Queries :: Converting Mmmm Yyyy To Including All Dates In That Range In Query
Oct 14, 2014
My table has many records for each month. I am creating a report that will display only the records in one month of a year. I have been able to create a form that gives the user the choice of the Month and Year for which to create the report. The code I am using to create the combo box is:
Code:
SELECT DISTINCT Month([QTDate]) AS MoNum, Format([QTDate],"mmmm yyyy") AS MoName
FROM MainTBL
ORDER BY Month([QTDate]);
What I need to do now is create the query for the report that displays all records for the chosen month and year. If I simply reference the combo box, all it shows is mmmm yyyy and the days are missing so the query doesn't work. What do I need to do to create the query so it displays all days within the month and date selected?
User Query #1: Notes: ReportStartDate will always be entered as the first day of the month; ReportEndDate will always be entered as the last day of the month The report will always show 6 consecutive months
User selects ReportStartDate = 7/1/12; ReportEndDate = 12/31/12
Notable conditions: -The calculation for Contract 1 will have a partial month profit calculated for September 2012. The other months can show the MonthlyProfit value, with October and December being $0. -The calculation for Contract 2 will have a partial month profit calculated for July 2012 and December 2012. The other months can show the MonthlyProfit value. -The calculation for Contract 3 will have no partial months since the StartDate is on a month beginning, and the ReportEndDate is prior to the EndDate. July 2012 will show $0.
Request: I either need a super complicated IIF statement for 6 fixed columns in a query (one column for each month) or a smart function, neither of which I can do.
I have a query and I want to make a certain range of dates for the query to run. For example: from 10/6 to 10/7. What would be a parameter for this range of date? Should I put it on a query?
Unable to use Between query without pulling dates out of range.I
f I set the Criteria to Between [Enter the start date:] And [Enter the end date:] and input the dates 1/2/2014 & 1/15/2014 i'm pulling data for those dates but for year 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 as well.
if I enter in Between #1/2/2014# And #1/15/2014# it gives me just the dates I requested.I need to be able to have a user use the macro and just enter in the dates they need data for.
Also, I am using the criteria on a date ime field that I have set up an expression on - CreateDate: DateValue([TABLE]![date])the date in the table is stored with time and I just need to show the date.
I have a client that wants to enter a range of dates in a query of when they will call that person back. Then they want to be able to type in a range of dates and have a make table query show them all the people that fall in between these two dates....is this even possible??? Ex. Joe March 3 to March 8 Mary March 4 to March 9 John March 5 to March 10
So if they type into the query March 3 to March 6 all three people should show up because one of the dates specified lies within the parameters they are asking for.....man I am out of ideas
Hi, I am a longtime Excel user, and am now migrating some work to Access.
I have 2 fields dealing with dates in the format mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm, OPEN and CLOSE
I'd like to get the difference between the two in hours, but I have no idea how or where to do this in Access. I'm assuming it is put into the queries, but it would be easier if I could just put it in the table.
Here is an example 1/1/2008 1:00 1/2/2008 2:00 I want the result to be "25"
I am using Between Me.Firstdate and Me.Lastdate in a query. I thought that it would include both Firstdate and Lastdate in the range. But it appears that it does not. Is there a way to include Firstdate and Lastdate in the range of dates?
I have a table called StockTable with the following fields Location, Status, Serial, Make, Model, LastDate, DotNumber
I also have a table called FCDateRange with three fields
DateStart DateEnd and DotNumber
For example
3/7/13 - 3/13/13 - 1 3/14/13 - 3/20/13 - 2
Im trying to figure how to write a query that if the lastdate from the StockTable falls during the DateStart and DateEnd fields it will assign it the number in the DotNumber field
I have a table of events that includes fields for ages, a Start Age and a End Age.
I want to make a query that pulls up how many programs have been provided to a given age group. How can I make it so that the query will understand to include records that have the given age group in between the Start Age and End Age fields? I.e. if I set the query to 3rd Grade, records that start at 2nd Grade and end with 4th Grade are included in the results as well.
Hi I have set up a form to prompt for start and end dates so that users can input their own dates which will return a report that is based on a query. However if they enter 01/04/07 to 30/04/07 it doesn't include the last date. I have tried putting the following into the query Between [forms]![formname]![cbostartdate] and CDate[forms]![formname]![cboenddate]+#23:59:59# but I keep getting the following message when trying to access the form.
The expression is typed incorrectly, or it is too complex to be evaluated. For example, a numeric expression may contain too many complicated elements. Try simplifying the expression by assigning parts of the expression to variables.

I need some helps I have a table with date + time, how can I query so that it retrieve a 7 days range from today and go back ti 7 days
i though this should work (it works if the the table has date only no time) Between Date() And DateAdd("d",-7,Date())
I currently have a form where users can enter an "End Date", click a button, and it queries the data from 12 months prior to "End Date" entered.
Is there a way to force the query to show all 12 months, even if there are no records for a particular month? For example: if the user enters February 2013 in the date field, I would like the query to return:
March 2012 April 2012 May 2012 June 2012 July 2012 August 2012 September 2012 October 2012 November 2012 December 2012 January 2013 February 2013
...so even if June 2012 has no records, it is included in the query with a value of zero.
This is what I have so far:
WHERE (((Qry_Tbl_Assets.Dte) Between DateAdd("m",-12,[Forms]![Main_screen]![End_Date]) And [Forms]![Main_screen]![End_Date]))
i'm importaing a table through a mysqlserver, it contains a field (call_time) and its a long integer, i suppose it's an unix date format that can be converted
into DD:MM:YYYY HH:MM format, only problem is i cant find a way to do it on access i've tried creating a query with all the fields and adding my one fields with commands such as valdate([call_time]) but it dosen't seem to work.
