Reports :: Make Yes / No Checkbox Visible On Printed Report

I have a form with a Yes/No checkbox. Sometimes a data entry person will use this, sometimes an associated report is printed and a technician in the field will be required to fill check the box by hand and return the report for data entry. what I have tried to format the check box, if the box isn't already checked, I can't get it to show up clearly on the printed report. It's set to Visible, width 6pt, solid, black, always display, yet it still is barely visible. Ive tried increasing the grid line thicknesses, making it shadowed, nothing seems to work. Is there anything I can do?

I am building a report that has a header with several details followed by a detail section.

What I need to do is make the entire entry not visible on the report if one of the dates is null.

So it looks like this

last first title id memb # date a date b
1. smith , john fng 8521 2356224

10/2/2013 (is null)

On the report i want the 1st entry (smith john) not to be visible due to the null (B) Date.... but i want it to be visible once the date is entered...

Report Fields Visible Based On Checkbox

I have an Access 07 report, and when viewing the report I'd like to have some checkboxes visible based on their value. In other words, I need the checkbox to be visible if it's checked and not visible if it's not. I have the following in the OnLoad event of the report;

Me.Checkbox.Visible = Me.Checkbox.Value

This works fine in print preview but makes no difference in normal view, the checkboxes are visible regardless of value. I'd like to keep normal view if possible.

Reports :: Data Correct On Report View But Not When Printed

I'm tracking some charges and want to report them based on month/year and an Early/Late (yes/no) flag within the query I created. When I wrote the report I grouped on mon/year then on Early/Late, then calculate averages. I then want to calculate the difference in the charges between the Early & Late rows. Here....

Jun 13
32 868 27 (Early row #, charge, avg)
11 1279 116 (Late row)

Now I want to subtract the 27 from the 116. I figured out I could assign the 27 to a field in the header and the 116 in the footer, that's the only way I could make them "stick". I then calculate the difference and things are great. Until I try to print it. When I print the difference is 0 because the group header & footer fields are both populated with the 27.

I have a report that displays on a continuous style report. What courses the employee have been on and when they expire

right I have field call expirydate and another call dayover showing the number of days till that course has expired also I have made a label called Expired1

now what I'm trying to do.....

if the expirydate has passed I want the expired1 label to be visible and dayover field to become invisible

Onformat For Report Make Visible Is Not Null

I want my fields on the report to show up if there is data to show and to disappear if no data is avaliable. Also, will the fields format together or will they still stay apart? I need them closer together for the report.

Here we go.

In the report are months 1, 2 and 3 as well as the label box for each. I need the label box and the data(text box) to disappear when the data box is null. This is where I had started:

I'm working on a report. I have a text box that contains directory path for a picture which is showed in a image box on my report which works great. I have now created a label called "nopiclb" that has "no Pic "entered in it but I want to set the label to not visible if path1 has a file path in it but visible if path1 is empty

I have a Main Form with a Sub-Form, the sub-form is base off a query. on the sub-form i have 8 controls, one of them is "Status' and "Process" and "Review" My Main Form have a Refresh command that refreshes the data in the sub-form.

What i am trying to do is make the "Process" Control only visible is "Status" is a certain status and "Review" visible if "Status" is something else. what i have done works correctly On Open. I run into and issue on the refresh command. I get Run-time error '2165' "You can't hide a control that has the focus"

Reports :: Text Label Conditionally Visible On Report?

I'm running Access 2003 and my question relates to delivery notes that are produced for drivers as reports. These delivery notes have a blank payment box for the driver to complete if the customer pays upon delivery.

As more and more customers are prepaying by credit cards, I'd like this payment box to be automatically filled with a "PAID" text which will let the driver know the order has already been paid for.

The delivery note is produced from an "Orders" table which has a "Paid" field whose value is automatically set to "Yes" when the order has been paid for.

I was hoping to be able to place a "PAID" label on the report which is only visible when the Paid field of the underlying query is Yes.

As things are at the moment I cannot see any way to put any conditional statement onto this Text/Label. The only options for the "Is Visible" property of the text are Yes or No.

