Queries :: Insert Into Subtable For Each Record In Main Table

I have a sub table that acts as a revision history for the items in my main table. I've just finished uploading all the records into the main table and now I want to insert one record into the subtable for each record in the main table to start the history with the record creation.
The sub table looks like this:
tblRevisions
- RevID (auto Number / primary Key)
- RevDate (date of revision)
- RevName (Who made the revision)
- RevDesc (What revision was made)
- RevAuthorized (Who authorized the revision)
- RevLabel (Foreign key to the primary table)
The info I want to insert is:
RevID - Auto Number
RevDate - 11/27/2013
RevName - 3
RevDesc - "Added Label to database"
RevAuthorized - 1
RevLabel - (One for each record ID in tblLabels)
I suspect that I want to start with an insert into statement, something along the lines of:

I'm not sure how to indicate that there should be one label for each Record in tblLabels or that revLabel value should match the ID from tblLabels though.
I have a form with a sub form. when a record is choosen in a combo box the sub form is filled out with a record.
what I am trying to do is have a button that will copy that record to a history table then delete it off the the main table.
I cheated by using the wizard to get the code to delete the record but I am having troubles modifying the code to copy that record to the history table. Here is the code below. I have tried to insert code in several places but it just errors out.

In my VBA code, i am trying to move some table records from table1 to table2. Both table1 and table2 has exact structures.
In the INSERT statement for table2, what is the easy way to insert a record from table1? I am trying to avoid having to specify each field name in the INSERT statement. Because, i have 100 fields in table.
Is there a way to INSERT a particular record from table1 to table2 without having to specify field names in the INSERT statement like in below example?
I'm trying to create a capacity report for my database. Originally, I only had the one table, which summed the number of Packs and number of Images, worked out percentage capacity used and then put it in a report, showing for each week of the year. However since then, I've added a child table to this, allowing me to create subrecords. The reason we did this was so we could easily group together multiple mailings under one single master record, so to speak.
Going back to the capacity, I've managed to work it so the Pack capacity is worked out from the mailing quantity in the subrecord. However, the number of Images is only entered onto the Parent record. Now my capacity query is summing the same number of images as there are subrecords, where in reality I only want it to sum the Images in the main record. I know I could add an Images field to the child table and work it out the same way, but I'd rather not do that (because that's not how our business works).
So essentially the question is, how can I sum the Images from the parent table without repeating the sum and massively overexagerating the sum?
Here's a query that the bottom listview in the attached form i.e. a listview representing a table of calls(many) to fims (1 top listview)

When I run the thing...I get a dialog asking me for firm id.
I want to change this so when I move up and down the firms LV (top)... the bottom LV updates taking firm id from the top LV with focus.
The two records that I get the proplem on are not included here, but somehow they have been updated. I traced the access code, but I could see no reference to them that they were used for the update in either the form or any modules called.
Somehow up to a few weeks ago those two columns were updated.
Tracing the code and using the immediate window the user_name variable stores the login name corectly.
Hi folks, I have an Append Query (Insert Into...) that I use to insert values into a table from a form. But to have that tie into other tables I need to gather the Student_ID (primary key) that is autogenerated when the record is inserted. How do I do this? I want to store it in a public variable. I've done quite a bit of searching but nothing of any value has turned up. Please help.
What I have on button press: DoCmd.OpenQuery "Register Camp Students"
After that I need something to gather that newly inserted Student_ID and store it for later use. Please help!
I have a table of accounts and a table of rates. There is a one-to-many relationship between them (i.e. each account can have multiple rates, each with their own - unique - effective date)
I'm trying to build a query which will show me all of the accounts in the accounts table and the most recent rate (based on the effective date) for each of those accounts.
This is as far as I've gotten with the SQL :

But this can't work because the [LatestRate] subquery can only ever return one record (i.e. the most recent rate across all of the accounts)
I need the most recent rate for each of the accounts in the main query
(FYI - I use an outer join as it is possible for no rate to be available in the rates table for a given account, in which case I want to return the null value rather than omit the account from the resulting dataset...)
I'm tracking the holiday entitlement of a team of people. I use a query to work out how much unbooked holiday they have to take.
My problem is where I'm scheduling next year my query returns the names of those who have booked a holiday and their remaining entitelement. That's as it should be. However if someone hasn't yet booked any holidays then it simply doesn't display their record. I would like it to treat that record as zero and show the remaining entitlement as a full years entitlement.

The problem here is that the Sum of 2015 holiday is Null
If you want to use a "DoCmd.RunSQL "INSERT INTO" command to insert data in a table and the data to insert comes from a table and a form, could this be done in one pass?

I built an Append Query to take records of 'Leavers' from my Primary Table and add them to a Secondary Table named 'Leavers. This worked perfectly, but on reflection I determined that I needed to append a further column 'Notes' which exists in the Main Table but not in the Secondary Table.I amended the SQL statement as follows, but the query now fails stating that it doesn't recognize the field 'Notes'.
Does this mean that one would need to recreate a new Secondary Table to incorporate the additional field? I have attempted to edit the secondary table by merely adding the 'Notes' field but that doesn't seem to be possible.
I have a UNION of two SELECT queries. It works very well but I need the end-user to be able to modify the data so I am using INSERT INTO tablename. This will work for one query at a time but if I try to use the UNION it reports “Syntax error in FROM clause”. Can you use UNION in this case or can anyone see my error?

I have a sub form with staff records on it within a main form. I am trying to allow the user to select a record from the sub form and add it to a table, here is my code which, to me, looks correct. However it gives me an error saying "Syntax error in INSERT INTO"

In my Access2000 db, I have a table, on which many different queries are based. Many forms are based on those queries. I want to delete some redundant fields from the table. I tried deleting one, but I found I could no longer open any of the associated queries and forms. Is there a simple way to delete table fields so that it doesn't stop me from opening associated queries and forms? (There are hundreds of them, and I have a lot of table fields that I want to delete).
How to take the results of query and copy them to a column in a table?
I am using sharepoint and ms access together, and Sharpoint in this instance will not reference the result of the query. I can only use table fields with Sharepoint...major pain....

I am trying to do is to make a for loop to insert multiple text fields in on table.
Depending on the counter (Zaehler) it should insert that representing text field. for example if Zeahler is 1 it should input whatever is inside the text field KVP_Kfm1 if its 2 then it should input the textfield KVP_Kfm2 and so on. here is the code that I'm trying to work but sadly it wont.I believe that the mistake is that my syntax is wrong but i cant figure out what is right.
