Overide Tab-through Autosaving?

Sep 15, 2006

I have a form with several sections which corrrespond with different tables. Currently, when a user clicks or tab's through to the next section, the previous section is automatically saved into the corresponding table. Is there any way to over-ride this automatic saving and have the form be saved all at once? The autosave has been a real nuissance as the records created cannot then be deleted without cascading (very few users have rights to cascade delete). Hope this is clear, please let me know if I need to expand.

Access Autosaving...

Oct 21, 2006

I'm suddenly finding myself in the situation of weird behavior. Many times I'm testing things i've written or created and may need to just create a quick table or query to see what the outcome is, and then I close it without saving. This is normal. But suddenly now, Access will not allow me to do that. In order to close a Query/Table "design" view I HAVE to save it. Even more annoyingly, where the Table Design used to ask me about a Primary Key, now it automatically adds one if one isn't created. Where is this behavior controlled from so that I can turn it off.

Date Auto Change Overide

Sep 23, 2005

I have just upgraded my large client database from Access 97 to Access 03. Unfortuntely all date of birth prior to 1930 are being displayed as 20??. IE date of birth 1928 displays 2028. Is there any way to automatically change this without altering the input mask and changeing each record individually. I have approx 15000 on the database, so not looking forward to doing it manually.
Any suggestions appreciated.
