I have a continuous form, with data entry fields in both the form header and the detail section.
I've attached an "On Exit" event to the ProdQty field in the detail section. The prime function of the event code is to run an update query on the table (which is the data source for the form).
The code executes properly (update query runs successfully and form refreshes) when I Tab out of that field. It also executes properly when I use the mouse to click on another field in the detail section.
However, when I use the mouse to click on a field in the form header or form footer sections, the On Exit code does not execute properly.

I want to add an event on Form Header when double click it will filter the values, which i did with macro, but could it happen on second time double clicking it it refreshes whole as original?
I'm trying to create a report where I can use a section header as a hyperlink to show/hide detail, but only for that section. For example, my customer names are:
Code: ABC Co. ZYX Co. 123 Co.
If I click on ZYX Co., I want it to show the contracts for ONLY that customer:
I have made a small text box in the header area, as to be able to tab from the header area to the detail area, and put the code Me.[Date Sold].SetFocus (Date Sold being the name of the text box I would like to tab to) in the "Got Focus" event. However for some reason it does not work, I get an "Invalid outside procedure" error every time.
Any advice on how to fix this problem would be most welcome.
In my report when the Group Header and the Detail section will not fit onto one page, it prints the Group Header on one page, and all of the Detail on another page. Is there a way to keep them together?
I have already tried the 'Keep Together' option in the Sorting/Grouping window, setting it to both Whole Group and With First Detail, but nothing seems to work.
My report has an empty Page Header, a Group Header, Detail, and an empty Page Footer.
A user requested a change that would change the form header and detail back ground color to white when they click the button print record and then change the color back all in one click after the record prints. I keeping getting a run time error, type mismatch on the line where to code is to be changed. The colors are numbers not vbColors. I am using Access 2007.
I have a main report with 2 subreports. My main report has a header section, the 2 subreports are in the detail section of my main report. How can i prevent my report from splitting up my header and my subreports. (Header section of my main report is a company and the subreports are the detail of the company.. i don't want my compnay name on the bottom of a page and then the detail on the next page.. it does this sometimes. thanks!
Is there a simple way, or special event, that can be used to turn off the visibility of fields when they are in the detail or in a created header for a field?
I tried using the report's Load event, but this kept giving me errors. Are any of the events in the detail able to allow this?

I have a form (menu) that auto-loads along w/ the database that has a standard exit button at the bottom. On that form/menu, one item/button loads a table for editing (we'll call this 'edit table' button). I want a prompt to pop up asking whether or not the user would like to export the table to excel on exit, only when a user loads the table, regardless of whether other items from the menu are loaded during the session.
As of right now, I have a hidden form that loads when the 'edit table' button is clicked and I have an OnUnload event set on the hidden form to load an 'export to excel' form/prompt (loaded as dialog, form set to popup & modal). When I test this out by closing the hidden form (clicking it's 'x', or the 'exit' button on my main menu or access' 'x'), the 'export to excel' form loads beautifully and the 'export to excel' button works great except my other button on that form, the 'exit' button, does not work at all.
The exit button is set to 'quit -> prompt'. This is completely nitpicking, but how do I get this 'quit' button to work. Clicking on that form's 'x' button closes that window and continues the exit and I could just write I note saying 'click the x to exit', but I'd rather figure out what's broken here and fix that exit button. If I set that button to 'quit -> exit' I get an action failed error # 2950.
I have a main form (Parent) along with a subform(Children). I want to have a button that generates a report with the Parent information as a header and the items in the subform as details. In addition, I want the report to show only the children that were recently added not all of the children.
Getting error '2450' when click Access close button to exit.
Run-time error '2450': ECN cannot find the referenced form 'frmLogin'.
Note: After login my login form is visible to, cause to get login user id into "frmECN" Form. But When I'm in "frmECN" Form and enter data then close to exit Access main close button I'm getting 2450 error.
I have a report that lists states and cities within the states. When a state name happens to be at the end of the page the individual cities appear on the next page with no State heading. I solved the second page problem by setting the "repeatSection = Yes" in the Section Header (though I haven't shown that in the example below).
But the previous page (which just shows the State Name and no cities looks dumb. Is there some sort of solution.?? (Actually I would also like any State that continues to a next page to not just have the state name but something like " Colorado (Continued)" Is there anything I can do in VB to make a page break if the section is going to print but therer isn't enough room for one detail line?

If I have a report and it has controls (labels representing column titles) in the page header. Now when I print the report - if it happens that the last page has no detail records - but there is text boxes and so forth in the report footer. Is there a way to not display the page header on the last page?
I have a report where the last page shows the page header - and the field/column labels on the page header - but for which there is no detail records left to display - on the last page. There is report footer information that should display. It just looks weird because the field/column labels show at the top of the page - but there is no data remaining to print under them on that last page.
Does anyone know how to sort subform records by clicking column headers. I know there is one way by select column and click A->Z button from toolbar. Is there other way to do so? I know there are same kind of posting, but they couldn't solve my problem.
I'm working with a database with employess info in access, When I click on an employees name in a form, I want to fire off another form with there info, what I have now it does nothing.
I have a list box control on a form and i'd like to set up a right-click property. Can this be done at all? When I open the Events tab on the property window..there is no right-click property :confused:
How can you disabled a click event on a text box ? I don't want to use ENABLE = false because the background of the texte box comes gray. So, any alternative solution?
I'm trying to code an event that would occur when a user double-clicks on the Record Selector of a subform. I want it to then open a form that would provide additional details about the record selected in the subform. I can't find documentation to tell me (1) where to put the code, i.e. subform double-click event vs. subform detail double-click event, etc.; (2) how to reference the record id of the selected record for use in the filter for the form that is going to be opened (the underlying query contains the ID for the record). Can anyone help or point me to documentation?
I have a form which has a tab control on it. The form itself is based on 1 table (tblCustomers). The tab control has 2 pages.
Page 1 shows 6 fields from tblCustomers.
Page 2 of the tab control shows 2 embdedded forms. Those forms are based on queries created from tblCustomers. one shows records with a date entered into one of the fields, the other shows records that have no dates.
What I want to be able to do is when I see a company name in one of the ebedded forms (Page 2), I want to be able to double click that record and it switches me back to Page 1 and shows the the related details of whichever company I double clicked.
I have changed the double click event in the emdedded form and using the builder to create something. I also added a setfocus command as I read about that somewhere (but i have no idea what it does). Through this I managed to get it to switch from Page 2 to Page 1 when I double click, but it only ever takes me to record 1 regardless of which company i double clicked.
i may have this deisgned totally wrong so please feel free to point me in the right direction.
I'm calling a Public Click event on a Form, from a Delete Record button on another form. Debugging shows that the code executes correctly line for line... but the 'Event' doesn't function as it should. The main feature I need to to iterate over the controls on the second form to disable them, to prevent users from typing in, causing relationship error. Why is this?! Even after the execution of the code... I can click on the refresh button myself, which will disable the control, but not if I call the event from the code.

If you click on the main form called frmpatient you will see 2 text boxs one called Primary Insurance the other Called Secondary Insurance
Above those text boxes are to hyper links which open the list box
What I'm trying to do is if a user double clicks the name of the Insurance From the List Box it will insert that Name of the Insurance Into either The Primary Insurance or Secondary Insurance Text Fields
I do not Want to Use combo Boxes because I have about 1,000 Insurances in my database.
