Printing A Textbox Not Working?!

I have a Form that contains a Textbox (txtSummary) which summarises all information that is contained on that Form. All I want to do is print the textbox only, as a quick reference for other people to look over.
I searched this Forum beforehand to see if the printing of the textbox was possible and found the following advice:
Create a textbox on a Report and for the Control Source of that report put..
=[Forms]![MyFormName]![txtSummary]
but when I view the report I get the error... ?Name
I have checked that all names are correct and they are as far as I can see.
Could somebody please tell me what it is that I am doing wrong.

I have a database in Microsoft access 2010. The database has a table that stores prospective customer records, and a form that is used to input a search criteria(s) via textboxes, which then queries prospective customers table and returns the records that contain the inputted search criteria(s).
An Example of Textboxes values on the search criteria form:
Textbox - name: bob
Textbox - address: Left blank
Textbox - category: car,boat,truck
I Have tried creating a query with the following
field: name
criteria: like “*” & name & “*”
field: address
criteria: like “*” & address & “*”
field: category
criteria: like “*” & category & “*”
SQL code:
SELECT customerName ,address,category
FROM prospectiveCustomers
WHERE customerName LIKE “*” & name & “*” AND address LIKE “*” & address& “*” AND category LIKE “*” & category& “*”;
That works, but only for one value in a textbox. Once there is more than one value in a textbox (e.g name: bob,smith), the query returns no records.
I have also tried splitting the values using the comma as a delimmter, then inserting the values into a new table. That is fine until one of the search criteria textboxes has been left blank. So the query I created will run, but returns no records.
SQL CODE:
SELECT prospectiveCustomers.name, prospectiveCustomers.address,prospectiveCustomers. category
FROM prospectiveCustomers, [SearchCriteria-name], [SearchCriteria-address],[SearchCriteria-category]
WHERE prospectiveCustomers.name Like [SearchCriteria-name].name AND prospectiveCustomers.address LIKE [SearchCriteria-address].address AND prospectiveCustomers.category LIKE [SearchCriteria-address].category;

I was having trouble just setting each report with a particular print method - for some reason they just kept forgetting their individual settings and resorting to default on the machine.
This meant reports were printing on the wrong paper, or the wrong size paper, the wrong orientation and some times refusing to print if it couldn't find the paper (which is useful in runtime as it doesn't display error messages)
So I used Reports(rpt).printer properties (I forgot where I found this) to hard code the printer properties into each print command... this meant I had to use another function to insert the variables.
So all I had to do was say:

and a report would print to exactly how I wanted... but it's just too slow!
See attached for full code, I have a niggling feeling it may be the function: PrinterOK, to make sure the printer exists or not.

Hi: There are two textboxs in my main form. One is bound and another is unbound. There is no entry in the unbound textbox as values come into automatically after entering some information in the subform. My question is how to i pass values from unbound textbox to bound textbox every time when the value change in unbound textbox i need to change the value in the bound textbox. When the form load there is already value in the bound textbox which i want to override based on the values from the unbound textbox.

I have a date textbox (Week_Ending) and number textbox (Staff_ID) in a form (frmHourEnter), when both have values I open another form (frmStaffReport) with textboxes (txtDateStart and cmbStaff).
How do I open the second form with the values of the first form pre-entered?

I have a database for billing. In my database, I have a form that consists of a main form "Order" and 2 subforms "OrderDetails" and "Customer" OrderDetails are to enter the products to be connected to the Order. All function super, but I want to have some information from one of the forms "copied" over to on of the others.
Here is what I would like
In the subform "OrderDetails" I have made a textbox that summarize all prices to a total, his tekstbox i called "Tekst31". I would like the amount in this textbox to appear in a field "Bel�b" in the main form "Order".
I have tried some different commands, but nothing has worked, also I have made a query which dose the same ting as the tekstboks, as the information in that tekstbox it not stored anywhere.

I have a text box on 'Forma' & a textbox (named text3) on 'Formb'.
I want to copy the contents of the textbox from 'Formb' to the textbox on 'Forma'. I have used the following code in the textbox on 'Forma'....
=Forms![Formb]![Text3].text
This doesn't seem to be working whether both Forms are open or only 'Forma'. Could somebody please advise as to what I am missing. Your assistance is very much appreciated.

