I'm creating a query with VBA, then exporting it to Excel. I have a couple calculated date fields that are exporting in the format of dd-mmm-yy, but I want them in the mm/dd/yyyy format. In the query, they're in the proper format, but not in the export. I tried using Format([DateField],"mm/dd/yyyy"), but then they left align in the export, but are fine in the query.
I have a CSV file and want to convert it in a text format with some filtered data and with some formatting. This is an everyday task for me. So I made a table and imported the data in to it by the command :
Actually I have a column "SERIES", contains various series like "EQ", "BE", "DR", "BZ", "D1" and so on. And one more column with the dates having 4 / 5 current months dates and one next months date and one next to next month's date. And every date has got several thousand records.
now the issue is that : After importing these several thousand records, I want to export it but with a specific date and with a specific series.
The other thing is that, these dates change every month so if hard coded, the problem will occur the next month.
this code is working fine but when the month will change, the code won't work.
Can we have a date & series picker attached to this query, so it can export the records with the specified SERIES & DATE.
I tried putting a textbox on the form named TxtDate and in a Query ( Design mode ) under the date column, in criteria I have put [Forms]![Futures]![TxtDate] and after putting this line, the query becomes empty and no data is there.
I have a simple and small database having only one table. I want the data table to be exported in a spreadsheet format automatically at the end of the month. Is there any code or function to do that?
I currently have a query pulling data from a database - I need to now export the data to a text file to import it into a different database. I need the format to be like below. Wondering how I can tell the query to go to the second line and then the third line like below.
I have a Query derived from a single Table in Access 2010 which I routinely export in spreadsheet format.
I have now built a report from the Query in which has labels have been added to suit an external agency. I wish to export this Report in Excel format, but the resulting file does not include the additional labels and is merely an xls version of the underlying query.
Is there an alternative method of achieving what I need?
I have a crosstab queries which uses the date query parameters. However, when I go to my Export command (code is below), it ask me to enter the date parameters (start date and end date) twice. What do I have to do so that the system will ask me to enter once only?
Code: On Error GoTo Err_cmdTest_Click 'Must 1st set a Reference to the Microsoft Office XX.X Object Library Dim dlgOpen As FileDialog Dim strExportPath As String Const conOBJECT_TO_EXPORT As String = "qryEXPORT"
I have a date and time stamp in a Date/Time field of General Date format (3/1/2006 7:52:25 AM).
I wish to select query on the table's Date/Time field by date portion only (3/1/2006) and not include the time portion (7:52:25 AM) of the field.
Using this expression in the query's criteria - "Between [Enter Start Date: (MM/DD/YY Format)] And [End Date: (MM/DD/YY]" will not return the date ranges as desired without also typing in the full time string.
How can the date integer be parsed out and the query properly expression ed on the criteria field without using VB?
I need to convert the date format October 10th, 2013 to 10/01/2013 in a field using sql in access 2010,I know it has to be an update query but dont know how to start writing the query.
I have a query which pulls up results based on the value of a text box. All works well except one field has a DOB (date) and if I search say for " /1976" I get no results, however search /76 and all the people with that year of birth show then show up. The date is stored in the dd/mm/yyyy format.
I'm using the like [forms]![clients]![searchfield] in the criteria of the query to bring up results.
condition formatting a date field in access. The query used for this field produces a date or "NA" based on the formula below. so when the date shows up as "NA" then i have set the condition formatting of the cell to grey and this works works well. but when it shows up with a date it doesnt format to a grey.the formatting pane has these two expressions
1. Q_Induction_Date = "NA" then grey the cell
2. Q_Induction_Date < DATE() then grey the cell and this DOESNT work. i have also tried the function Now() and that doesnt work either.
I'm using Access 2003 connecting through ODBC. I'm trying to set up an automated query to grab today's data. normally it's pretty easy, all you'd have to do is enter date() in the criteria in an access query. Unfortunately, the date in my database (i can't change this) is in an odd format.
example: april 1st, 2013 = 1130401
Every single date always has that preceding "1" in front of it, then the year, then the month, and finally the day.
I want to always specify the current date whenever the query is run (without having to type it in)
Someone decided to be clever and send a text file with a stupid date format, is it possible to show off a little here and get a working date format, it's a text file I am working with: Dec 18 2014 01:12PM.
Not that is an exactly cut/paste so spaces are as they are here, ideally would like to get 18/12/14 13:12.
I have a link table that has a field that represents dates - but they are actually just text. It's a long story but the source is not going to change - so I have to try and deal with it. I need it to behave as a date - and am hoping to do this in a query. The data looks like this:
7/24/12 10/08/13
I have tried various things but it does not seem to totally do the trick - if I sort on it it still does not sort as one would expect from an actual date field. How do I do this?
SELECT * FROM Orders WHERE OrderDate Between #4-9-2006# And #4-10-2006#
I expect rows with OrderDate = 5-9-2006 to be returned, however they are not. Apparently the date formats are interpretted as mm-dd-yyyy instead of dd-mm-yyyy.
Can I set the default date format or is there another solution?
In my BookingTable I have a StartDate (Format: "dd/mm/yyyy"). For every start date there is a CostOfBooking field also in the query. I want to show a list of all the current StartDates that occur in this month of this year and the cost of that booking. How can this be done?
I have a query in which I am pulling from another table. On the table I have a field called Tag, which consists of data in the form of a combo date/place. Ex) 29OCT7NY date = 10/29/2007; place = NY
When I call on the Tag field in my query, I only want the date portion. So, I used the Left function... Left([Tag],6). But I also want to format the date portion so it is always in the form 10/29/2007 in my query. I tried Format(Left([Tag],6), mm/dd/yyyy) but it did not work. I think it has something to do with the weird form of the Tag field "ddmmmy".
If anyone could help, it would be much appreciated.
I have set the Left([DSERDBA_RECEIPTS].[RCTH_RECEIPT_NO],8) AS [DISTRIBUTION DT] field property to Short Date, 99/99/0000;0;_ . When I run the query I get that field formated as a short date, but when I try to create a table from the same query the data returned is no longer in the date format. Is there something I can do to have the make table results look like what I get when I just run the query without creating a table?
SELECT DSERDBA_RECEIPTS.RCTH_ID_CASE AS [CASE], DSERDBA_RECEIPTS.RCTH_DT_RECEIPT AS [DT RCTH], Left([DSERDBA_RECEIPTS].[RCTH_RECEIPT_NO],8) AS [DISTRIBUTION DT], DSERDBA_DISBURSEMENTS.DSB_DT_DISBURSE INTO [TABLE 1]
FROM [UNIVERSE OF CASES] INNER JOIN (DSERDBA_RECEIPTS INNER JOIN DSERDBA_DISBURSEMENTS ON DSERDBA_RECEIPTS.RCTH_RECEIPT_NO = DSERDBA_DISBURSEMENTS.DSB_RECEIPT_NO) ON [UNIVERSE OF CASES].STAT_CASE_ID = DSERDBA_RECEIPTS.RCTH_ID_CASE
WHERE (((DSERDBA_RECEIPTS.RCTH_ID_CASE)="20028570P"));
I am trying to create a crosstab query that counts the number of events that have been logged for each day of the month. The event date is stored in an ODBC compliant database in date/time format. Unfortunately, the crosstab query counts the number of events for each date/time occurrence.
I have tried entering the following expression in the Field: definition with no success (no records are returned when the query finishes executing):