I've accomplished some simpler things like hiding fields based on the data in another field but nothing very complex. To the point: I have a report that shows data in both rows and columns, the report has a 7 columns, 3 of which could or could not contain data other than zero, in which case the column is not displayed. The problem I have is that it could be any of those three at any given time depending on what data is available for that report and what the user wants to see. Basically, if a given company has no data regarding column "A", then column A is hidden, but the main grouping is done through rows so all companies contain at least 0 for all columns (what I did is that, if a field sums the whole column returns 0, then the column is not visible). What I need to get working is the second part of this, have the columns rearrange themselves depending on which column is hidden (it could be that all 3 are hidden). How could I make this work? (btw, autoshrink is not usefull for this since it only shrinks vertically, not horizontally).

Reports :: Changing Visible Property Of Blank Image Fields In A Report

My student is doing a project on question paper generation in which he selects questions from each lesson needed and also some of these questions have images associated with them. So, if these questions are selected, the image control in the report displays it.

If there is no image, the space for the control is left in tact. I tried changing the visible property for the image control in the Detail_Format event procedure. But this code is not reached at all and the space is still left. I am not storing the image directly in the field but its path in a text field.

I want that the space occupied by the image control removed. I tried the suppression thing but obviously it did not work.

I have the following code in the On Load of a report which shows multiple records:-

This ends up checking all check boxes in the report if any have "Debit/Credit Card" in the PaymentType field.What I wanted was to tick Checkboxes for those records where the statement was true, and not tick those where it is false.Do I need the code in the On Current event? Or do I need more sophisticated code?

Marking Records After Reports Printed.

Greetings,
I will try to explain briefly my problem.

My database is for our job card analysis.
The problem being sometimes a job card invoiced for the previous month
is only entered in the DB after reports have been generated/printed.

My thought was that if I could put a true/false check box in the record table
to somehow mark it as true after printing month end reports.
Hence late entries will reflect in the following months reports.

Is there a way of marking all the records as "reported" (True) after printing the report?

Maybe I am thinking along the wrong lines. Any suggestions?

I am using mail merge to add info from my database to my word document template. I want to make it the same as my form I have set up which gives me a patient name, dob, GP details as head of main form then a subform (continuous) of their medication. When I try a mail merge it comes up right but only shows one medication on each page. I want it to add all their medications to the body and have the patient info in the heading. Do-able?

Message If Report Has Already Been Printed

Dear all, im trying to display a message to the user if a particular report has already been printed.

I have an unbound form with 2 (unbound) combo boxes one named “shift name” the other “shift date” and a button that prints a report (runs a print macro) based on what the user selects in these 2 combo boxes. I have a table (named “Table_shiftdates”) which stores all the shift names & shift dates + I have created a new Yes/no field named “printed?”.

(I’ve attached a pic, which may help explain what I currently have)

I believe I need to somehow set the yes/no field in this table too yes (or true) when a particular shift name and shift date has been printed.

Then do a check when the user clicks on the print button in this form to see if the yes/no field is set to true for the shift + date they select in the form, if it is true display a message such as: “Warning this report has already been printed”

Other than that I’m stumped and not what I need to do from here, anyone please help me out?

Close A Form After All Report Have Printed

Hello all,

I have a form that takes info from another form and then adds some from it's own data and then it proceeds to print a bunch of reports based on what tests were done etc. When I just print them (With preview) I have a function in the first report that prints (in its Close event) to close the form. No problem. I have a new slick little pdf thing that automatically names the files and puts them in the right spot etc. With this, after the first report is printed it closes thereby closing the form which needs to be open for the rest of the reports to open. Just put the close event on the last report that prints you say? I don't always know which report will be that last, it depends on the tests.

How can I check to see when all the reports have been printed and then close the form. Is there some way to have the form close itself after a certain time? Am I going to have to make the users close the form themselves?
Let me know if this is confusing. Upon reading over this it does sound a bit confusing. Thank you for your help and patience.
