Is there a way to only highlight the last row of the detail section in a report?
I tried the following code in the "Format" but could not get it to work in Access 2010.
If Me.ClaimStatuses = "Total Potential Recoverable" Then Me.Section(acDetail).BackColor = vbYellow Else Me.Section(acDetail).BackColor = vbWhite End If
Where "ClaimStatuses" is the control text box and "Total Potential Recoverable" is the value I want to equal so this row which is the last row will be yellow.
I tried searching, to no avail. I've attached pics to represent my issue a bit clearer. I have a form that I want to be my switchboard, but my clients all have different resolutions, and this is where I run into the problem. I want the switchboard to not only be maximized, but appear maximized.

I want the date and bottom line to always be at the bottom. This works fine by simply using form headers and footers. The issue is that the Admin button will appear near the center (vertically) when viewed on a computer with high resolution, instead of just above the bottom horizontal line as I intend.
In the detail section of my report, I recently added a second row which has only 1 text field. When the value of the textbox in the 2nd row is null, I want the total row height equal to just the first row. When the value in the textbox in the 2nd row is not null, then the total row height is equal to row 1 and 2. I tried to make the textbox in the second row invisible when it had a null value thinking that when it was null, the report would shrink to the first row height, but that didn't seem to work.
We are creating a report and for some reason we can no longer extend the detail section of the report. It has stopped at 2 A4 pages length and won't let us extend it further. We have about 7 pages of the report, I didn't think this was too much?
I have a report which will be printed on preprinted paper. On this paper a footer is printed with e.g. address info.
The report has a detail section with a height of 3,5 inch and canGrow=true.
The reportFooter contains totals. The size of this footer, and placements of the fields prevents printing data on the pre-printed footer of the paper.
But when the report has multiple pages, the report footer will be printed on the laste page, and the detail section is expanding to the bottom of the paper, overwriting the pre-printed footer. I need a max height of the detail section, or another solution.
I have a query with various entries, pertaining to various invoices. Each line of the query corresponds to a piece of work done, and there may be several lines in the query pertaining to one invoice. I've written the code to input data to a report.
If there are multiple lines in the query to be added to the one invoice, I don't know how to write code that will add those multiple lines in the detail section. Same type of data on each line, just basically pertains to several different lines of work.
Working in Access 2007 - I would like to have an updatable calendar in the header section of a form, and when this is changed by the user I would like the subforms (there are several) in the details section to be updated with various appointments with dates corresponding to the date selected in the header.
I have a report reading directly from a table. Table has a text field "txtOldState" where the field data a 10 digit number.
Also have a directory with .png files named with same 10 digit number. The txt field is on the report - I need to print the associated .png file on the report along with the 10 digit "txtOldState" field. I'm failing at pulling a png from the folder to print on report.
I am trying to have a macro button so when I click it it Emails to a particular person but also prints off a copy.it all works fine but for some reason it wont print the image off, my macro is as below
I want to get the link adress to an image in a report using VBA. I use the following code:
PHP Code:
Dim strPath As String strPath = [CurrentProject].[Path] & "builder" & FirstImage If Not Right(strPath, 7) = "bilder" Then Me.huvudbild.Picture = strPath Else Me.huvudbild.Picture = [CurrentProject].[Path] & "builder\_tom.jpg" End If
I get the following error (translated from Swedish): Error: 2424 The expression contains a field, a control or a property name that MS access couldnt find.
I have a database used for several product lines. Depending on the product line selected, I need to add an image to my report as the header for it. I need to store the images (there are only 3) in the database and cannot have an external link to them. Have been trying to figure out the best way to do this and I am finding both OLE Objects and Image Objects.
I have a report which gets it's records from a table which has OLE Object data type being a "file.jpg". can I get the image to show in the report print view and also print it with the report?
I am running Access 2013. I have created a report where the tables are linked to a SQL DB
I am trying to run a sales report that includes an stored image.
I am adding an Image and then using the control source to look up the 'filepath' stored in the DB. When I run the report on screen all the images are showing but when I try to print it (including exporting to PDF or XPS) and Print Preview only 2 of the 9 images print per page. The images are around 2-4 Mb.
