Feb 21, 2014I am trying to pull between the current date minus a week in my Access query and I do not know what formula to use.

View RepliesI need to create a query that will do the next:
use today's date, minus start date, minus sent to BP, minus response from BP.
The field names are:
Start_Date
Sent_to_BP
Response_from_BP
I also have a holiday table that should be used to have only business days passed (so, not weekends and holidays counting).
Hello. I want to create a query that will return all records that were entered from today to 7 days ago. I have a DateEntered field on my table that stores the date information and I have been playing around with what I entered in the criteria there, but nothing seems to be working. I was trying to use the DateAdd function but with negative numbers, but I am doing something wrong.
Thank you in advance to any assistance that could be provided. :)
I have a query where I display the [OPEN DATE] and [CLOSE DATE] of my cases. However, when I run this query sometimes the cases are not closed yet, therefore there are null values. However, I also have a field to calculate the datediff between these two dates. I need the [CLOSE DATE] field to display today's date when it is a null value so that I can still get a count of the days using datediff when I run the query.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a query that is pulling a date from a Form. In my Query Criteria, I can put:
Code : >=[Forms]![frmAdhoc].[Date]
or
Code : <=[Forms]![frmAdhoc].[Date]
or
Code : =[Forms]![frmAdhoc].[Date]
And it works fine, but I don't want to hardcode the ">=", "<=" or "="
I would like the user to be able to choose ">=", "<=" or "=", from another field on the Form, so I am trying to code it on the query like this:
Code:
IIf([Forms]![frmAdhoc].[Variable]=">=",>=[Forms]![frmAdhoc].[Date],IIf([Forms]![frmAdhoc].[Variable]="<=",<=[Forms]![frmAdhoc].[Date],IIf([Forms]![frmAdhoc].[Variable]="=",[Forms]![frmAdhoc].[Date])))
But it isn't working for the ">=" or the "<=". It just gives me a blank result.
I need to know a query to pull information from two date fields into one. I have a BuriedStartDate field and an AerialStartDate field. In a third field I have PlacementStart. I would like to put the date into the PlacementStart field which ever is the oldest date bewtween the BuriedStartDate and AerialStartDate. It has been awhile since I have done any queries on Access 2007. I am completely self taught in Access.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to create a query that will take a date and return the week number of the date.
My original date is formatted m/d/yyyy
I need my weeks to start on Monday and I would like the week containing Jan 1st to be the first week of the year
I have tried using the following function:
DatePart("ww",#12/31/2001#,2,1)
but the I get a result of 53 in this query, when I expected/need it to be 1.
I want to use the expression Date() in a query to get today's date and then format this to "ddd" to give me the day of the week.
I then want to link this "ddd" to data in my table that contains the three letter days of the week.
How do I make the day become "static" in order to be able to link.
I am trying to create an expression to pull data from 2011 to present date. I need the data for 2011 to only reflect 1/1/11 through 10/7/11 (today's date in 2011). I need the same for 2012 and 2013.
I don't want to have to enter dates each time I run this, therefore, a formula would be preferred rather than hard numbers.
I have a weekly list of transactions that come in the format DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM:SS, I need to tag these individual transactions with a week number. The problem is, I can't use the Datepart function etc. as the day is classed as running from 8am to 8am rather than midnight. I have a list of all of the weekly date ranges for a few years (with the time) so I was able to solve this problem in excel by using the Index and Match functions. However, I'm trying to automate this process as much as possible so I'd rather perform this function in Access.

Hi I have a form that I use to capture information. The "DateReceived" field prefills with todays date. I also have a "DateResolved" field that I would like to prefill with the current date, however that date would be different from the Date Received date. The reason for this is because user logs information then goes back into the form and closes the case by entering a Date Resolved. Thank you
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to limit the results of a SQL query by date. I would like to take the current date from the system clock, move back one day, check to make sure it's not a weekend or holiday, then use the result date to limit the results in my Query. If the current date minus one day happens to land on a weekend, the date picked should be the Friday before the weekend. If the current date minus one day lands on a holiday, it should be the date before the holiday as long as it is not a Saturday or Sunday (on another holiday) .
Here is my SQL query right now.
SELECT DISTINCT (Mid(ClientDiv.Client_Division,1,3)) AS ABC, RTIClientTracker.EMB_OOB, RTIClientTracker.OOB_Fixed
FROM ClientDiv INNER JOIN RTIClientTracker ON ClientDiv.ID = RTIClientTracker.Client_Division
WHERE (((RTIClientTracker.Division_Region)='RTI') AND ((RTIClientTracker.Cut)>=Date()-1))
ORDER BY (Mid(ClientDiv.Client_Division,1,3));
It limits what it selects by using the current Date minus one day.
I need to skip over Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
Hi i know it is simple but can someone tell me how to work out an age of someone using their date of birth and the date now please. thanks i cannot remember the formula.

Hi
I have a table which has a date field in it, where the default value is Now().
How do I get this field to automatically update in the table to "today's date"?
Thanks

I have a date/time format field.
"8/21/2007 10:02:34 PM" is what my column shows.
What would I add to the criteria to the query to find all records added today?
at the end of the day my user needs to run a query that will show everything from today. Thanks.
Hi,
I have placed a calender object in Access 2003 on a form of mine and would like it to show the current date. Is there a way to set a default? IF it is code, where does it go?
Hi
I have a form that people have to fill in to report when someone is off sick.
The first notification they have is that the person is off sick - so they can only enter a start date on the form, and have to leave the end date blank
I want the end date to always be "today" - and to automatically update to "today" until an end date is entered by the user. To enter the end date, the user will go back to the original record where they put the start date in, and then enter the end date.
Any ideas... using date () will put today's date in, but then when I go in tomorrow, it will say yesterday's date...
Thanks!!!
Can someone tell me how to get year to date totals, month to date totals, week to dates in a query? I need to get all three for three different fields.
I was not able to get the totals with the formulas given. I received the totals for each day instead. Are there any other suggestions? I am trying to different formulas, but they are not working either. I did try doing different queries with the formulas to see if that would work.
Hi
In a query I am trying to return all dates (birth dates) within seven days either side of the current date. The properties of the field and the query are set to Medium Date and the criteria I am using in the query is:
Between Date()-7 And Date()+7
and returns nothing.
I have tried several options suggested in other threads without success.
Access 2002 and Australian date format - 14-Sep-07
Any advice would be appreciated.
Tks
Allan
I've been using Allen Browns method [URL] to copy form and sub form data, and it works perfectly after some adaptation.
It changes dates to today from whatever the date 'was'.. perfect.. however, as I'm still learning SQL, is there a way, to make the copied subform's date into today as well...this is my adapted code from the SQL part..
Code:
'Duplicate the related records: append query.
If Forms!FRMREGISTERMain!frmJustSubRecordsDEPOSITS.Form.RecordsetClone.RecordCount > 0 Then
strSql = "INSERT INTO [tblSplits] ( TopLineID, TransDate, Memo, Category, SubCategory, Credit, Debit) " & _
[Code].....
As I'm still learning, am I right in thinking that I'll use SELECT and/or WHERE somewhere in there?
I have form which automatically takes a start value for today the fieldname is Date.
Now what I want to do is calculate the difference between Date and Today's date in days with 2 criteria's
Ist criteria will be choosing the field which has a boolean field named Was Issue Resolved and has value as Null or False and
2nd criteria will be to show only days with greater than 21 days
This is what I m trying to do
Expr3: DateDiff("d",[Date],[date()])
but gives me error on date() as it can't find this parameter
I tried this also: >=DateAdd("d",-21,Date())
But its not population difference between the Date and Today Date ...
