitting, there does not appear to be one!!!!
Hello Everyone,I am trying to perform a sum of records for the table belowSeatType| Ext rent | |Internal rent | Work Transfer 2 2VendorOther 2 3LOB BRF GTI BRF 2 5Displacement so that when I run the query I get the following followingSeatType| Ext rent| |Internal rent| | Total |Work Transfer 2 2 4VendorOther 2 3 5LOB BRF GTI BRF 2 5 7Displaceme What I mean is that from the first table how is it possible to get the results below. The query would generate a new column and place the sum of the data in the each row(record) in the same row in the total column. I would be really grateful. Have been bashing my head all day over this. PS I dont know any VBA. Is it possible without VBA?Thank you.
Situation: I have a bunch of individual databases (approx 70) - each holding one table called "Meter" with some GPS reads and additional information about the GPS point.
Am looking for solution to create one big database file holding all GPS reads.
One idea i have is linking all tables into a new database and run a create table query and then an append query.
Is there a way to somehow have the one append query run automatically on all existing linked tables (remember approx 70 tables so i really want to avoid of creating 70 append queries ;) )
To make it more complicated: data sets in the original individual databases could be modified or new data could be added. From what I know linked tables are updated but is there a way of keeping the my big, newly created (appended) database up2date automatically as well?
Hope it all makes sense? Thanks a lot in advance Regards from Ireland
