Queries :: Show Total Ordered For Week By Fish For Single Customer?

I need a report that show Total ordered for week by Fish for a single customer. I have customer table and OrderDetals table with order date. Shipping date Monday to Friday. When preview the report the it shows the current week Total order quantity for each fish for single customer. How do I get this.
I've created an access chart to show total sales ordered by customers.
I'm using a form with 5 comboboxes to select 5 particular customers from a customer table and pass this information into a query.
This query is then used on a report to create the graph.
Finally there is a button on my form that prints this report.
My problem is that the chart displays the customers in alphabetical order and I would like to order the customers numerically based on total sales value.
If I change my query so that the total sales order by is ascending then when I run the query from the report I am asked to enter a parameter value for the total sales field. Entering nothing and pressing ok simply returns the same graph I would have got had I not changed the order option at all.
*The customer filed in the report is set to group by and my totals field is set to sum - but I need both of these set to produce the graph.
I'm having problems creating a query for a database (which I am building as part of my university assignment).
The database is a simple ordering system style database, and contains the tables customer, order, order/product and product. I am trying to build a query that can identify customers who have not made an order during the previous week.
I have tried a criterion " <(now()) - 7 " but all this does is show old orders. I am completely stuck. Any help would be appriciated.
In case it is needed here is a list of fields in each of my tables:
Customer: Customer ID (PK) Company Name Company Street Address Company Town Company Region Company Postcode
Order: Order ID (PK) Order Taken By Date (DD/MM/YYYY) ( =now() ) Customer ID (FK) Delivery Street Address Delivery Town Delivery Region Delivery Postcode
Order/Product: Order ID (CK) Product ID (CK) Quantity Ordered
Product: Product ID (PK) Product Description Product Cost

I am running a query to some me total parts made between 2 dates. The dates are selected from a form with the query looking to this form to selected the date range.
When I run the query it shows me total parts made for each day. What i would like is a single total of parts between the range.
I've created a report based on a query that shows me the jobs that have been added to tblJobs between two selected dates.
The report works fine and displays all the information I need, however other than being sorted by day of the week i.e. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday etc. The records just run on one after another.
I want to create a page break, so that a full week is shown on a single page before then forcing a new page when it moves in to the next week.
I have a very simple query on an accounts form to show a running transaction history.
Identifying from the TransactionID (shown for display purposes only - normally hidden) three or four postings make up one transaction.
Using TransactionID 10 as an example, I'd like to have a sum of total [Credit]-[Debit] and have the query display on one line (either at the top of £1,429, or at the bottom of £16,995) to identify this is in fact one transaction, having three posts.
Transaction 9 will have obviously have one total, as this is a single post.
11 the same as 10, by having one total Transaction Value either at the top of the row or bottom.
I am trying to build a query to show the total sum of hours a staff member has done in a certain department and the amount of sleep ins they have done. Each staff member has a unique ID. In the query I can get all the information but it shows on two lines dependent on department. I want this to show on a single line. Each employee will never have more than two departments. The query is called "QryForForum".
Access Database in which i download the table from an Excel file.I am looking to create a query with certain criteria but did not have any luck recently.
1) I will need the query to show <Short code> that are only unquie to Korea.That means shortcode with a count of 1 belonging to Korea only.
2) I will need the query to show as a single line item <Shortcode> that appears two times under the country Korea. For example short code CB01406 is shown as two rows, i will like it to only show as a single row.
3) For all other shortcodes which exist in China as well as in Korea or China only. I will like them to be hidden in the query. That means not shown at all.
I've just made this query at work, it brings up the results from a database of telephone surveys. about going all gestapo on the table names and codes, I'm unsure as to how told off I could get for placing identifiable images on the internet

