writing a query to grab the Fiscal period based on my Fiscal Calendar table. I need to create Month, Fiscal Year, Qtr, and Period columns to match with the dates from the Calendar Table based on the data in the Purchase Orders Summary.
I have attached the database with the calendar and the data set that I am suppose to match it to.how/where to link the two tables together in a query,
Product (Table PDZRN1) Whse (Table PDZRN1) Description (Table PDZRN1) On Hand (Table PDZRN1) Unit Cost (Table PDZRN1) Unit Price (Table PDZRN1) LastDate: Date (Table Sales_History) (using the Max function)
Where I am stuck is I want 4 additional columns to pull the last 3 fiscal years and total sales for each Product for the 3 previous fiscal years. The Field with sales amount is "Sales" it is located in Table "Sales_History", and the dates for the invoices are in the field "Date". I tried the following query, but I'm sure it didn't work because I failed to push the data back to the date field:
Field - FY2013Sales: Sales Table - Sales_History Total - Sum Criteria - <= 04/01/2012 and <= 03/31/2013
how to link my criteria back to the "Date" field, or if I'm even going down the write path.
I am trying to create a running total query that aggregates project funding by fiscal year. The fiscal year is calculated based on a date time field that is never null. The totals field comes from 2 different number fields that are either 0 or > 0. The query is going to be linked to by Excel, so I have to do the running total in the query itself, vs. a report.It is close to working, except that it is not totalling the first fiscal year. The output surrently looks like this:
As you can see, the first row for FY 2010 is blank. I know there is data there, as this query is fed by a subquery that selects these rows based on contract signed date. Below is the SQL of each query:
Code: SELECT Year([DateContractSigned])-IIf([DateContractSigned]<DateSerial(Year([DateContractSigned]),4,1),1,0)+1 AS FYearExport FROM tblProject GROUP BY Year([DateContractSigned])-IIf([DateContractSigned]<DateSerial(Year([DateContractSigned]),4,1),1,0)+1, tblProject.ProjID, tblProject.FPAccepted HAVING (((tblProject.FPAccepted)=True));
If my fiscal year ends 12/31 but the pay period doesn't end until 1/10, how do I get a query to tell me there are 25.3 pay periods remaining (counting from the last pay period 1/11)?
So far, in my query, I have a column for Quarters and under the field of that column I have put a statement:
Quarter: IIf(Month([VisitDate]) In (4,5,6),"1",IIf(Month([VisitDate]) In (7,8,9),"2",IIf(Month([VisitDate]) In (10,11,12),"3","4")))
The statement works fine but the problem is it does not tell me which year of does that quarter belongs to. Example: whether it is Quarter 1 of 1999 or Quarter 1 of 2000. Right now it only output either 1 or 2 or 3 or 4.Therefore, is there a way where I can command to give me an output like "Quarter 1, 1999", "Quarter 2, 1999", "Quarter, 1, 2000". Basically with respect to the Year that I have in my data?
I want to build a query that calculates the fiscal year and the month from a date on-the-fly. I tried to do it in VBA, but it's more complicated than in query I guess. So this is my table:
The date is on the left, in the middle I want to have calculated Jan 14 and on the right I want 14/15.
In VBA I started with this: strMonth = MonthName(Month(A), True) & " " & Format(A, "YY") which gave me "Jan 08". But the date was hard-coded and not from my table. Then I tried to store the information by SQL statement into a string. But this also didn't work, the types were different.
Code: UPDATE tblSAPOD SET sapOD_month = Year([sapOD_OrderDate])-IIf([sapOD_OrderDate]< DateSerial(Year([sapOD_OrderDate]),6,16),1,0) WHERE sapOD_OrderDate Like "*/*/94";
.. but I guess it's wrong, it gives me a syntax error.
How do you grab a custom Fiscal Year's values based on the system clock's date?
I am building a query where I want to see the number of closed cases based on the current custom fiscal year with the system clocks date. The report that it feeds only cares about the current FY.
I need the System Clock's FY value in this query
Code: SELECT shortname AS Station, NZ(TotalCount.TotalCases,0) AS [Cases Complete] FROM StationList LEFT JOIN (SELECT station, count([Open Issues].ID) AS TotalCases FROM [Open Issues] WHERE [Status]="Closed" GROUP BY Station) AS TotalCount ON StationList.shortname =TotalCount.station;
Within the Query Open Issues I have the FY broken up
I have a database that tracks call-monitoring scores for call center employees. They are given a bonus based on their scores which is calculated every pay-period. The following attachment is what I need the query to show. Or perhaps an excel document linked to the database. Just wondering if you all could take a look at this and tell me what the easiest method would be. Also, what would be involved. My major concern is the query being able to differentiate the different fiscal weeks and or payperiods.
Could the pop-up calendar, launch by a command button from a switchboard be used to change dates [beginning date - ending date] for a query to retrive records for a specific period with the other criteria in the query remaining the same.
In the query to get date field to compare to paid date for that customer...
Now for list unpaid date I have all the customer who has date after today so I think about criteria >date() but I have all customer that have date before today and after today...
I need a new calculated filed with date in calendar checkbox to determinate the oldest date, do you have a better formula then this?
