So I have a form which is showing the current record and you can scroll through these and make modifications to them from the form as opposed to using a table.
The form has the following fields populated from the main table
Customer name (Can appear more than once)
Status
Date
Servers
Positions
In addition it has several buttons for next record, previous record, first & last record, new record, delete record and update record.On this form i have a text box that i want to be able to use to search for a record using the customer name when you press the search button associated with it. I've got some code and it is mostly working but it seems to be moving the text entry cursor to the date box of the record for some reason.
What I want it to do is take the text from the search box and find it and move the form to that record.

i want to be able to create an On Click Event when pushing a command button that will run an Update query to update a record and after it has been updated that specific record will pop up on a Form and be displayed. i know a different way is to run the Update query and then have it displayed in a Select query but i want it to be displayed on a Form instead. is it possible?
I'm changing a record source on a form when the user clicks a "save" button.
I'm doing this to store a value from the current form in a table that is not part of the default form query.
This works fine.
I have a separate button on my form called "Home", when the user clicks this button it requerys the current form which triggers the before update event to run, this in turn brings up a message box which asks the user if they want to save or not. If they click yes then it runs the SaveButton click() code.
For some reason when the user presses the save button and then exits, everything works but if a user presses the “home” button which triggers the save button then it brings up the “2107 The Value you entered doesn’t meet the validation rule defined for the field or control.” Runtime error and stops on the change recordsource command.
Why triggering the same code directly from a button or indirectly from a before update event has two different outcomes.
In the initial Form_Open code there is a string that fails before the form is open, preventing me from opening the form and accessing the VBA code to correct the problem.How can I access the VBA code to correct the problem if it otherwise prevents me from opening the form so I can access the VBA code?
I have a form based on a query and have written code to display a msgbox if a duplicate entry is inputted in the NHS_Number field in the form. I have also added code "me.undo" to clear the form so that it is not saved. I am looking for a piece of code that will display the duplicate record. Here is my code thus far:

For whatever reason, this code will move to the last record that was entered in YESTERDAY, but I want it to move to the last record that was entered in TODAY. If I change the code to only records that are dated today, it claims there are no records (EOF), when there clearly are. why the code will not move to the last record of the table, it is only moving to the last record that was entered yesterday.
Is it possible to have the control tip show related records from another table?
I've been looking around the internet, and I've seen many examples for showing concatenated fields on current record, but had no luck with what I'm trying to do.
For example.
I have a continuous form, and on it shows top line data. Where a record in this form shows as "Split" it means I have more data related to this record on another table.
Is it possible to show however many fields are related to this record, when I control tip, or mouseover?

I was creating a program using ms access. consist of 2 table of database called employee and userlevel.. in employee table have ID, name, username, password,userlevel, and others related employee profile.. and in userlevel table, it consist of admin level and normal user level.. I have a form that when a user fills out the information and select a submit button. It brings up that record in reports in print preview for them to print. The issue i am having when the user enter the information, the report does not show any data until i refresh it. I tried include me.refresh,etc. No luck. I attached the code to make things simpler.

The reports comes up, but i have to manually refresh it to show the data that was enter.
I have a form and I want show a message on the form when the it is locked as another user is editing the data in a particular record.
I know the record selectors show the records lock status but it a very tiny symbol which will mean nothing to the users of the database and anyway I don't want record selector bar on the form. How I would do this???

i have being requested to create a from that displays the number of files in different folders. I can accomplish this somewhat with the code below. In the example below it is only showing the code for the first 3 folders. I have 7 folders in total to count.
1.Each week the location of the data will change. In the example below it is showing 2014-W03, the following week it will be 2014-W04 etc. etc. I was thinking of having an input box in the form that the user type the date into, to trigger the code, but how would I go about changing the code to include this variable?
2.I need to repeat this code for 9 other products, so my form will be displaying data for 10 products in total. I know I could copy this code 9 times and modify it accordingly, but is it possible to loop it in some way?

On a form I have a listbox that allows me to navigate around my records. The listbox is filtered and I get the redords that I waqnt from the table.My problem is that when I open the form the record that is showing is one from the table but not one that is in my listbox. I want it to show the first record in the listbox...This is the command I have on open:

I created a form for data entry only where records could be continually added until you were done and closed the form. Into that form I dropped a query that kept a running list in datasheet form of all the new records entered while the form was open, and then cleared when the form was closed (so the query was empty when the form was opened again).
My Problem: I accidentally deleted that query.
What I need:
-Query to be empty when form is opened. -Records added while form is open get displayed in the query after record is saved.
I'm working with a form someone else created and am adding a delete button. I've managed to add the button and get some code working which will delete a record from a table. The problem I'm having is that after the delete operation occurs all fields in the form, and the corresponding items below the form, show #Deleted in all fields. How can I force a refresh using code?
Hello everyone, I have a query that runs from the main form when the command button is clicked. It displays the results in datasheet view. I want the user to double click a specific record and jump to that specific record in the main form. How do I do this? Sorry, if this is a dumb question. I have a combo box that contains a list of values, but users can add their own if they choose. If the value they type in isn't on the list, the Not In List event fires. Once the procedure is done, the form inexplicably closes.
Oddly enough, it only closes under certain circumstances - the code provides several different options for saving the new data, and if I choose different options, the form works as its designed.
Further, if I insert a breakpoint anywhere in the code, then hit F5 to let the code run, the form works fine. Literally, the breakpoint can be anywhere in the procedure from the first line (On Err...) to the last line in the Exit block, "Exit Sub".

I've got a hopefully an easy question - how to create a form filter? I've got a form with a subform. Form is showing all records from a table, but some records on the subform are blank. I want to create a filter which will eliminate any record from the form where there is nothing to show in the subform.
The situation is i have two forms, looking at the same table, but the main table shows more records, I would like to select a record in the datasheet subform and have the main form flick through to the corresponding record.
