Hi all,Desperate for help on this.The query below ran like a charm for this years database which was full of entries, but when I did a quick test run for next year with limited entries the 'Temp' table fields were all blanked. All the individual queries, 1 through 9, work fine on their own and work fine in this linked form when there is enough data in the database to cover all the fields. Apparently if only one query is blank all the fields will be blank.For instance if there are multiple registered households, table ‘1’ would normally show a count of those households, but if none of those households have children, table '2' which counts children will be blank and in turn blank out all the rest of the fields including table ‘1’.I've tried the ‘is null, '=0" and ‘nz’ routines on the Count(Tablename.Fieldname)'s, but can't seem ‘to get them to output a value of 0 in the null fields. I must be doing something wrong. Any and all help would be very much appreciated.SELECT Year(Now()) AS ProjectYear, [1].CountOfClaimID AS Households, [2].CountOfPersonID AS Children, [3].CountOfPersonID AS Participants, [4].CountOfSponsorID AS SponsorsTotal, [5].CountOfHouseholdID AS Sponsored,[6].FamiliesWithChildren, [7].SponsoredFood, [8].SponsoredGifts, [9].SDSD INTO TempFROM (SELECT Count(Household.ClaimID) AS CountOfClaimID FROM Household GROUP BY Household.RegStatus HAVING (((Household.RegStatus)=-1))) AS 1, (SELECT Count(Members.PersonID) AS CountOfPersonID FROM Household INNER JOIN Members ON Household.HouseholdID = Members.HouseholdID GROUP BY Household.RegStatus, Members.Status HAVING (((Household.RegStatus)=-1) AND ((Members.Status) = "Child" ))) AS 2, (SELECT Count(Members.PersonID) AS CountOfPersonID FROM Household INNER JOIN Members ON Household.HouseholdID = Members.HouseholdID GROUP BY Household.RegStatus HAVING (((Household.RegStatus)=-1))) AS 3, (SELECT Count(Sponsors.SponsorID) AS CountOfSponsorID FROM Sponsors GROUP BY Sponsors.SponsorStatus HAVING (((Sponsors.SponsorStatus)=-1))) AS 4, (SELECT Count(Sponsorship.HouseholdID) AS CountOfHouseholdID FROM Sponsors INNER JOIN Sponsorship ON Sponsors.SponsorID = Sponsorship.SponsorID GROUP BY Sponsors.SponsorStatus, Sponsorship.SponsorshipYear HAVING (((Sponsors.SponsorStatus)=-1) AND ((Sponsorship.SponsorshipYear)=Year(Now())))) AS 5,(SELECT Count([Table0].HouseholdID) AS FamiliesWithChildrenFROM (SELECT Households_All.HouseholdID, IIf([Children]>0,1,2) AS FamChildrenFROM Households_AllGROUP BY Households_All.HouseholdID, Households_All.ChildrenHAVING (((IIf([Children]>0,1,2))=1))) as Table0) AS 6,(SELECT DISTINCT Count(Household.HouseholdID) AS SponsoredFoodFROM Household INNER JOIN Sponsorship ON Household.HouseholdID = Sponsorship.HouseholdIDGROUP BY Household.RegStatus, Sponsorship.SponsorshipYear, Sponsorship.FoodHAVING (((Household.RegStatus)=-1) AND ((Sponsorship.SponsorshipYear)=Year(Now())) AND ((Sponsorship.Food)=-1))) AS 7,(SELECT DISTINCT Count([Household].[HouseholdID]) AS SponsoredGiftsFROM (Household INNER JOIN Sponsorship ON [Household].[HouseholdID]=[Sponsorship].[HouseholdID]) INNER JOIN (SELECT Households_All.HouseholdID, IIf([Children]>0,1,2) AS FamChildrenFROM Households_AllGROUP BY Households_All.HouseholdID, Households_All.ChildrenHAVING (((IIf([Children]>0,1,2))=1))) as Table0 ON [Household].[HouseholdID]=[Table0].[HouseholdID]GROUP BY [Household].[RegStatus], [Sponsorship].[SponsorshipYear], [Sponsorship].[Gifts]HAVING (((Household.RegStatus)=-1) AND ((Sponsorship.SponsorshipYear)=Year(Now())) AND ((Sponsorship.Gifts)=-1))) as 8,(SELECT DISTINCT Count(Household.HouseholdID) AS SDSDFROM HouseholdGROUP BY Household.RegStatus, Household.SDSDHAVING (((Household.RegStatus)=-1) AND ((Household.SDSD)=-1))) as 9; Thanks much,aldo

I can't get my reports' unbound field's to display the criteria parameter I enter when report is opened. I have done this before but not in Access 2010.
In my parameter, I do have a long string inside the brackets (e.g. =[Enter START Date "1/1/14" or Leave Ranges Blank to show ALL]). I am wondering if this or the quotes inside the brackets are causing it not to work.