I am trying to find out if there is a way for me to create a table based on a specific month. For example I might select January 2005, I would then want to create a table with all the days of that month included, so that I could then add specific data to each day.
Is there a way that I can simply query the system calendar to do this sort of thing. I have spent quite a lot of time searching through this forum but have had no luck.
I've creating an Access project, which is at an early stage. I'm using Access 2003 with a default file format set to Access 2000.
I've been trying to update a date field within a table using this piece of code from a Calendar form. The Calendar form has a Command Button called cmd_Accept. Its sub routine is shown below. Both variables, dt (date) and fvr_id (field visit report ID) are global.
The code works - too well! Instead of updating the only the target record, it will either update the first record plus the target record or all records with the same date and I cannot understand why this should happen.
[Field Visit Report ID] is unique, being the primary key for the table, tbl_field_visit. It is AutoNumber generated. I've double-checked the table and all entries in [Field Visit Report ID] are unique. All my MsgBOX displays show what I would expect to see.
As you can see, I've also tried doing the same task using SQL - with exactly the same result.
I've been going round and round with this for days. Should I bin this and go down another route, or can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong?
Any help much appreciated.
Private Sub cmd_Accept_Click()
Dim dbs As Database, rst As Recordset Dim strSQL As String

I have a form bound to a table that has a bunch of dates in it. What I want to do, is to be able to have pop-up calendars on the form next to each date field, where the user can select dates from the calendar, then have those dates display on the form, and last but not least, update the date fields in the table.
At the moment, the form I'm working with let's me pick dates from little pop-ups and display the dates, but when I exit the form and then come back into it, the dates are gone! In other words, I'm missing something in the process between the dates displaying onthe form and the dates getting into my table.
If anyone has an idea as to what I might be doing wrong, I wouldappreciate your ideas and suggestions.
Thanks in advance. I don't know where I'd be without this forum!
I'm totaly new to access and outlook applications etc.. What I'm trying to do is link an access table to my calendar in outlook. I can do it but there is one problem it is not importing all the fields. But when I do an export from outlook to access database file all the fields are there.
Can someone help me with this issue?
P.S. I'm using outlook 2003 and connecting to exchange 2002.
I created a call logging/work tracking type Database using SharePoint 2007 lists for the backend and Access 2013 front end for about 60 users and it has been running smoothly for around two years .
We use a shared outlook calendar and I want to be able to pull meetings & appointment information into the database from the calendar so I can assign the meetings out to specific people and keep of a record that they where given the request to attend. I was able to use the import outlook folder to create a linked table and it has lots of great information from the calendar apart from the two most important things you need in a calendar Start_time & End_Time . Is there something I'm missing in regards to these two fields? I assume I'm doing something wrong but I can't figure out what, nor did I have much luck with the Search function on here or google.
This is the list of field names it does import(everything apart from the meeting time and is it a recurring appointment) Importance Icon Priority Subject From Message To Me Message CC to Me Sender Name CC To Received Message Size Contents Created Modified Subject Prefix Has Attachments Normalized Subject Object Type Content Unread
so the Army uses a fiscal year 1 Oct thru 30 Sep I have a report that needs to be run every quarter. i curently have my a field formated as [date],"q/yyyy" wich givs me april in the 2nd quarter for me April is in the 3rd quarter. any ideas?
i got a problem with the calendar controller (access 2003) I need the calendar0.value into a query so when i click on a date a form or rapport opens with the info that is on that spesific date, is this possibel?
Function GetFiscalYear(ByVal x As Variant) If x < DateSerial(Year(x), FMonthStart, FDayStart) Then GetFiscalYear = Year(x) - FYearOffset - 1 Else GetFiscalYear = Year(x) - FYearOffset End If End Function
I call on the function in my query to determine the FiscalYear for a date. Expr1: GetFiscalYear([ProdDate])
It sends back the correct Fiscal Year. However, when I try to put criteria in for Expr1 to show only Fiscal Year 2007 instead of all fiscal years, it gives me a data mismatch type error.
The [ProdDate] has the following formula: Prod_Date: IIf([40Day]="True",DateAdd("d",-40,[Date Code]),DateAdd("d",-50,[Date Code])) where [40Day] returns True or False to determine if I should subtract 40 or 50 days from the Date Code. The Date Code is in the format ##/##/#### and is sometimes null.
I have tried everything I could think of and am completely stumped. Thanks in advance for any help!!!
I want to be able to click on the date in a calendar control and the jobs scheduled for that day appear on the screen. Is this possible and how would I go about this. I created a query to pull the information I need and I attached that query to a form, I then placed the calendar control the form but I am unable to get the control to pull the data.
I have a table that is basically a survey form. The same series of options was available for 35 questions, and the table used to have a text string written for each answer. Because of all the repetitive data, I created a second table that assigned a number value to each of the nine possible options in these 35 separate fields. What happened is that, instead of the same text strings repeated over and over (and taking up real estate), now each of the 35 columns had a single number in them.
Now comes the day of reckoning and TPTB want a query with the raw data and the original text strings back in instead of the numbers. I was thinking doing something along the lines of a DLookup, but I can't seem to make that work in a query correctly. Apart from calling the same table and linking it over and over to the different fields in the original data table (see photo for how insane that is).
