I have a query that returns a set of records which details stock items that are older than a date given in a form. However i need to limit the results to the number of items held in stock i.e say i want to look at stock over 1 year old, i get a list of all the stockids, and the date added. Say there is a stock level of 3 for a particular stockid the results should be limited to the first 3 records that are over 1 year old. Rather than the whole list of dates I get now.
Any help or direction with searching terms would be appreciated
possible to have an update query to only update 20 rows with a new data in the fields? And, how do I pass the information that I want to update only data from a certain date.If I have the word Cat and want to update it to Dog, but only with the dates 12-01-2014, where do I need to put the date part (also possible to do this for dates that are greater than 12-01-2014).
Now that the year has moved into 2014, the query below no longer works. It appears that it is not extending back into 2013.
Code:
Private Function multiDateClause(dateStartQry As String, dateEndQry As String, firstOp As String, secondOp As String) multiDateClause = dateClause(dateStartQry, firstOp) & " AND " & dateClause(dateEndQry, secondOp) End Function Private Sub b_last7_Click() Me.resultsFrame.SourceObject = "FollowUp_bystaff" Me.resultsFrame.Form.RecordSource = todoListQry(multiDateClause("Date()-6", "Date()", ">=", "<=")) End Sub
I have a shell of my database in the below link for reference. I am trying to create a query for a report that will allow me to track charges and payments per client. Each charge has a ChargeID and each payment has a PaymentID. Multiple payments can be applied to one charge so the same ChargeID can show up multiple times with a different PaymentID. Payments that are catagorized as Third Party Payments will have not only a PaymentID, but a TPPaymentID.
What I need to do in the query and final report is track the total charges (even though the ChargeID may show up multiple times, I only want the charge itself to be calculated once and the charge to only be listed once for each client) and track the total payments as well as sum the total payments for each charge for each client.
I have two tables. The first is called Drawing Register and contains the fields Drawing No (primary field) and Drawing Title. The second table is the Drawing Register Details table which contains the fields Drawing No (joined field - Drawing Register table), Revision, Revision Notes, Date Issued.
I have a query and report which will list all the revisions for each drawing. This is very important and useful. However I want a summary report which will only show the last revision for each drawing.
I copied the original query, turned on the Totals option and under the Date Issued field changed Group by to Max. However it is still returning all results for each drawing instead of only the last issue date for each drawing.
I have a form where someone enters a 'Job' to be done which in turn creates a record in a table with all this information
On the form I have a field called 'Repeat Frequency' where the user can choose how often they would like this 'Job' to repeat. e.g. Monthly
Then, on another form someone else can check what 'Jobs' should be done on that day
I have managed to get this to work fine using the DatePart function and it displays all jobs to be done that fall on the current day (e.g. if they choose to repeat it weekly, it will look for all entries where the datePart "d" [DateToBeDone] = Date()-7, -14, -21 and -28)
The problem is that i have been limited to the options of 'repeatability'
What i would like to do is change the options from 'Weekly', 'monthly' etc and instead have a field makrked "Repeat every so many days"
Is there a criteria i can use in a query where i can show records every so many days? i.e. if there is a job in the system that should repeat every 7 days and the [DateToBeDone] is set to 31/10/13, it would return this record on 07/11/13, 14/11/13, 21/11/13 and so on?
I Have tried DatePart ("d", [DateToBeDone]=DatePart ("d", (Date()-[RepeatDays] but what happens is it only shows it if the day is that many number of days in the past and not multiples as i said above.
I have a query which shows data about certain checks that are carried out employees. One of the fields is Expiry Date of the check. What I want is for the query to show only records that have a expiry date which has expired or is going to expire within the next three months of today's date. But I cannot work out how to do it!
I'm trying to build a query that adds up the total sales for a given product per date. The problem I'm running into is some products have $0 sales on a given day and don't appear in the table I'm querying. How would I get the query to add a record for that day for the given product with 0 in the sales field?
To give more details, I currently have one table showing the sales data. It has a record for every sale that includes the product of the sale, the amount, and the date. In the query, I'm summing the sales for a given day and product. Then I plan to export to Excel where I will run additional analysis.
If there are no sales for the product in a day, I'd like it to list the date and product with a $0 in the sales column.
I have a monthly system data report I wish to manipulate in Access.
I have created a table to match the 3 fields in the data report; the date, widget ID and number of widgets made.
