Modules & VBA :: Sending Email With Access 2007

Mar 12, 2014

How would I set up an Outlook email using a list of recipients from an Access table? I'd like to be able to run this from Access 2007 and not Outlook. However, once the email is set up, I'd like to be able to go into the email and add subject, body, etc. before sending the email.

Modules & VBA :: Sending Email From MS Access 2010

Oct 1, 2013

I would like to update the following code I have been using to send emails, from Access 2010 via Outlook 2010, to include my signature block with hard returns in between each line and a few above the signature.

Lets say the signature would be:
My Name
My Company Name
My phone number
My Reference

I tried next to: stMessage = Me![EmailMessage] &"My Name" & Chr(10) & Chr(13) & "My Company Name"

etc.

It does not work..

Here is the coding :

Code:
Private Sub SendEmail_Click()
On Error GoTo ProcErr
Dim stLinkCriteria As String

Modules & VBA :: Selecting Recipients From A Table For Sending Emails? Access 2007

Jul 19, 2013

In an Access 2007 module, is there a way of sending an email to a list of people stored as a list in a table in the database, rather than having to put all the names into the function?

I have a function I'm using to generate and send out an email to certain people, but the list is constantly growing so I'm looking for a better way to manage it! The main issue is having to kick users out of the database every time I need to update the recipients list... because it's stored in the code.

If I create a simple table containing all the names, how could I then ask it to use that instead?

This is the function I'm using currently - found on here and adapted to my own purposes

Syntax to use for the function: SendNotesMail "recipients", "Body Message", "Additional Text", "Subject"

Code:
Public Function SendNotesMail(strSendTo As String, strBody As String, strExtraText As String, strSubject As String)
'This public sub will send a mail and attachment if neccessary to the recipient including the body text and additional comments from the Active record
DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputReport, "REP09emailnotification", acFormatRTF, "x: endersgroup tendering databaseTenderUpdate.rtf", False
Dim Subject As String
Dim Attachment As String

[Code] ....

So I guess my question is: how do I get my recipients from a table into the strsendto?

Modules & VBA :: Specifying Email Address When Sending Email Via SMTP

I am currently using vb code to send an email in Access on the click of a button. I want the database user to be able to enter the recipient in a text box [ToEmail] which is on form [GroupStockProfiler]. However, I'm unsure how to put this into my code. I currently have the following which doesn't work (unless I put a specific email after 'To'):

Const cdoSendUsingPort = 2

Modules & VBA :: Using Array To Specify Email Recipients (Access 2007 - Lotus Notes)

Aug 7, 2013

I've got a form which emails out a report when a new record is added to my database but I'm stuck when it comes to making it send it to more than one recipient.

I came across this on the web... which suggests I should be using an array but I don't know anything about arrays.

For multiple email addresses you just set MailDoc.sendto to an array of variants each of which will receive the message. So

Code:

Dim recip(25) as variant
recip(0) = "emailaddress1"
recip(1) = "emailaddress2" e.t.c

maildoc.sendto = recip

My problem is I'm not sure how to implement it? My 'recipients' are being pulled from a query... how do I get that into the array of variants?

Modules & VBA :: Replace Function In Access 2007 For HTML Email In Outlook 2010

Aug 4, 2014

My company recently upgraded our MS Office from 2007 to 2010 (except for Access).

Previously, when I had Access 2007 and Outlook 2007, I had a process that generated 50+ dynamic emails from an Outlook template file (.oft).

The code would loop through a listbox and replace the template's default text to a string of text specific to the selection in the listbox by utilizing the Replace() function on the MailItem .HTMLBody.

Since the upgrade to Outlook 2010, the code is able to run, however, the Replace() function is no longer working; Instead, each email that is generated maintains the template's default text.

The only thing that is not working is the Replace() function, all other aspects of the code work fine.

I've provided a simplified version of the code below:

Dim myOlApp As Outlook.Application
Dim objMailMessage As MailItem
Dim stBody As String
Set myOlApp = Outlook.Application
Set objMailMessage = myOlApp.CreateItemFromTemplate("C:UsersDesktop emplate.oft")

[Code] .....