I have creadted a form with a combo box that has 3 dates in it: February 1, 2005, September 1, 2004 and June 4, 2004.
Is there a way to display in another field on the form(A text field) when one of these dates is selected from the combo box, a text field returns "DATED ON THIS FIRST DAY OF FEBRUARY TWO THOUSAND FIVE"?
I reckon this is a vb issue and any help is appreciated.
I am trying to write some VBA to convert a date into a week number.
My work colleagues do not not what system is used to define the week numbers. So I have gone through all their records for a few years and deciphered this pattern:
I need the code to define that there are 52 weeks in a year. The last sunday of Dec is the beginning of Week 1 for the following year. Except when it is a leap year where Week 53 exists. otherwise it only goes up to week 52.
Start day for the week is Sunday. End day is the Saturday.
Some examples to check against:
22nd December 2013 = Week 52 2013
29th December 2013 = Week 1 for 2014 ----
21st December 2014 = Week 52 for 2014
28th December 2014 = Week 1 for 2015 ----
20th December 2015 = Week 52 for 2015
27th December 2015 = Week 1 for 2016 ----
25th December 2016 = Week 53 for 2016
1st Jan 2017 = Week 1 for 2017 -----
Tried various methods already
iso 8601, wrong week start day
intWeek = DatePart("ww", datDate, vbSunday, vbFirstFourDays) Was right for 2013 but wrong for later dates.
- Assets - Shifts - Machine Offline Date - Machine Offline Time - Machine Online Date - Machine Online Time
Now I have 82 assets in the factory and 20% of those machines run 3 shifts. Each shift is 8 hrs. What I have already done is allocate shifts per asset e.g. when I pick Asset (a) in the Asset combo box, in the shift box it will automatically generate 2 or 3 dependant on what I have set.
If an asset runs for 2 shifts, it would mean that, that asset is operational/running from 0700 - 2300 or 7:00am - 11:PM also if an asset runs for 3 shifts it would mean that, that asset is operational/running from 0700 - 0700 or 7:00AM - 7:00AM
Scenario A: Machine (a) breaks down at 1700/5:00PM on the 10/7/15 and was back online at 12:30 on 11/7/15, This machine runs for 3 shifts which would mean in the "Breakdown Downtime" the result should be 19.5 hrs
Scenario B: Machine (b) breaks down at 1900/7:00PM on the 10/7/15 and was back online at 10:00AM on 12/7/15, this machine runs for 2 shifts which would mean in the "Breakdown Downtime" the result would be 23 hrs.
I would like to make this an automatic calculation, Is this possible?
I have a text field like, 11242010, and I need to be able to convert it into 3 int fields, day, month, year. I am trying to do this in a query and have create the following three;
DateD: IIf([DATE] Is Not Null,(CInt(Left(Right([DATE],6),2)))) DateM: IIf([DATE] Is Not Null,(CInt(Left([DATE],2)))) DateY: IIf([DATE] Is Not Null,(CInt(Right([DATE],4)))) Time: IIf([TIME] Is Not Null,[TIME])
When I have a value of Null, i keep getting #Error, I think when it's null.
I have two tables that I want to append to each other. But in one of them the date column has the yyyymmdd format and in the other it is a serial date number. How can I make them consistent by either converting yyyymmdd to date number or by converting the date number to yyyymmdd?
I populate the table "date" field from a Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0(SP6). I havent been able to figure out how to ONLY populate the date portion of the control so my field value containes Date & Time.
When I run the query, I have to select the day after my request to include the records I need. I think this is because of the time in the field Example, If I want all records thru 6/17/2006 I must select "thru" 6/18/2006. This mucks things up if I have records dated 6/18/2006
Both of these statements give the same bad results:
Between [forms]![freports]![from] And [forms]![freports]![thru]
>=[forms]![freports]![from] And <=[forms]![freports]![thru]
As part of a larger issue, I am trying to figure out how to have an Access 2000 select query produce all dates in a date range into one field on the query. Assume at this point there are no tables in the query.
If 01/01/06 (mm/dd/yy) and 02/01/06 is used, then it'd list all the dates between those two, inclusive.
I have a query that pulls scores for this month only for each class member. Problem is, I only need a count of these scores (per person) and because the date is in the query, it doesn't group the scores together and count them as one. i.e. it sees score 1 and score 2 as separate because they have different dates so they won't count together.
The only purpose of date in this query is to filter out only this month's dates. Is there some advanced query expression something or other that will tell it to leave date out of the count and only use it to filter?
I'm trying to produce a query that shows all records of patients that have a 'non-active' status (stored in the 'Patient Details' table) and haven't had any deliveries after 31/10/2011 (date stored in the 'Deliveries' table). I've tried a few different ways including using NOT IN (which access didn't like!) but I'm still no closer to getting the correct records.
I am trying to create a simple database to keep track of employee Car Insurances and MOT information.I am trying to create a query that will show me the following:
When the field "motexpiry" is Empty OR has a date within 30 days from todays date (including if today's date is in the field) OR the date is in the past.It also needs to show records with the same criteria for the field "insuranceexpiry".
And needs to show records where the field "cowensform" is blank. These are all OR queries, so that as long as ONE of all of those criteria is met, the record shows up.Once that query works, I need a very similar query but only showing records where one or more of those criteria is met, but only if the record also has "Oldham" in the "area" field.
I can then copy that query and edit the "Oldham" bit to have a query for each of our area offices.I tried putting "Oldham" in the criteria line of the area field in the query design, but it seemed to have no affect.