I am using MS Access 2007.
I would like to display a report based on the table called "expenses", filtered by:
- "from" (datefrom field) and "to" (dateto field) date on "payment date" field;
- multiple criteria on same field called "payment method" (I would like to include only payment methods "check" and "credit card", but not the other payment methods in the field, such as "cash", "transfer", etc.)
For that end I made a query based on the table "expenses", and in the "payment date", in the criteria field, I entered:
between [form]![formname]![datefrom] and [form]![formname]![dateto]
This works fine so far, however when I attempt to add multiple criteria on the "payment method" field, it does not filter accurately any longer. In the same row of the criteria field where I completed the date criteria, I enter "check". In the next row, same field, I enter "credit card".
Since it doesn't work, I tried putting both arguments in the same line as the date criteria (always in the payment method field) as: "check" and "credit card" but still does not work (now it filters the payment method correctly, but the dates filter appear as if I have never completed them).

I have two date fields in a table. I need to find the days between these dates and, if its greater than 7 days, I want to display the record in a report, so far, I have found a hand function that allows me to enter two dates and it returns a long data value representing the number of days in between the two dates. (google "I've developed the following code to count the business days between 2 dates." and its the second one that starts as SOLVED I made no mods to it as it does what i need it to do.
So, i added this to its own module within the data base for use within a query. My test query basically displays the unique ID, the start date and the end date and then displays the values returned from the function. here is the SQL:
SELECT [Main Table].[Unique ID], [Main Table].[Start date], [Main Table].[End Date], (Business_Days_Between([End Date],[Start date])) AS [Days between]
FROM [Main Table]
WHERE ((([Main Table].[Start date]) Is Not Null) AND (([Main Table].[End Date]) Is Not Null));
When ran, this Query works... However, when I enter a criteria like =2 or > 7, it says data type mismatch. I have even attempted the CInt() function to make sure its formated as int but i continue to get the same error.

I want to combine six different memo fields into one. I found this code and it works to combine two fields so I edited to add a third and it does not do anything.
Code:
Comments: [QAComments1] & IIf(IsNull([QAComments2]),"","; " & [QAComments2])
This is my edited code to add a third field:
Code:
Comments: [QAComments1] & IIf(IsNull([QAComments2]),"","; " & [QAComments2] & IIf(IsNull([QAComments3]),"","; " & [QAComments3]))
What am I missing to add the other fields?

HI there,
This sounds simple, but I'm not sure what the coding is in SQL. Perhaps someone can help..
I have a query which has criteria set by a form.
The First sorts the data in the query by SalesPerson from the selection made in a Forms combo box.
The second sets the date the query filter starts at and finishes.
So far so good.
However, I have an entry in the combo box for "ALL" sales people so that the user can see all the results for all sales people.
SELECT tblSalesinfo.Sales_reference_autoID, tblSalesinfo.CustomerID, tblSalesinfo.Completed, tblSalesinfo.[Sales CO], tblSalesinfo.Date, tblSalesinfo.Cust_Ref, tblSalesinfo.Customer_Name, tblSalesinfo.Description, tblSalesinfo.CTN, tblSalesinfo.Sold_£_Phone, tblSalesinfo.Sold_£_Accessories, tblSalesinfo.Sold_£_Other, tblSalesinfo.Labour_£_Charge, tblSalesinfo.Total_Sales, tblSalesinfo.Invoice_Number, tblSalesinfo.Delivery_Note, tblSalesinfo.Tariff, tblSalesinfo.Commission_due_amount, tblSalesinfo.Other_value, tblSalesinfo.Total_deal_Value, tblSalesinfo.Cost_A, tblSalesinfo.Cost_B, tblSalesinfo.Cost_C, tblSalesinfo.Cost_D, tblSalesinfo.Total_Cost, tblSalesinfo.Total_Deal_Balance, tblSalesinfo.[Margin%], tblSalesinfo.Sales_Commission_Due, tblSalesinfo.[Recovered Stock]
FROM tblSalespersons INNER JOIN tblSalesinfo ON tblSalespersons.SalesID = tblSalesinfo.[Sales CO]
WHERE (((tblSalesinfo.[Sales CO])=[Forms]![frmDisplayResults]![SalesCO]) AND ((tblSalesinfo.Date) Between [Forms]![frmDisplayResults]![StartDate] And [Forms]![frmDisplayResults]![EndDate]));
Can someone help with the code to say that if [SalesCO] = "ALL" it does not filter the results by Salesperson and shows the query for the date range only.
Many thanks!

Code for displaying the Word Print dialogue box instead of sending it straight to the printer.
I have the following code:
'Open Word
Set objWord = New Word.Application
'Letter document would be open
Set objletter = objWord.Documents.Open(strletterpath & strworddoc)
objletter.MailMerge.OpenDataSource (strletterpath & strletterfile)
objletter.MailMerge.Destination = wdSendToPrinter 'normally print
Dialogs(wdDialogFilePrint).Show
objletter.MailMerge.Execute
'not normally here
'objWord.Visible = True
This is to produce a mailmerge based upon a query.
Previously on Access 2000 and Word 2000 it would display the print dialogue box, but I am trying to upgrade it all to 2013 and this does not do it now with Access 2013 and Word 2013.

