View RepliesHas anyone heard if they have improved the rather dismal graphic design portion of form and report editing in the new Access?
I was hoping for an interface more in keeping with standard graphic design programs.
On a report I have an image. Its properties are:
Name: OLEUnbound9
OLE Type: Embedded
OLE Type Allowed: Either
OLE Class: Microsoft Photo Editor 3.0 Photo
Class: MSPhotoEd.3
When I try and delete it I get an error message: The OLE server isn't registered. To register the OLE server, reinstall it
How do I reinstall it, or better still how do I simply delete the image?
We have a ms graph object in the report. All the programming code relating to it is perfect and the graph displays correct too. But in some circumstances, the graph displays with different mold than it should be.
When we preview it in a single base, it works fine. Sometimes, in this way too the graph has a display error.
I have used the maximum potential solution to this, but all failed in vain.
1. Setting delays and refreshing the form and re-querying the graph data
2. Created a new database and imported all the objects and tried to run
3. Compact and repair database
4. Tried with re-creating the report from scratch.
why this type of error display is coming up with the ms graph object.
I need to place fields on a form that is not linked to a table or query. Form was built by my predecessor and it already contains multiple fields, however the form itself is not linked to any data source. I have tried hardcoding the field onto the form, but it didn' take. How is this done?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have n horizontal labels named Label_1 to Label_n. I'd like to assign values to the label captions by using a loop.
Something like:
For i = 1 To n
Set Label_i.Caption = i
End
However, this doesn't work. Message "Object required".
Any suggestions?
Hi,
I've performed a search using a SQL statement which is based upon the results of two combo boxs.
Combo66.RowSource = "SELECT Product_Id FROM Product WHERE (Name_Suffix='" & Combo60.Value & "') AND (Name_Family='" & Combo56.Value & "');"
There will only ever be one result, I can display this result in a combo box without problems but I would like to display it in a text box. Is this possible?
I'm very much a newbie to Access so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Lee
I have a database with a couple of search forms to use for my company. My boss wants me to place this on the intranet so anyone can use it not only those with MS Access, which many people do not have on their computers. Please let me know if there is a way to do this and still make it interactive by means of searching. Thanks

Hi all,
A nice easy one for you. I am creating a database, one of the fields is total cost. Is there an easy way to have another field, which calculates the VAT without using a query? I would like this done as soon as the total is entered.
I have done this using a query, but didnt like this way.
I am sure there must be a very simple way of doing this but it has escaped me.

I am trying to write a query that selects multiple rows of a table and puts those into a single string with a comma delimiter.
I want it to select all rows after a specific word is found in the row above and then stop selecting when another specific word below the last row is found.
Example below: >>>
The data i am using is very unorganised and has not headers, so I have to try and specific lines in order to allocate them to a specific user.
Sample Data:
IDFullContent
459Authorized Privileges:
460ACNT ALLSPOOL ALTPRI AUDIT BUGCHK BYPASS
461CMEXEC CMKRNL DIAGNOSE DOWNGRADE EXQUOTA GROUP
462GRPNAM GRPPRV IMPERSONATE IMPORT LOG_IO MOUNT
463NETMBX OPER PFNMAP PHY_IO PRMCEB PRMGBL
464PRMMBX PSWAPM READALL SECURITY SETPRV SHARE
465SHMEM SYSGBL SYSLCK SYSNAM SYSPRV TMPMBX
466UPGRADE VOLPRO WORLD
467Default Privileges:
Output Expected:
"
ACNT,ALLSPOOL,ALTPRI,AUDIT,BUGCHK,BYPASS,CMEXEC,CM KRNL,DIAGNOSE,DOWNGRADE,EXQUOTA,GROUP,GRPNAM,GRPPR V,IMPERSONATE,IMPORT,LOG_IO,MOUNT,NETMBX,OPER...etcc "
The delimiter can be anything.
I have a form that I am inputting data into. I have been able to Clear the form. I have created an edit script and it brings the data from the table to populate the form. When I try to change the data in the form and run a VBA update to push the data down to the table I am having no luck. I can add/Delete recordswith no problems but I can't edit them and put them back in the table. I am novice and just learning the formats and scripting.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have just tried experimenting with placing a Chart control within a form (Access 2010). Although the chart ultimately seems to work (based on my one simple example), I'm getting an Error 1907 (Could not register font.......) each time I launch the database or reload or edit the form.
This error message is itself contained within a "Configuration Progress" screen for MS Office Prof + 2010 which seems to complete if I select Ignore the error message but runs again each time the database is launched (with the same error message showing up part way through). I am logged on as Administrator.
I created a Access 2010 database query to allow a user to search a list of orders between 2 dates, and I created a form for them to use for this search.
Then I created a report for the search results to land on. What I want to do is have the 2 dates that the user provided be displayed in the header of the report.
I created a new Text Box and placed it in the header. In place of the "Unbound" filler that was there, I placed
"=[Forms]![frm_DateRange]![txtStart]".
I used the following steps to do this:
Clicked on the Text Box controlPressed the "Property Sheet" buttonSelected the "Data" TabPressed the "..." button next to the "Control Source EntryThe "Expression Builder" came upDouble-clicked on the database name in the "Expression Elements" windowDouble-clicked on "Forms", then double-clicked on "All Forms"Selected the rpt_DateRange" formSelected "txtStart" from the "Expression Categories" window.I did not select anything in the "Expression Values" window.
When I go to "Report View", and see the Text Box I added, but inside it, it just says "#Name?"
The company I work for has branches in multiple states and we use Access to organize all their tax requirements. We print out reports for every month, and my company would like to create a pop-up window that will let us filter the report when it starts up so that it automatically shows only the dates that we wish it to. How do I create a filter that pops-up when the report starts?

