I've got a report, which on the screen is three chrts and a page break in between. Page is set up to print landscape.
When I print the report or save to pdf it adds a lot of pages in between 2 and 3. It seems to be of chart no.2 getting smaller and smaller. I've attached a copy of the pdf so you can see what I mean.
I have a report where the detail section, holding 4 subreports, takes up 5 inches in the middle of the page between the header and footer. We want the entire 5 x 8 area enclosed in a box on every page. I have tried to achieve this by putting a line in the Detail_Format section:
Code: boxDetail.Height = 5 * 1440 * Pages
However, when I run the report, I get pages 1/3 correctly, then 2/3 and 3/3 with no detail section or box, and then pages 4/3, 5/3, and 6/3 with blank detail sections and no box. If it's a 1-page report, the same - page 1/1 is perfect and page 2/1 is blank, no data and no box. I also sometimes (but not always) get overflow errors from the Detail_Format event.
I know it's not a margin error because that would be every other page, and the page count wouldn't be doing that. (Still, I have scrupulously checked every margin, and they all look fine.) Getting this look on the report is a priority. Any way to achieve the same result with the box without causing the missing data and extra pages?
When I print reports, Access is printing 2 pages per sheet, making the text VERY small. However, EVERY setting that I can find, whether the main printer setup or the Access program itself, shows that it's supposed to print only ONE per page.
The only program that this occurs with is Access. Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing? Thanks.
I've been asked to make sure only certain users in my database are able to print anything (i.e. Administrators). Is there any option/property to do this?
I have already built in User Access controls using the ctl.Tag property. The only way I can think off the top of my head is when a 'general user' uses it, to ensure that every control is displayed 'on screen only'. This of course doesn't stop them printing - just makes them print blank pages!
I have a report base on a select query but in the report i get the following:
page 1 = record 1 page 2, page 3, page 4 = are empty (nothing to see on the pages) page 5 = record 2 page 6, page 7, page 8 = are empty (nothing to see on the pages) page 9 = record 3 ...........etc... So there are three empty pages between every two pages(records).
I have checked in the settings of the report and all properties but cannot find the solution.
Can any one help me to solve this ? Thanks in advance
Is there any way to change orientation of report in report footer? I mean, I want to produce report header, detail etc in landscape and after detail I have given page break, at last page only report footer should be in portrait.
I have already created a summary report that is one page long, however, every time I view my report in report view, export to PDF or print, the report has duplicate copies! Not blank pages. Just duplicate copies of my one page. The report is generating hundreds (about 700) of the same exact page. How do I force my report to have just one page.
While I have worked with computer all my life I am new to Access. I managed to create my database and the report I wanted to generate. However; I cannot get the Report Header to print on all pages. It only prints on the first page.
I'm working with getting a 3 page report to print/create PDF of the 3 pages. Right now I have the formatting set up for the 3 pages but each is an individual report. Is there a way to combine the reports into a single report? I've been messing around with subreports but can't get it to display correctly.
Have a generic dashboard report with multiple charts in it. One in particular is a bar chart, but depending on what the dashboard is produced for, the bar chart may have too many bars in it to make it legible. Therefore I'd like to conditionally determine the number of bars (basically the number of records in the query) and then make the chart go from one page and continue onto another.
Send only one or two pages of a multi-page report. I have a report that has three pages. I only want to send the first two as a pdf file. Can this be done with VBA? I know it can be done using Exporting Data on the External Data ribbon, but how can I do it via VBA?
I have been asked to create a database very quickly for a small group that needs to scan multiple pages into an Access 2007 form. They they would like all scanned documents to be converted to PDF and stored on a shared network folder which can be accessed by their group. I have tried several ideas posted but, I have been unable to get any to work correctly. Any sample of working database that the scanning portion is working? I am so involved with other projects right now that I just don't have the time to create a scanning process on the database.
I have a main report with 2 subreports. My main report has a header section, the 2 subreports are in the detail section of my main report. How can i prevent my report from splitting up my header and my subreports. (Header section of my main report is a company and the subreports are the detail of the company.. i don't want my compnay name on the bottom of a page and then the detail on the next page.. it does this sometimes. thanks!