Hi all,
I am designing a database that is completely input driven. This is my first database so because of the reliance on the user to populate everything it has been rather confusing.
I have a query that I have set up that uses 3 selections, 2 from a combo box, and one from a text box to populate 3 distinct fields. In this case its a Plant #, a Material #, and a Version # (version corresponds to another report that this tool will serve as an input towards). After these are populated, the user will be manually inputing information for 24 versions after the current version.
My question is how can I go about referencing what I have in the Version # on the query, or the combo box for that matter?? I need to reference the current version selected than have it display only versions 2 years out.
fyi - I have a table with 5 years worth of versions(technically months) in my main table. Could I reference those?
Also, would it be easier to include every single version that I already have stored and just filter for the 2 years out??
Thanks for the help

Hi there,
I was wondering when I am filtering out data from a table, is there a way for me to filter out specific lines (as in, if I have a 100 line datasheet, can i choose to filter out lines 5, 10 and 20 out of the query)?
For instance:
Line Name Address Phone Number
1 A1 fjlafs 453453454
3 A2 fsdfsd 343534534
4 A3 gsdgsdg 354543534
5 A4 gsdgsdgsd 345345345
I want to make it so that lines 2 and 4 are NOT included in the query when I click "RUN".
Thanks in advance!

I have a list box on a form which uses the following SQL to pull the list items from a table :
SELECT DISTINCT tblMyTable.MyField FROM tblMyTable ORDER BY tblMyTable.MyField;
For some reason, during testing, the first two items on the list are blanks. I am quite happy for one blank to be returned at the top of the list (as this would easily identify for the user any records for which this field has not yet been completed, which is a good thing) but I can't understand why it would appear twice?
Why doesn't the DISTINCT command ensure any blank entries only appear once?
Incidentally, I have a subform which populates on the back of selections from the list boxes, so I can quickly see the corresponding records which generate these blanks. What's puzzling me is that the same records show for both blanks on the list - suggesting it is the same value repeating itself (and not, say, "" vs " ", for example, which was what I originally suspected...)

I have a two combo boxes that I want to use to help filter a query. The field the combo boxes need to filter is a numeric field with values that range anywhere from 200 to 1.5 million. To make the filtering easier I set the combo box up to several values (RowSource = Value List) that will serve as a range.
It seems that the query is not recognizing the values selected in the combo box. The numbers appear after being selected, but the query is not affected by the selection. However, When I enter a number NOT on the list (like 428) the query recognizes the value.
How can I get the query to recognize the Value List entries on the combo box?

I have a combo box which queries a table and then stores said tables primary key field in a field for my main table. The table queried has two fields; one for the primary key and the other for the string, such as "chris".
My problem is when I run new query from the main table it shows the bound column, which is the primary key, instead of the string column which would display my name. I can't figure out if there is code that I should deposit in the criteria field that would tell the query to display the name field (ala "Chris") instead of the bound column field (ala primary key).
Do I need to add something to the criteria field or run an expression that says display column 1 instead of column 0 in your quey?

I have an access database in which I have a table A and table B. Table A has a list of 200 website URLs. Table B has one column ID and another criteria.
I want to create a query to filter websites list which does not have values or characters from table b.
I have these values in table B that I want to be filtered out or not shown in my URL Select Query
.org
.gov
.du
.pk
.dk
I would keep on adding more criteria into this so criteria table so adding new criteria into table B should not disturb our filtering.
Below is what I have tried but in vain and it says atmost you can atmost one criteria row in sub query
SELECT tableA.WEB_ADDRESS

WHERE ((([tableA].[wEB_ADDRESS] Not Like '*'+(SELECT * FROM tableB)+'*')=True));

I have a form that is showing data from 1 table. That table has 12 different fields on it and I want to be able to filter based on selections I make in a combo box in the header of the form. The filter string must be dynamic enough to allow filtering based on 1 criteria selected, or multiple criteria selected. For example:
If I have values in filter fields 3, 5, and 9 I'd want the filter string to be created as follows:
"...WHERE field3 = field3filter.value AND field5 = field5filter.value AND field9 = field9filter.value"
If I have values in only field 7, I'd want th efilter string to be created as follows:
"...WHERE field7 = field7filter.value"
And so on and so on.
I have created some filters before but all of the different VBA syntaxes I'm using seem to come up short.

For Example, if in Data:
The color is Blue Team auto-fills with Team One Captain auto-fills with Chris
The color is Green Team auto-fills with Team Two Captain auto-fills with Juli
The color is Tan Team auto-fills with Team Three Captain auto-fills with David
All of the values for the auto-fill are on (tblList) in separate columns:
Color Team Captain
Blue One Chris