Hi folks,
In code i have built a string variable called strRAG which is a combination of text "Me!lbl" and another variable called intSiteID, which forms for example label name Me!lbl51.
I have a form with loads of labels on it and what i want to do is use this string to set the BackColor of the label.
The code i use loops round building up different label names but i am have problems relating the strRAG detail to the form labels.
I have posted this question in VBA early this week but after looking at the wording i have tried to rephrase it.
Thanks
Mark
I compiled my module, but an error came out,
Select Case Err.Number
Case 9999 ' Whatever number you anticipate.
Resume Next ' Use this to just ignore the line.
Case 999
Resume Exit_SomeName ' Use this to give up on the proc.
Case Else ' Any unexpected error.
Call LogError(Err.Number, Err.Description, "SomeName()")
Resume Exit_SomeName
End Select
And the error came out, Label Not Defined.
I've checked with "help", and it stated that
"The label must be within the procedure that contains the reference. Line labels are visible only in their own procedures"
Is there any missing references in the library I should checked??
Thanks!:D

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had a subfrom with two combos and a label,
-the user selects name or id from the combo and the label gets filled with information.
-added a print this on the subform and I thought it worked but when I tested it it does not print the data, only a blank label and the two blank combo boxes...
I was wondering if there is an option to print the caption of a label, or if anyone knew how to fix the problem i have above.
Thanks for any help you might be able to offer.
Hi everyone,
I'm doing up an order database that uses a report to display orders that are
faxed to the supplier.
When the report is first opened, it asks the user for the name of the
supplier (to print at the top and specify which orders to display), the date
(to also specify which orders to display), and the customer number (for the
benefit of the supplier).
Now, there are two main suppliers for this business, other suppliers are
used every now and then. Because of this, if one of these two main suppliers
is entered as a parameter initially, the corresponding customer number I
hard-code in should be displayed without having to ask the user for it. If,
however, another supplier is entered, it should ask the user for the customer
number.
This is all done in a label on the report. Currently, its control source is
set to this:
=IIf([Supplier]="supplier1","Customer
#123456",(IIf([Supplier]="supplier2","Customer #987654","Customer #" &
[Please enter customer number:])))
This works, but asks for the customer number regardless of the supplier I
enter initially.
I'm looking for a way to do something similar to above, but it shouldn't ask
for the customer number if I enter "supplier1" or "supplier2", it should use
my hard-coded values.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Panda.

simple, clicking on label in tabcontrol1 will bring you to tabcontrol2
I need to try and create a simple form that a user enters data into and then hits a print button and the text they entered is printed in a particular way.
i.e. they type in someones name, job and company into 3 fields and then hit a print button and this then prints :
PERSONS NAME
JOB TITLE
COMPANY
We also need the print to be formatted a particular way but that is another issue
This is for a small exhibition we are trying to run and we need something to print visitor badges with
Has anyone got any ideas that can really help as we have been let down by someone who was going to do this for us
I want to display the all the labels for a form in an other form. Is this possible.
Basicly have a drop dow box that has all the forms in it and then based on the combo box list the label for that form.
Hi everybody, I am trying to personalised the way Access looks and in this specific case I am trying to open a form with a label:
I: I have added a "space" on the hyperlink address property which is changing the mouse pointer to a "pointing finger" when the pointer is moved over the label,
II: I have added the following code on the move event of the label to highlight the label when the pointer is on the label:
Private Sub Option2_MouseMove(Button As Integer, Shift As Integer, X As Single, Y As Single)
Me.Option2.FontBold = True
End Sub
III: I have also added the code below on the click event of the label in order to open the form and change the pointer to an hourglass on loading time as the form can take up to 10 sec to open.
Private Sub Option2_Click()
DoCmd.Hourglass True 'Changes pointer to an hourglass
Dim stDocName As String
stDocName = "FrmSearchAssembly"
DoCmd.OpenForm stDocName
'DoCmd.Hourglass false 'Resets it to the arrow pointer
End Sub
Unfortunately the 3rd step is not working, the hourglass only appears after the form is loaded. Is anybody has any idea why and what should be done to get the hourglass to appear when the label is clicked until the form is fully loaded?
I am using the following code in the open event to set the gloves label on my form frm_Delivery_2 equal to the gloves label on form frm_delivery_1. I receive the error that the form frm_delivery_1 cannot be found. When I set the gloves label equal to another label or frm_delivery_2 using the same synax it works.
Private Sub Form_Open(Cancel As Integer)
Me.Gloves_Label.Caption = Forms!frm_Delivery_1.Gloves_Label.Caption
End Sub
What or where would I need to setup the code so that it sees the glove_label value on my form frm_delivery_1 and sets the glove label on my frm_delivery_2 equal to it.