I'm guessing its to do with the files sizes but cannot do anything about the size.
how to hide the the 'Details' section in my form when viewing it in Split Form. I tried to use
Code:
Private Sub Form_Load() Me.Detail.Visible = False End Sub
but that just makes the Details section look blank, as oppose to not having it there at all.
have only the Form Header and Datasheet visible in the Form View of my form. Similar to the 'Contact List' form in the Contacts Template that comes with Access.
I have an image within the attachment field on a table. The particular table is not linked with the data within the report.I tried to use DLookup but found it only showed the picture name i.e. signature.png..How can I display an image (in fact the only image) in the attachement field on another table within the report?
I have data from a survey with qualitative responses. For a single qualitative question, I moved the ID & responses into a new table and categorized the response according to a bucket/theme, where each column is a new bucket. I now have 10 columns. Each response is represented in 1 or more columns. I used an excel formula to copy the response data into the column itself.
Example:
A1 // B1// C1 // D1// E1//... L1 ID // Response // Cats // Dogs // Elephants //.... Column 10 1 // I like cats // I like cats //(null)//(null)// ... (null)// 2 // I like cats and dogs // I like cats and dogs // I like cats and dogs //(null)//..// 3 // etc.
However, now I'm realizing that Access always wants to show data for all records, or at most I can limit using a WHERE clause in my query.I want to use Access to generate this report:
1. Section 1: Show all responses from the Cats bucket where there is data 2. Section 2: Show all responses from the Dogs bucket where there is data 3. and so on
I know how to do summary values, and I know how to do filtering that apply across the whole report, but this seems like more advanced filtering, where I want to see selective details differently for each field.
My student is doing a project on question paper generation in which he selects questions from each lesson needed and also some of these questions have images associated with them. So, if these questions are selected, the image control in the report displays it.
If there is no image, the space for the control is left in tact. I tried changing the visible property for the image control in the Detail_Format event procedure. But this code is not reached at all and the space is still left. I am not storing the image directly in the field but its path in a text field.
I want that the space occupied by the image control removed. I tried the suppression thing but obviously it did not work.
I have a database that I use for keeping track of clients and printing invoices using a form/sub-form and report/sub-report. I want an image to be visible on my sub-report when I choose Received Payment in my sub-form. Right now I have my image set to visible = no.
when i generate a report i intermittently get a page that has the detail section highlighted. The report generates an invoice for each customer selected, a new page for each invoice with a repeating header on each page. I have used the vba to some of the formatting on the page. Usually there are between 20-40 pages generated with each report, or there is an option to print just one invoice. I get the highlight on 1 page on some set of invoices, and other everything works fine.
I can not for the life of me figure out what variables are causing the detail section to be highlighted. Does not repeat on a specific customer, place in the report, or any specific that i can tell. What settings/variables/triggers/events would cause the detail section to become highlighted blue.
Right now i can generate the report, see a blue page(usually after its printed), and the regenerate it and its not there or on a different page. The invoices uploaded are for the same person generated right after each other..
I have a command button that opens a report with a where filter. The report has a main section and a detail section. Its a Organisation and its Contacts. The Contacts are in the detail section. How can I suppress the detail section (and a label) if there is no records to show in the detail section?
What I wish to achieve is to create a report that groups and sorts without the need of a header section as it is taking up to much space cascading :
---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----
rather than :
---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----
---- ---- ---- ---- ----
I basically want it not to cascade but do the exact same thing as it does inside its own header. (We need to dramatically cut down the page amount as a delivery schedule is printed out daily and could do with the page count around 10 rather than 50 ).
I have master and child fields in my query, and in my report I have blank controls where there is no child record to the master. I'm trying to set the section (Group Header and Detail) to be invisible when there's no value in a control.
However, as soon as I introduce an If statement to the VBA in a report, regardless of the event I put it in, it just stops working completely.
I want to add a section to my report and control the visible value based on page (1st, 2nd, etc...)
So:
1st page show 'Page Header' which has lots of detail, but dont show 'AccNum.Header' section.
2nd, 3rd, etc.. don't how 'Page Header' as I don't need lots of detail, but show the 'AccNum.Header' as this has customer name and Invoice numer, which is enough header information of all the rest of the pages.
Tried using 'On Page' and logoc aroung [Page] but no progress.
I am trying to page break my report to have it where the first name and surname of the employee has a separate page with the details of each appointment.
I have tried to do it via format on properties but it does not work..
I have attached an image of how the report appears.
