I have created a button to display the current time ( sign in and out).
It works fine with this code Me.field = time$
However i need a code beneath it to run the actual query that will display this time onto the table...
I have attached an image of one of the query, I need it to run.
I have been playing with the sample DB alastair69 donated in the sample db section of the site. "The nice timer function".
If you don’t start the timer right away you don’t have the correct time.
I haven’t figured out how to add a reset type of button to display the most current time in the start time field. Can any one help me out please?
All, using access 2010. How do I display the default value of a date/time field to just the current year instead of using =date() to get the full date.

I have a problem displaying the £ sign in my query. Instead of the query displaying £448.87 it displays 448.87.
You can see from the below image that the value of AllCost is £448.87 and I don't understand why its displaying 448.87 when I run the other query called All Cost 2. The Nz function is used to display £0.00 if the AllCost field is null.

I need a Select Query to display data on a form. When an order is appended to my table the field named Printed is updated with the time it was appended. When my form opens it needs to display the field Printed and a field I call MinutesFromPrint. This field needs to display the total minutes elapsed from the time in the Printed field to the current time. My expression is not working.
MinutesFromPrint: DateDiff("n",[Printed],Now())
Here are a couple of samples of my results when I run the query at 7:49 A.M.:

I have a form thats already created. I would like to put a box or something next to a button so I can monitor when the last time the button was pushed. Ive seen it somewhere before and never took a moment or a need to see how it was put together.

This all seems to work other than the fact that when the link popups up it has a "#" on either side that basically makes it an invalid address. Then I put that result in a pivot table in Excel. In line we have time logon by date and in column we have time logoff by date.
Here is the issue : In Excel for the 4 lines above, it counts 2 logon at 4PM and 2 logon at 5PM. We should have 4.

I have a replicated database. I'd like to display the name of the version of the database that is being used on the data entry form so it's clear which version is being used.
What's the code for the current filename? (I'm talking about the entire "filename.mdb" file).
There are 3 main tables
tblDrawingRegister - stores information about construction drawings
tblDrawing Revisions - each drawing in tblDrawingRegister has one or more revision or version
tblVendorDrawingList - this table has a list of drawings numbers that correspond to the drawings in tblDrawingRegister.
The drawing numbers from the vendor table as provided as an 'extra' as some people are more familiar with this numbering system.
Now the issue is that there is a one-to-many relationship between tblDrawingRegister and tblVendorDrawingList. In the screenshot I've attached there are 14 drawing numbers that correspond to one drawing number in tblDrawingRegister. (This is because the main supplier has packaged 14 drawings as one with just one drawing number). When this is the case I want to display the drawing title from the Vendor table. Otherwise if should just show the title from tblDrawingRegister.
I have tried using Dlookup to show the title from the vendor table when there are dublicates in the vendor table. It didn't work and I think this would be really slow. I've tried a few other things too but to no avail.
I really hope that this is clear. I've attached screenshots of the query too.
I have a database that lists jobs that need doing, in the jobs table there is a Deadline field, this is a Date Time field that specifies when a job must be finished by.
So I'm trying to make a query, using my limited knowledge, that displays all jobs that need finishing between todays date and the rest of the week.
So I tried this and got nowhere:
Between #(Date())# AND #(Date()+7)#
I have a table with a list of events and times at which they occur. I would like to compare these times with the current system time, and display perhaps the next 10 events chronologically. Does anyone know how to do this?

I am trying to get the current time to display in the same record as an identity number.
I am using a barcode scanner to identify the ID number. Using a program called BC Wedge it will place the ID number into a field in a table of the database. I also want it to record the current time the ID number was scanned.
I tried setting the default value of the 2nd field to Now(), however this does record the current time, but in a new record. This basically gives me a list of ID numbers from the barcode scanner and a list of recorded times, however all the times are one record out.
Is there anyway to get the recorded time to be placed in the same record as the ID number?
As far as I am aware the BC Wedge software needs to have the table in table view, although I may be wrong about this.
Hope somebody can help me with this.
I have a form with date/time field. I have the default value at =Now(). My problem is I would like for this particular field to stay with the current date/time all the time. I mean if I created a form last week with the date/time of 3/14/2005 12:54:34 PM and go back to the same form to edit something this week I would like for that particular date/time to be the current date/time and not the date/time from the week and time the original form was created.

I am trying to write code to change the color of the text on a button on a continues form. I only want the button for the specific record, that meets the requirements of the if/then, to be effected. The code below will change the button for every record if one record meets the requirements.

I have two fields in my form contained Start time and End time. Currently, Both fields using default Time$() on form. However, End time always wrong because until we get our job done, It took atleast 20 or 30 minutes more than current default time. My question is, is there any way I can setup the End time to just click on it, and a new current default time populated?
