Reports :: Sending PDF Files Via FTP

I am creating reports (containing a chart) which I output as pdf files using the code below:-
DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputReport, PrintDocName, acFormatPDF, Me!PDFName, False, , , acExportQualityPrint
This works fine - file is produced and can be viewed correctly.
I then use the shell command to ftp these files to a web site:-
Shell "ftp -n -i -g -s:" & Me!Defaultfolder & "FtpComm.txt " & vFTPServ, vbNormalNoFocus
Again this works fine, the files are uploaded.
But if I download these files and look at them they are only partly there - sometimes the titles are gone, sometimes the scales, sometimes the data. It's very inconsistant.
Since the files are created ok and are viewable on my pc I think this part is ok. So I'm guessing that something goes wrong during the ftp upload though I can't imagine what - the files are quite small and surely ftp doesn't care what's in a file - it just sends it?
I'm using Access 2010.

Every month I have to make a report about registration of hours of a group of employees. (These employees have a deal with direction about travel hours vs. working hours).This report has to be send to the group members but only the data which is valid for the group member in it. There are 11 persons in this group so I have to send 11 reports.
I made a query with the hours registered from this group. I couldn't export it because it was read-only. That was because the query contains joins to the employee table. After that I tried it with a report. That nearly went well but it contained all data and not the seperated info.What I need to know:What is easier/better: use a query or use a report?Is there code which looks in my query or the report and makes it into seperated reports?I've tried the code of Tony Hine but I can't make it work.After that I need to do a mail-merge. But first of all do I need to make the seperated reports to work.

I need to send different reports to a bunch of different persons every hour... I had several macros that did it for me, But Then they wanted me to include a e-mail body that was more than 255chars, so i had to go VBA and i have this (for every set of persons and Reports):

so everything is good, but NOW they want the body of the email to contain another paragraph totally separated from the first one and they want it highlited and also in Red, How can i add Html to this or do i have to use another method?

I am trying to send a report to a list of employees. I have a query that generates the report into the layout I want and includes the e-mail address of who the recipient should be. The report looks something like this:
--Employee Name--
--E-mail address---
-Hire Date----Tenure-
-Attendance-
-Quality Score-
...etc...
I need to send, for each row in the query, this report based on the results of that particular row. How would I go about making a e-mail template that would be used, or at least sending the report as a PDF attachment? I've seen the sendObject method.

I have this code below its giving me the RUntime 2295 error. Unknown message recipients. I have check all email addresses and they are fine. Everything else works except when it gets to Outlook and do not send email. I did a Debug Print but didnt understand how to do it.

I am running Access 2013. I have created a report where the tables are linked to a SQL DB
I am trying to run a sales report that includes an stored image.
I am adding an Image and then using the control source to look up the 'filepath' stored in the DB. When I run the report on screen all the images are showing but when I try to print it (including exporting to PDF or XPS) and Print Preview only 2 of the 9 images print per page. The images are around 2-4 Mb.
I'm guessing its to do with the files sizes but cannot do anything about the size.

i have a database which has new customers added daily (currently we post all documentation)
when a new record is filled in the customer receives:
cover letter/invoice(report), book page(report) and a book (pdf, always the same) the reports are created from the record
rather than post all these documents i would like to email them to each customer in 1 email with the reports in pdf format.
Example:
CC (email feild from the record)
Subject (pre filled with "Stop Bullying Now! Books 4 Schools order")
Body (pre filled with "Dear ([Contact]if possible) Please find enclosed your documentation for your recent telephone order bla bla bla and our logo.jpg if possible)
then i would like to attach to the email the cover letter/invoice(report), book page(report) and the book (pdf) from the hard drive (r.eports changed to pdf)
if i can press a button on the form to send it that would be good.
if i could link it to a query to send a batch of them that would excellent.
The Database is Named: b4s.mdb
The table is called: Main Table
The input form is called: Client
The letter/invoice report is called: b4sletinv
The Book page report: b4sbook
The pdf book is located at c:Documents and SettingsAdministrator4sfinal.pdf
The query for the batch is called: coverlet&proforma

I decided to link Excel files and all is running fine except when I run a query on the file I get about 1,041 blank rows before my data is displayed in the query's datasheet view or any report based upon this query... the data seems good but why the leading blank rows? The data in the linked Excel sheet does not look like this and another Excel file's query looks fine and they seem set up identically!

I have to write a code for my database,i have folder with files "pending Review" and a table with column "tblExcelLocation". when i run my database all the files from pending review folder goes to "tblExcelLocation" on a click of button.But,if the files already exists it should not insert those files and insert the rest.For this i tried to write a code but i think i m unable to do that .

Every hour a zip file is created in an FTP folder. The zip file contains an .mdb access database file with any changes to the data since the last hours file.
What is the best method to get access to connect to the content of the zip files and pick up the changes to the data?

I would like to set a database password for my back end so that ppl could not "exidentaly" open the wrong .mdb file. Then i want to send a database password from my front end to my back end so that users who use FE would login my BE automaticaly? Is this posible? If so, how?
One more question. Is it posible to based on a login name(form in FE) open a BE readonly or normaly?

I am useing DoCmd.SendObject to send emails - however I get outlook opening an email with my To, BCC fields filled in , however I am stuck in the new email screen - ie can't get to a previuos email to copy and paste text - like it is dialog?
Is there any way around this.

I have been able to create a form that will send an email automatically when the form is opened. Tha problem is, the email will not actually send until I open Outlook. Any ideas?

Hi guys,
i want to send an email to several people when someone else enters a complaint in my database.
I have a form which displays the complaint with a reference number, recordsource is "tblKlachten". i have query that is set to return only those emails i want it to send to called "qerMailBeheerder". In there is a field called "email".
Now, whenever i a user closes the form after adding a complaint, i want at the same time a mail sent to those ppl in the query with the subject the reference number of the complaint (field called "Referentienummer") and in the body other information from the fields on the form. Like the field "complaintdecription" and "clientname".
Now, i know about the sendobject thing, but i have tried alot and non would do what i want. Can anybody help me with the code.

Hey
I have created a database system to book appointments between tutors and students in a school.
In the form, I want tutors to be able to send appointment details to students via email. I have created tables consisting of these details, however I don't know how to set it up for emails to be sent.
I am finding this very difficult especially with the visual basic codes. :confused:

I am using Docmd.sendobject to print a report to Outlook so that I can e-mail the report. The method used to work. Outlook would open, I'd elect my recipients and could click the send button to e-mail the report. Now the send button is disabled once the report shows as an attachment in Outlook. I have to ctrl-alt-del to break the process and outlook gives me an error message regarding the ole object. Is there anyway to fix this problem or a possible root cause. Thank you

I am a little lost here. My prorgam has a form where I added a button. When clicking on the button, it is supposed to use some fields from the form and add them to an email with additional info which is added when the email opens up and is about to be sent. My boss uses Mozilla for his email account. What would be the code on the Onclick event be and do I have to set up anything else??
So far I have this code but it is for Microsoft Office Outlook not for Mozilla:

I'm sending an email from a form to Outlook express. But before it opens Outlook I get a question that states "a program is trying to access email address you have stored in Outlook" I then have to click ok and then another window opens and askes the same question. How can I eliminate these warning messages??