I've recreated the template file in Outlook 2010, thinking that the template created with Outlook 2007 would be the culprit, but to no avail.

What could have changed from Outlook 2007 to Outlook 2010 that would render my previously valid code ineffective?

Are there certain references I need to enable in both Access and Outlook to allow VBA in Access modify the content in an Outlook email?

Modules & VBA :: Sending A Report From 2007 Via Lotus Notes

Jul 24, 2013

I have a function which generates a report as a RTF file, then sends it out to a list of users via Lotus Notes. The list of users is generated within the function using a query. The code worked fine while I was testing with just me in the recipients... but as soon as I add more people to the list, I get Runtime error 7294: Unable to send mail, no match found in name and address book(s) If I copy and paste the generated list into a new mail message in Lotus Notes, it accepts them all....

I THINK this is because when it's sending from Access, it's trying to use my personal address book, rather than the one that's held on the mail server... Does that sound plausible / feasible? If it does, how to change this?

I tried changing the recipients list to have the 'actual' email addresses in it rather than their names - when I did that I got no errors... but it didn't send the email, either!

Modules & VBA :: Sending Email With Or Without Attachments

Jan 12, 2015

I'm working on a database for work that email's the current record after the form is completed. I have a attachment field in the table called Photo and some record's have a photo attached and other's don't. The code below works great with records that have a photo attached, but I get a path not found if I try to email a record that does not have a photo. I know that I need to put some form of code to check the photo field for a attachment, but I'm having a brain fade as to just what the code is.

Code:
Private Sub eMail_Report_Click()
Dim oFilesys, oTxtStream As Object
Dim txtHTML As String
Dim appOutLook As Outlook.Application
Dim MailOutLook As Outlook.MailItem

Modules & VBA :: Replying (but Not Sending) Email Saved On HD?

Apr 24, 2015

I have code that allows me to drag and drop an email to an access field, which then stores that email on the local / network folder. Another field with that email's file path is also displayed.

My big question is: knowing the email's file path, how can I have the system open those (network/folder) saved emails as a reply (not automatic send)?

I envision this as being triggered by a _Change event; if a drop-down changes or is selected, then the system reads the location in the 'Email Location' field, and opens the reply to that email.

Also, if there is an alternate way to have an Excel spreadsheet embedded into an Access form, i'm open to change. The user wants to be able to see the Excel spreadsheet and send it to their supervisor without having to locate the Excel spreadsheet on the hard drive.

I need to send, for each row in the query, this report based on the results of that particular row. How would I go about making a e-mail template that would be used, or at least sending the report as a PDF attachment? I've seen the sendObject method.

Sending And Recieving Email Through Access

Aug 11, 2005

Is there a way to send an email using outlook, have that email filtered into a specific folder, and then have an access program extract that email. The situation is that I have sales reps in the field that would like updates on projects that are stored in an access program I designed. The program already sends out auto notifications through outlook, but that is only when I update the specific project. All of the sales reps in the field use blackberry's and do not have time to call in to request an update. So I was wondering if it were possible to have a sales rep send a preformated email that has included the primary key ie Account number, and have access recieve that account number to turn around and send out an auto response.

Sending Email Containing A Link To Access?

Aug 6, 2014

I have a system automated that, when our warranty team receives a warranty part that somebody else has requested information for, will email that person letting them know it has been received.

I want to include a hyperlink in the email that points to the database, opens it with 2 argument containing 2 variables in which one of the forms can auto populate and the information be shown immediately.

So first, I would like to know how to create a hyperlink within the code that sends the email. Second, I would like to know how have the database check for arguments upon opening. I can do the rest.

For instance, John Smith requested part number 123456 on claim number 55555, serial number 7777777. The database is located at "S:SharedWarranty ReturnsWarranty Returns.accdb". Therefore, the hyperlink would aim at the location and carry the arguments 55555 and 7777777.

Current emailing code (obviously variables are passed into the function):

Code:

Function sendemail(msg As String, subj As String, recipients As String, ccrecipients As String, xclaim As Integer, claims() As Variant, serials() As Variant)Dim rsnote As Recordset
Set cdomsg = CreateObject("CDO.message")
If recipients <> "" Then
With cdomsg.Configuration.Fields