basically I would like to extend this query so it shows the sum of the "CountOfQ1 22" column and also shows what percentage of that total each entry in the "Q1 22" column is.
This will enable me to have results for the day sent to me at home every night at close of business as the person supervising the call centre at the time can run the query and email me the results.
I have a table with every invoice I have raised to my customers on it (160,000 records so far). Every record identifies the customer and the date of the invoice. I would like a query that returns details of the last 4 invoices raised to each customer based on the date of the invoice. So, if I have 100 customers I would expect 400 records returned. I have spent ages searching and reading the forums re this and have seen several post that I "think" are similar, but I think I'm too daft to understand the solutions put forward. I "think" this involves a module to count but as I have never written a module in my life am a bit confused. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
I have a database of high-school football players, and I am looking to print out single page reports (or forms) that will show detail from several tables and queries. This will act as their resume when they visit schools on recruiting visits. The reason for needing query items, is that I have developed queries that return the most up to date height, weight, 40 time etc., and that single most up to date number is what should print, not the entire table. When I try to build a report it will let me bring in multiple tables, but not queries.
Hi all, i have a query which will be used for reports, and only the last order placed by a customer is needed to be shown. Here's the table used in the query:-
So obviously for one customer there can be several orders, but i just want to show the latest one by the date field. I have tried grouping by the date field on both Last and Max, but with all the other fields from the table in the query (i need to have all the fields from the table for the report by the way) it still shows all the orders for a customer.
If i only include the customernumber field and dateofpurchase field and then group by date i have 4923 records, which is the correct amount, only one order per customer (the latest one) but adding any other fields to the query gives me the full 7000 odd orders (several per customer).
Any help would be much appreciated, many thanks in advance.
When I open one of my tables or queries and look at the customer Id, the displayed info is a single digit. On my customers table my primary key is the customer Id with auto number with the format like this: "ID"000. This is great however, when you look up the customer id in other tables it only displayes the single digit. I want it to show up like ID001 or ID002. In the customers tables it looks just like that, but if you click in that cell/field it takes away the ID and just shows the 001 or 002. I changed the format in my other tables under customer id to "ID000" but that didn't seem to make a difference. I would like to be able to do a search lets say by customer ID in one of my products table and when I type ID005 or ID012 it takes me to those records. But right now I would have to enter 5 or 12. Datatype in my other tables on field customer ID is set to text. Do I have to do a validation rule? How can I get it to show up the way I want it?
Dear All, I have a field named: “reminder date” in a query and would like to show only records where the reminder date is within the next week whenever the query is run (ie if todays date is 26th may 2006 and I run the query now It would only show records that include the following dates 27,28,29,30,31, july and 1,2 June)

I'm planning to create a form that would show total number of sales transaction per week: If today's month is February, i would like users to see records like this: (Week should start on a Monday and ends on Saturday)
How do I get the day of the week to show up on form? when I set the default in the table, I want it to read Fri. 8/29/14 not just (8/29/14) or what ever day that field has focus.
When using the Format:'yyyy mm dd' in access queries. When trying to show a week is there a way to show the date range instead of week number.
Week 01 = Jan1-7. If the results are only week numbers that makes it hard for people to understand when it actually is. Bottom line is: I would like to convert Week number to actual date range. Can anyone help with this?
I'm setting up a query which will eventually run as a report to show sales within a specific date period and so on.
In my table "tblJobs" I have a field named "JobInputDate" - this will act as my date source, everything else included within the query works fine, i.e. costs etc, etc.
The format of the date field is Short Date and the default value is the date the entry was made to the table, this obviously uses the =Date() expressing to generate the date.
Now, when I come to building my query I want the dates to be shown as a day of the week, so that when I eventually build my report, I can group them by day.
I've looked through the various threads on here which all point to using the Format([YourDateField],"dddd") format. However when I run the query I get the "Data mismatch" error.
I am trying to create a query that has a self referencing running total based on the values (point totals) of itself (running total of values in the running total column that have already been calculated for all previous records) plus the total of new points being added in the current record, less the total of points being removed in the current record. This running total can never go below 0, if it does, the running total should restart at zero and add in only new points and begin the process again with the next records
I am able to do this in Excel in less than two seconds so I know there has to be a way to port this into a query. I've attached an excel example of what I am exactly trying to do
If it takes multiple queries to complete the required output I am ok with it. In my previous outtakes I have had up to 8 queries but just couldn't seem to do it..
1) I am pretty newbie to this access programming, do forgive me if my questions sounds stupid.
2) Basically I create an application in access capturing or production information for my company. now the top management suddenly wanted whats their main concern:- Total Daily/Monthly, Quarterly, Annual Sales (By Model If possible)
3) I start with daily (Lets don't be too overly ambitious).
4) I try to let user select dates from my calender control and reflect daily sales (in Total & By Model break down) insert into my form.
5) Understand someone told me from my previous post in Calender control I can achieve it either through forms or queries, which is a better way. (in terms of flexibility to change for program maintenance/ scalibility) wise ?
