Database that will show both his side income information as well as his regular income and expenses. I have constructed a tables for the categories, his rec/payables which has information for both his personal & business, the other table he wants to filter only information regarding the business. I set up a form with a subform (business). I need the combo box in the main form to auto populate the matching fields in the business subform, everything but the client name and id. I have tried creating a query for criteria business, it works in query mode but not when I try to use it on the form.
The main form:

The subform
IncSrc IncAmt ExpSrc ExpAmt ActionDate ClientName ClientID
I have a subform that is populated with records, filtered by two combo boxes on the main form. I would like to be able to double-click on one of the records in the subform and have it populated in the main form for editing.
I have a main form with an unbound combo box. I also have a subform showing records in datasheet view.on the after_update event of the combobox I want to filter the subform. When I go to design view and look at the record source it displays the RS1 portion (the original RS), but all of the terms are placed in brackets []. Hello. I am trying to make an invoice sheet in Access 2000. My program consists a Order Sheet (frmOrder2), Delivery (frmDelivery) Sheet and a Invoice Sheet (frmInvoice). All three are linked by DoNo. The DoNo is made by frmOrder2.
I have a form that is called frmInvoice and a subform called subInvoice.
What I basically want to do is, to get the subform (subInvoice) to show records depending on the selection in the combobox DoNo in the main form.
subInvoice should show the Items, UnitPrice, Amount, TotalPrice, Remarks. These Items should show the records of frmOrder2.
I am kind of confused and totally lost, because I have no clue how to start! And I am quite a beginner so, bear with me! Thank you!
I have built a form that holds details of training records. What I want is when a drop down is selected in the main form, that it will populate some of the fields in the subform. I have this working at the moment, that for example, when a certain course is selected, that their modules will appear in the subform. Where my problem arises is that I have a relationship between two tables that I want to appear on the subform, so that details can be filled in on the subform against the list of modules that automatically appear.
I've got an access front-end database running on Access Runtime on a Terminal Server with a back-end on a data server both of which are hosted by a remote company and accessed via Terminal Services. All is well and the database is working fine but because this is a cloud system I need a way that I can easily delve into the tables on the back-end without copying it down locally from the cloud each time (I've set up an "administrator" option so that this would be available to limited users). I've got the front-end forms working as I'd like but I have quite a few tables and I'd like to avoid creating a separate form for every table. I've been able to populate a combobox on my form with the list of linked tables and I'd like that when I choose a particular table from this list that the whole table is then visible within a subform below in case I need to manually intervene with the data for any reason.

As you can see in the brackets, I would like to use the value in textbox1 on my main form in this query (so I can select only the tracks from the album that is typed in textbox1, disregarding the others).
I have a subform which makes a change to a field on the main form. When focus is returned to the main form, the BeforeUpdate and AfterUpdate events fire. Why? I thought from the form's perspective, the subform is just another control.
BTW, I get the same behavior if I modify the field from within the Exit event of the subform control.
In either case, the main form's Dirty event is NOT triggered.
I am creating a student database. I have crated a single table for this database and a form. Two combo boxes. I have created these two combo boxes named (Documents Submitted and Documents pending).
These two boxes I created using "Lookup coloumn". I selected "I will type in the values that I want" for both the boxes. After I filled the values in both as (CV, Ielts, Passport Copy, Certificates, photo id). After this I gave the name and selected "Allow multiple values".
Now in my form it shows both the combo boxes and in both the boxes it shows CV, Ielts etc. I can select multiple Items in both the boxes. I hope I am clear up to here.
Now at this point these two boxes (Document Submitted and Documents pending) are showing items (documents names) separately. What I want is to combine the values of both. I want to do is, if I select "CV, IELTS, passport copy" in document submitted box, rest of the pending names (Photo ID, Certificates) should automatically be filled in Document pending box. What ever I didn't select in Document submitted box should appear in Document pending box.
For better understanding i am attaching my file with it.
I need to pull data from a master project list to auto update other forms. When someone enters a project number I need it to pull the data for that project into another form so they dont need to keep typing details in. The other forms are trackers for our processes to complete the projects.
Let me know what you think...would a subform pull the info automatically somehow?
I would like to select a record from my combobox dropdown list and have that record populate in my subform. Currently, I am only able to select the 1st record at the top of the dropdown list to appear in my subform. But I would like to select any record from the dropdown list and have it populate my subform.
In my quality control database QC techs will be entering in test results. Each quality control entry they put in will have a product and lot number it is related too.
My question is about making data entry easier for the QC techs. When two jobs are being run at once, the techs may have to alternate between which jobs they enter, meaning a different product and lot number. It would be frustrating for the QC techs to enter in a product code and lot number for every entry they make.
Can the lot number field be automatically populated when the tech selects a product? Basically, if the tech selects product A, can the last lot number value for product A automatically populate the field in the new entry?
Edit: Currently I have the "solution" of making two instances of the entry form with each lot number entered on the different one. This allows the QC Techs to use the CTRL+ ' to populate the last record, allowing them to quickly enter the product code, lot number, and date of the job they are working on.
Trying to pull information from a text box on double click to populate a combobox on another form...