Widgets are made every day (including weekends and bank holidays) but there will only be a data entry on days where the number of widgets made changes from the previous day ie if Widget ID 33 was made 5 times on 05 Oct, 06 Oct, 07 Oct but on 8 Oct there were 7 made, the data would look like…
Date.................Widget ID..................Number Made 05 Oct ..................33.............................. .5 08 Oct ..................33.............................. .7
I would like to write a query that shows the data for every day, duplicating the data for the previous day in the instance the same number is made. The output should look like..
Date.................Widget ID..................Number Made 05 Oct ..................33.............................. .5 06 Oct ..................33.............................. .5 07 Oct ..................33.............................. .5 08 Oct ..................33.............................. .7
The data is monthly. There are so many different widgets on the report that it’s pretty much guaranteed there will be at least one entry on the first date and the last date in order for a query to find the full date range – as opposed to a user having to manually enter the date range.
Using the example above where the first entry is on 05 Oct it should not be assumed that 01-04 Oct was zero, the query should then look for last entry in the previous month’s data stored in the database (I realise the first time I do this some form of manual adjustment would have to be made as no previous data would exist).
I have a query call courses and field name expiry date I have add additional field within the query to show how many day left and how many days over the expiry date
Code : DayLeft:[expirydate]-now()
but i just get a error when i run the query
I also would like to ask is this possible to be done within the table e.g adding another field dayleft and some how add formula to calculate number days left or over due .
I atrying to make a query that shows the price for a product, based on two parameters.
Parameter one is a product code. Parameter two is a date. This date falls between two dates.
I have one list (table) where is product code and invoice date.
The second list (table) I have, contains product code, and price valid from date, and price valid to date columns. This price valid to date is often not filled, and the price I still valid as we speak. If the date is filled there is often a new entry with an updated price. But sometimes, even if there is a new entry in the table, the date 'valid to date' is sometimes also not filled.
I would like Access to show me the valid price for the specific product. What criteria should I give in the macro, in order that Access shows what I want?
For illustration purposes, a small overview of my table:
Product, invoice date, price according to price list AAAA, 02.05.2012, ???? AAAA, 01.08.2012, ???? BBBB, 10.06.2013, ???? AAAA, 31.10.2013, ???? AAAA, 16.11.2013, ????
If you happen to know how this search can be performed in Excel, I am of course also happy to read that. (But my index, or Vlookup functions, give only the first possible result in the table. As I do not know how to give in the date parameter.)
I m trying to make form which filters my records and generates a report..here's where I am
Code: Like "*" Or Between [Forms]![Form1]![Text6] And [Forms]![Form1]![Text8] & "*"
but this doesn't work I would like to show all records if textbox 6 is null and textbox8 is null this part of code works perfect but below but I'm struggling to get the between in with the code
I'm trying to add a couple of fields to the Contact database in Access 2010.
In the Contacts table, I created a field called "Sobriety Date" that has dates formatted like 12/27/1995
I am trying to add a calculated field called "Years Sober" which should be the current year minus the year in the 'Sobriety Date' field (1995 in the example above).
'WHERE ((OperationalRiskEventTable.DateReported)>=Forms!U pdateForm!UDateBegin And (OperationalRiskEventTable.DateReported)<=Forms!Up dateForm!UDateEnd)'
in a query by form.
The problem is that you have to enter a date in the between values for results to show. If I don't enter information into a different field such as Full Name but I enter in 40 into Age then everyone that is 40 years old will show. On the other hand if I enter 40 into the Age field but I leave the Date Reported fields empty then no results will show.
How can I change it so that I don't have to enter dates into the date reported fields for results to show?
I have a form that request information from the user (StartDate, StartTime, EndDate and EndTime) the problem is that it's not working. The only way I can get any data to show is when I remove the StartTime and EndTime. Only then will it pull the items from the StartDate and EndDate.
Here is what I have as my criteria: Between [Forms]![OpPROD_ALL]![StartTime] And [Forms]![ OpPROD_ALL]![EndTime] And Between [Forms]![ OpPROD_ALL]![StartDate] And [Forms]![ OpPROD_ALL]![EndDate]
The users will be able to request a report based on a start and end date along with a start time and end time.
Side note: this is to pull date for 3rd shift (Example) 4/14/2013 10:00PM - 4/15/2013 10PM
I am using Access 2007 and I have had a curious issue arise.
