I need it to send just the records belonging to the customer, they shouldnt be able to see anyone elses.how to send the dates that belong only to each customer?
Im using the sendobject macro to email a report when the database is opened, yet when it does, the email is only in my outbox, doesnt seem to be sent to other users!!! Can anyone tell me what is going on or how to get around this??
I have been working on a database which is going to integrate a client database with any emails they send to me. The idea is that I will create a sub form as part of the contact information section which will show any emails that have been sent from that contact. I have a field which has the email address in the contact section and I want to link the contact to the sub form by the 'email address' and the 'from' field in the link outlook folder.
This all works great except that access links to the outlook folder and in the 'from' field, it shows the display name instead of the email address it was sent from. Is there anyway to tell it to extract the email address itself instead of the display name, or is there another way of achieving this same thing?
I try to use collection of a ADODB.recordset eg rsTarget,Essentially I want to assign the fields (columns) in this rsTarget with respective data. I tried to use of
two sets. (fld as adodb.field) Set fld = rsTarget.Fields.Item(count) Set fld = rsTarget.Fields.Item(Column(count))
Then I try to use following to assign RsTarget!fld.name = Data1
It failed stating that there is no fld.name. Using column set, it state that there is no column function. How to do it right?
I am attempting to use 2 fields from a query to supply the Top and Left Properties of a Collection of Rectangle Controls on my form. The purpose of this is to display the locations on a map of "Spots" in a haunted house. The query that I am using shows the spots that have been pre-tagged with the location of where they belong on the map (currently the query has only 24 tagged spots). On the actual form I have rectangle controls (control type acRectangle) with their visible property set to False by default, named box1 through box25 (there will be more eventually, as I am just working with this test group).
I started with the following code, yet it stops after (correctly) placing the first spot on the map (please see the attached jpg):
Code: Private Sub Form_Open(Cancel As Integer) Dim ctl As Control Dim db As DAO.Database Dim rst As DAO.Recordset
[Code]....
I'm sure I need to have 'Loop' in there somewhere, but I am not sure exactly where to place it, or if another line is also needed.
This is my first time posting, so hopefully I get this right... My question is this...I am currently working on a subform that pulls information from a main form through a main table in order to properly parce a set amount of time for technicians working on the same task. At the same time, I am also trying to figure out how to present this info in the subform without duplicating the first line.
I apologize for sounding so redundant. Please let me know if you need further clarifications.
How would I set up an Outlook email using a list of recipients from an Access table? I'd like to be able to run this from Access 2007 and not Outlook. However, once the email is set up, I'd like to be able to go into the email and add subject, body, etc. before sending the email.
I would like to update the following code I have been using to send emails, from Access 2010 via Outlook 2010, to include my signature block with hard returns in between each line and a few above the signature.
Lets say the signature would be: My Name My Company Name My phone number My Reference
I tried next to: stMessage = Me![EmailMessage] &"My Name" & Chr(10) & Chr(13) & "My Company Name"
etc.
It does not work..
Here is the coding :
Code: Private Sub SendEmail_Click() On Error GoTo ProcErr Dim stLinkCriteria As String
I really need to find a way to run a bit of code which exports a Access query to excel and automatically saves the workbook.
However it is not quite so straightforward - I need the code to create different workbooks based on the contents of a field within the query which will be duplicated (it is actually a school name and several hundred pupils will be attached to a school) and use this field (schoolname) as the excel filename.
It needs to be at a click of button - the code runs creates loads of different workbooks and then says done!!!
I have a form which on selecting a command button sends out an email to a manager to say a specification is ready to be reviewed (this contains a link to a sharepoint site where the spec resides). The "approval" details are stored in by DB also so I would like to have included in that email a link back to the access db and the particular record so the person receiving the email can easily approve, if that makes sense.
Here is my code for generating the email (at the point "To approve please click here" is where I would like my link to go):
[i][i] Set OutApp = CreateObject("Outlook.Application") Set OutMail = OutApp.CreateItem(0) strbody = "<font size=""3"" face=""Calibri"">" & _
- I have emails with excel attachments coming in multiple times a day to outlook.
- I want to click a button in Access and automatically import the last excel attachment in my email in box based on the timestamp of when it came in (thus getting the last one).
I found a code that will go trough an emailbox and export all emails to a table in access. This part is working OK (except the received date). I also wante to show in the table if the email contains an attachment, but that part is not working at all. The project actually is meant to store the emails on a shared drive and attachments and have the emails in Access so I can see them all and recall the one needed.
Code: Private Sub Command14_Click() Dim TempRst As DAO.Recordset Dim rst As DAO.Recordset
I have code that automatically send emails out from an Access Customer Contacts Database. I am using Access and Outlook 2007 but the code needs to work with later versions of Access and Outlook.