Dear All:
I have created a form using access 2000. So far, this form already has data and dates in a combox in this format: mm/dd/yyyy.
In the AfterUpdate of the date combobox, I did this:
If graduation_date = #2/1/2004# then
Text_Graduation_date = "dated this first day of february two thousand four."
End If
End Sub
In addition, I have defined many other dates as well using the code above. It works well when I choose the date form the combobox, the other textbox populates, but there are so many more dates in the combo!
Is there a way to auto-populate the textbox with the appropriate text as I scroll through the form?

I have a program that runs under access 2007 that I use at my work. We will soon be updating to MS office 2010 and the program will not work now because a calender file .ocx was removed from access 2010. Is there a way to get the 2007 .ocx file to work in access 2010?The program I am using is a relatively simple stand-alone and unsupported app that we use to request patient arrival and departure from various radiology tests inside a hospital. No reports are made from the app other than the number of patient transports for the day.
The app is placed on a common drive accessed from any pc in the hospital. No special permissions are required. But our app does use the calendar, time and date functions in access 2007. When I tried the app on a pc with access 2010, it basically says it (access) cannot open the app because a .ocx file is not present.Is there a way to make the access 2010 calendar file work in access 2007?

I have an Access 2010 database with two tables and two forms. The tables are Organizations and People. Similarly, the forms are Organizations Entry Form and PeopleEntryForm. The People are linked to the Organizations table. Several people can be linked to the same organization.On my Organizations EntryForm, I created a command button to duplicate a record using the wizard. It works fine.
I did exactly the same thing on the PeopleEntryForm, but instead of copying the record, it creates a new blank record. I don't get any error messages. Is my problem due to the fact that the People table is linked to the Organizations table?

I currently have two froms, "add record" and "add record cont." The reason I have two seperate forms is because when clients create a new record information needs to be saved to two different tables and when creating one from with fields from both tables I ran into many problems. The two tables are named : tblMain, tblFileLoc Currently there is a textbox on both forms named "fileID" the FileID in the first form is from tblMain and is the primary key for that table, the FileID on the second form "Add Record Cont." is just a normal field. When clients enter in the new FileID in the first form "Add Record" and then move onto the next form "Add Record Cont." i need access to bring the entered FileID from the first form and Fill it in the FileID field in the second form. Currently I have tried making the control source for the textbox on the second form = the textbox on the first form but it brought up an error.

Dear All:
I have created a form with various textboxes. In one unbound textbox called Graduation_date, I input information and this is reflected in another bound textbox called text762.
However, as I scroll through the form, the information that is to be reflected in textbox 762 disappears.
Any ideas on how to apply the information entered in Graduation_date textbox to all?

My database is a Reservations System. I want the following to happen:
1. Once a booking has been made it CAN be modified and cancelled.
2. Once the ticket has been issued (printed) it CANNOT be modified.
3. Once reprinted the words "DUPLICATE" should appear on the face of the reprinted ticket
4. Keep track of who made what changes.

Hey all, I have a problem I was hoping that someone could help me with. I am trying to add my digital signature to my report. Since I have added an activeX Control to my form which display and stores my signauture, I would like to display it on my report as well (if it apperas with the record) So I added it like any other control to the report but when it is saved it is letters and numbers, so I have to make it back into a digital signature. Can anyone help me.Thanks

When i go into print preview on all my existing forms the information is displayed over the 'x' amount of pages it covers. I have created a new form and when i go into print preview it only displays a blank page.
Any help would be very appreiciated, thank you.

I have a form which has a "Printing Button" The printing button has to print (through a macro) a report that I created based on the form's information. Now, it works perfect on the PC I work on (which has ACCESS 2007), but it gives me an error when hitting the same button from a PC using the runtime version (with no ACCESS 2007 installed).
The error is:
The command or action 'Print' isn't available now.
The code of the macro that executes when hitting the button is:
SelectObject Report, PersonalUncompleted Tasks, Yes
RunCommand Print
How would I fix this?

I have a form with multiple subforms. When I hit print selected record I get a blank sheet of paper. What could be set to not allow the data or the background of the form to print?
If I just print the subform out by itsself it works good. However when I have the main form open then try to print I get blank pages.
I am sure someone changed a fairly small setting, but I do not know what has been changed. Thanks.