I like to use the Date Picker feature on all my forms to make it easier to enter dates. I have set up each table's date field property to "show date picker for dates", as per attached (.jpg)
When I use that particular field in a form, I also set up the field to allow for the Date Picker option (date picker form property sheet.jpg)
The curious part is that not every form that I set up actually shows the date picker when I select the date field. Some forms it works perfectly, others it doesn't.
I need to make a coupel of statements that display the total (sum) of negative amounts and positive amounts from a single list of results which comtains both negative and positive values. The two answers need to be displayed in the footer of a report.
Hi to all! I face the following problem: I cannot add amounts per line! I have one table consisting of many different columns (fields), some of them having amounts. I want to update this table by doing the following: let's say I have the following records: 1/6/2006 A 12 1/5/2006 B 20 15/6/2006 C 21 22/6/2006 D 17 25/6/2006 E 30. I want to use a filter (e.g. the date being between 1/6/2006-30/6/2006), sort the records descending according to the amounts and then add in another field of the table A, B or C, according to whether the total amount including the specific record is above 70% of the total or above 90% of the total. In the specific example I want the following result: 25/6/2006 E 30 A 15/6/2006 C 21 A 22/6/2006 D 17 B 1/6/2006 A 12 C Their total amount is 30+21+17+12=80 and the percentage of each record is: E:0.375 , C:0.2625 , D:0.2125 and A:0.15. Their adding percentage is E:0.375 , E+C:0.6375 , E+C+D:0.85 and E+C+D+A:1. How can I do that? I calculate the percentage of each record in a query, but how can I calculate their adding percentage, so that I can use an if-clause in an appending query? Please help!! Thanks in advance for your time
In this case, I want to calculate a total for an order. If the LineTaxExempt field is checked (meaning tax exempt), the total is figured by the ([Qty] field X [Price] field)+the [ShippingHandling] field.
If the LineTaxExempt is not checked, then the above total, including shipping, is multiplied by 6% sales tax or 1.06. I then want this value rounded up to 2 decimal places. This control is a running total of the order.
This works most of the time, but I have run into a few rounding errors.
For example:
With exempt checked
1(Qty)X27.90(Price) + 6.44(ShippingHandling) gives me $34.35 instead of $34.34
With tax exempt checked (and multiple lines)
2(Qty)X141.02(Price) + 0.00(ShippingHandling) 10(Qty)X4.12(Price) + 0.00(ShippingHandling) gives me a grand total of $323.25 instead of $323.24
It's frustrating because it seems like it works part of the time and rounds wrong the other part of the time. By "rounds wrong", I mean I set it wrong to round.
Is there a better formula to use in a form or query to round up to 2 decimal places other than the =-Int(-Sum([Fieldname]) * 100) / 100 method that will give me the right results?
Any help/examples would be greatly appreciated on how to modify this to give me the correct result each time.
Here are my field types:
QTY ------- Field: Double Format: Standard Decimal Places: 2
Price ---------- Format: Currency Decimal Places: 4 (some unit prices are 4 digits--Example $1.2525)
I have a form based on a query. This form has a combobox with 4 names in it. When a person is selected form the combo box, other fields automatically populate IE: room number, address, etc. Another field is a currency box which also populates automatically.
This is what I wish to happen: When I select a person from the combo box, can it show the TOTAL amount received for THAT PERSON in a separate text box?
Hi, it's me again, the guy who works with the Amusement ride industry. I'm trying to set up a way to ogranize all our saftey bulletins that we get.
I've already looked into indexing but the major problem is that the user will need to be able to search on multiple criteria (for example the Tilt A Whirl was made by three different manufacturers). Also I can't download that nifty google tool bar because we're running win 2000 without service pac 3.
Access seemed like a great alernative, but I have about 300 or so files I need to link. Is there a faster way of linking these files than going through and doing them one by one?
I have a pre-made index the guy before me made in exel. Most all the files are in PDF format if it helps at all. Thanks.
i have 5 fields facid custid empid amount invdate.
i need to be able to get totals on the amount based on fac, cust & emp based on a date range given by user, but here's the kicker.. i need to get the current month totals, month totals - 1year (so same month but for last year) the date range totals, last yeardate range current ytd, last ytd
i did it using code, but the performance isn't that great. there are 2800 customers it has to cycle through and figured one of the resident experts can help with a query. i've used dsum() but not quite getting the results i should. i think one of the problems is the user has the option of filtering the data based on the 3 fields.
anyways if you can help i'd greatly appreciate it..