I can not get my Access Report to give me a total number of pages by group. I've been able to have it give the correct page number per group but not the total number of pages in each group. I've looked at the threads and it appears that in order to get this, you must do a 2 part pass. 1st to get the page number and then to get the total papers per group.
I've used the code supplied and when I do a print preview, I get the message that it can not find the control, Me!ctlGrpPages. This is the control I created and placed in my page footer section of the report. I've also seen numerous references to the report, "Employee Sales by Country" in the Northwind database. I downloaded the database but could not find this report in the database.
I am trying to print one record displayed in a form. I also need to print one record in another form at different times. I have one form working fine. It prints out the displayed record in my report just fine by clicking the Print_report button.
I copied the report and renamed it. in this form the print button is named Print_Requested. When I open this form and click the Print_Requested button, it prints out everything except for the data.
Edit: The reason I made a duplicate report is because it was doing the same thing when I tried to print the same report from different forms. One report is all I need, but I need to be able to print it from different forms.
Here is my code: -----------------------------
Private Sub Print_report_Click() On Error GoTo Err_Print_report_Click
While using a relational database in Access 2003, I am writing a letter to people, reminding them what resources they have been allocated. The short letter is in a form and a subform has been used to list the resources - between 1 and 5 lines.
If I isolate one person by filtering, I get x identical pages, where x = the number of resources that have been allocated to them. Therefore, some people get one page, others could get 5 identical pages.
Can anyone advise how I can just show and print one page per person, irrespective of the number of resources allocated to them? I can get the correct result in a report but need it in a form so that the users can edit and select the letters to be printed easily.
The main problem is related with the attachment printing. Each data entry has attachment (word file). It's ok when I'm about to print one attachment per entry, but often I need to print most of attachments at once, doing it separately looks overwhelming. Mainly - I want to have ability to print all attachments at once or select multiple attachments.
I am creating an access database that holds customer information for a friend of mine. I am struggleing to think of ways to make Access do several tasks.
I have created several forms that display when reletive buttons are clicked and some run automatically using queries, one of which runs a query that displays any upcoming service inervals that are within thirty days of the current date, and allows the user to print a report that is designed to be a service notice for the relevant Customer/s which contains the customers address, phone numbers and service due date with a small pre-made text insert that advises the Customer about the upcoming service recommedation. The Form also provides the ability to print address labels for the same customers, making it quick and easy to send them out by post. The problem that I am having is that I would like the customers information that has already been printed to be removed or greyed out in someway so that the query does'nt print out duplicates but also have the ability to allow user control to reprint any result that may for any reason need reprinting.
I'm pretty new to all of this. I've set up a simple database. I have a form in it for inputting information and then there is a command button on the bottom which prints out a report I've created with the information on it. This is all working great except it prints evey record and I only want the current record printed out.
I've tried the help and it goes into detail about OpenReport and PrintOut in macros. I have no idea what a macro is or what to do with it.
Can anybody please help me and give me step by step instructions as to how to print out only the current record in the report from the command button.
I have a form (entry screen to enter data) I then created a report in the layout I need for my order form. I want to creat a button that a user can press and it will print the current record to the report (order form layout)
Here is my current code for the print button on the form page: Private Sub btnPrtOrderFrm_Click() On Error GoTo Err_btnPrtOrderFrm_Click
The only problem is when I tell it to print if I am on record number 2 on the form, it prints both record 1 and record 2. I only want the current record i am in to print. Any ideas much appreciated
Hi all, i'm having a rather annoying problem. When I view my report I have 2 sets of conditional formatting that run, one that changes the back colours of certain fileds when the criteria is meet, and the second, the text colour of certain fields, both of which work fine when previewing the report. However, when I print the report, any of the back colour in the preview does not print out but text colour does. If I print from another office programme i.e. Word, block colour is printed fine its just seems to not work in my access.
Please note that if the same report is printed from another computer, it prints fine.
Please does anyone have any idea on why this is happening and how to sort it. Thanks in advance for any ideas and help.
I am trying to print a report from a form. Once i enter an order detail i finish off by printing a letter. At the moment we are doing this via a query by entering the order id.
I want to automate this so for the form record i am in i want a button to print a report for that record only.
I know this can be done as i rember doing this in college but i cant get my head round it at the moment.