I have very poor knowledge of coding and usually manage to cobble something together from looking at other code on the net but don't understand most of it.
I have the following code which works perfectly except I want to be able to embed an image in the email body (not have the image as an attachment but actually show it in the body of the email).
Most of the code I have found around this topic is too complex for me to understand and utilise within the context of the code I have.
Ideally I want to take the image from an attachment field in a table returned by the "tblMailingList_Query".
Code: Private Sub Command10_Click() Dim MyDB As Database Dim MyRS As Recordset Dim objOutlook As Outlook.Application Dim objOutlookMsg As Outlook.MailItem
I have a question about sending secure emails by VBA code in MS-Access. I have a Access application within you also can also send emails by VBA code using outlook. Everything works fine, but now the recipient wants to receive the mails with a digital signature by S/MIME.
I got a digital certificate from the recipient as a pfx-file.
In my Access app, I need to be able to retrieve a specific email by date/time, then take the Subject, the Date received and body of that email and save it to a column in a table.how to do this in Access VBA?
I have created an action log database that sends an email when a new action is entered. I would like to launch the database using a hyperlink in the email, but can't seem to get it to work. All users have a copy of the front end on their desktop, so whatever I add to the email needs to launch the front end for any user signed on to their own desktop.
This is what I have and it sends a hyperlink but I click it, I get an error saying it can't find the file. I don't know how to word the path name for any user?
With obMsg .subject = "New action request for " & team .To = people
I have a subroutine that works well for sending emails. A need has arisen to, in some cases, send an Access report as a PDF attachment. I know how to do this using the SendObject method, but that won't work in this app. I also don't want to have to first save the report as a pdf file. I think I'm close, but I don't know the syntax for passing the report name as the Source parameter in the Attachments.Add method.
Code: If strEmailAddress = "jsmith" Then .Attachments.Add source:=MyReportName, type:=acFormatPDF End If On Error GoTo SendErr .Send On Error GoTo 0
Currently have an Access db filled with different departmental information. Trying to build a workflow mechanism that will validate the status of a certain "Event".
70-80 different projects in one table. This table has Due Date for the project in itlAll of the days between milestones are static. There are 18 different Milestones covered by 6 departments.Table built to hold status of project. which includes notes for every milestone and date completed. 37 fields (date and memo field each with id number to relate back to project table
A generated email that emails the parties who are late or their milestone is upcoming. (can do this already, but see the other requirement)When users receive email they need to reply in the email that was sent to them the date and what the result of what they did in the email. Users will be using mobile devices, laptops and desktops to respond.Could use Collect Data feature, but it is not easily manipulated with vb. Also, it will not all information to be edited in a query.
I'm using an unbound text box and a command button to filter a list of contacts on a continuous form. The continuous form has a query for the record source and the list ends up showing only what is in the strWhere filter
Me.Filter = strWhere Me.FilterOn = True
Is there a way to have Access 2003 take this filtered list and populate the To: field in Outlook or whatever the default mail client is? Each email needs to be deliminated by ";"
I've got a form which emails out a report when a new record is added to my database but I'm stuck when it comes to making it send it to more than one recipient.
I came across this on the web... which suggests I should be using an array but I don't know anything about arrays.
For multiple email addresses you just set MailDoc.sendto to an array of variants each of which will receive the message. So
Code:
Dim recip(25) as variant recip(0) = "emailaddress1" recip(1) = "emailaddress2" e.t.c
maildoc.sendto = recip
My problem is I'm not sure how to implement it? My 'recipients' are being pulled from a query... how do I get that into the array of variants?
I know Access can setup an Outlook Task to auto-export query to Excel, but it requires the Outlook to be always open on the user's computer.
Is there an easy way to setup a schedule that can automatically export a query to Excel and this schedule will then auto-email the exported Excel file to an email address every Monday at 5AM for example?
If this can only be done in VBA, any reference I may start with?
I have Access 2013, Win 7, Outlook 2010 (32-bit).I want to send an email from Access, but not through Outlook. Instead I want to connect to an external SMTP server. I've found a few examples that doesn't work for me. With code including for example
Code: Set ObjMessage = CreateObject("CDO.Message")
I get an "Error 429: Object can't be created in Active X-component" (My translation from Swedish). With code including this:
Code: Dim oEMail As New CDONTS.EMail
I get "user defined type has not been defined" (my translation again).I have working code for sending email through Outlook, which works fine. But, Outlook adds a lot of span tags, making it impossible to read for certain screen readers used by visually impaired people, therefore I can't use Outlook.
I've tried to read up on the matter (CDO), and think that maybe the CDO library etc is not included on my computer?can I download it?