I have a main form that has two subforms, subform1 and subform2, both connected to the main form. When I enter data into a field in subform1 I want subform2 to requery and update to show the calculated results from the new or changed data in subform1.
I found that if I do a refresh it works when changing the data but not when entering a new line of data in subform1. I tried some code in the after update field of on subform1, but cannot seem to get anything to work.
Me.[subform2].Form.Requery
Does not work. It errors and says it cannot recognize subform2 as a field. I have tried a field name on subform2 but I still got the same error.
I am currently building a main form with a combo box control, two subforms and a hidden text box (optional). There are many different references to be made between tables, queries and forms to get to the result I am after, and I have tried many different codes from other people’s queries that seemed close to mine; however, had no luck getting my subforms to work as I’d like.
The names of my controls/forms/queries are as follows…
Main Form: frm_UReport Subform 1: sbfrm_Query1 (refers to Query1, which refers to and calculates on tbl_C) Subform 2: sbfrm_Query2 (refers to Query2, which refers to and calculates on tbl_S) ComboBox: cmbo_ProductList (refers to tbl_ProductList) TextBox: txt_ProductCode (refers to cmbo_ProductList, column 0)
I want the two subforms to run their respective queries after a Product Code has been chosen from the ComboBox. The relationship between the tables is one-to-many, from tbl_ProductList to each of tbl_S and tbl_C; with ProductCode as the primary key in tbl_ProductList.
Currently, I can choose a Product Code from the combo box, and it populates the text box successfully, but nothing happens in the subforms.
The codes I have worked with so far are as follows…

I have started working on integrating sbfrm_Query1 into the main form first, which is why the code looks different between the two subforms. Once I have it working, I will translate the same format to sbform_Query2.
Due to all the different levels of references that need to be made, I am having trouble identifying which (or if all) of the codes are incorrect.
Lets say I have Form A and Subform A with the parent-child relationship established that works well. Subform A has a Text box control that is getting display when I include the subform in Form A.
Now, I decided I dont want to include subform A in the Form A. Is there a way for me to show the contents of that Text box control in Form A without attaching the subform in the main form (Form A)?
I read somewhere that to refer a control on a subform, I have to use the code - Forms!mainform!subform.form!control. But this would be in VBA. What is the equivalent of this in a Control Source in the main form?
If I have not explained myself correctly, please do let me know.
To summarize, my question is without including the subform, I want to reference the values of the subform in the mainform. (I have some design necessity for this requirement) Is there a way for this?
I've a form that has 2 subforms - which subform is used is dependant on the selection of a combo box in the main form. After much time spend trying to set this up I am happy to report that this section works fine.
My problem is that when I have completed the subform I am not able to continue tabbing through the rest of the form.
everytime i try to tab from my subform, it creates a new record for that subform. Also, about the subform, the control that links the main form and sub form is unique. I have now set my Cycle property on my subforms and forms to Current Record. How can I tab from the subform to the main form and vice versa?

I have a main form that contains basic project information, and one of many subforms that contains project manager and contract information. (forms and subs linked by project ID) My project managers want to have the ability to only show project records that are theirs. I can make a filter based on any field in the main form without a problem using code like below.

How do I write a filter to reference the project manager field in a subform that will actually filter the main form and subform records?
This is my first post to these forums, however I have leeched so much information off of all you guys that I can't even begin to express my gratitude. So, now, onto my problem... I'm developing a form for our call centre people to enter information regarding customer returns. Customer orders are placed on one of two systems. In my form, when the person is entering info, I have a drop down box to choose between the two systems, which calls up a respective subform to enter system-specific information. The problem I have is that I can use tab to enter the subform, however I can't use it to get out. There are two records in the subform - order date and order number. After I enter info into these 2 textboxes and try to tab out, it seems that the subform goes to a new record. How can I get my form to tab into the next required field on the main form? Hopefully this makes sense, I just read through it and its kinda questionable. Thank you very much in advance.
I have a main form with 5 fields (I'd like to be able to use any number of them) that I want to use to run a query against that is contained in a subform. What is the best way to go about this?
