Part # Component Part 1 Component Part 2

Reports :: Highlight Only Last Row Of Detail Section In A Report?

Jul 16, 2013

Is there a way to only highlight the last row of the detail section in a report?

I tried the following code in the "Format" but could not get it to work in Access 2010.

If Me.ClaimStatuses = "Total Potential Recoverable" Then
Me.Section(acDetail).BackColor = vbYellow
Else
Me.Section(acDetail).BackColor = vbWhite
End If

Where "ClaimStatuses" is the control text box and "Total Potential Recoverable" is the value I want to equal so this row which is the last row will be yellow.

Reports :: Variable Row Height In Report Detail Section

Apr 16, 2013

In the detail section of my report, I recently added a second row which has only 1 text field. When the value of the textbox in the 2nd row is null, I want the total row height equal to just the first row. When the value in the textbox in the 2nd row is not null, then the total row height is equal to row 1 and 2. I tried to make the textbox in the second row invisible when it had a null value thinking that when it was null, the report would shrink to the first row height, but that didn't seem to work.

We are creating a report and for some reason we can no longer extend the detail section of the report. It has stopped at 2 A4 pages length and won't let us extend it further. We have about 7 pages of the report, I didn't think this was too much?

Reports :: Adding Entries From A Query To Detail Section Of A Report

Dec 30, 2013

I have a query with various entries, pertaining to various invoices. Each line of the query corresponds to a piece of work done, and there may be several lines in the query pertaining to one invoice. I've written the code to input data to a report.

If there are multiple lines in the query to be added to the one invoice, I don't know how to write code that will add those multiple lines in the detail section. Same type of data on each line, just basically pertains to several different lines of work.

Modules & VBA :: Display Multivalues Horizontally

Oct 12, 2013

Let's say I have:

Customer Table - CustID
Product Table - ProdID
CustomerProducts - Contains the CustID and ProdID

I have an "input" form with Customer Name, Address, etc and a subform that allow selecting his/her products.

I want to DISPLAY (only display), in another subform, on this form, (not a report), every customer that has a product in common (even if just one) with the main form customer. Also need it laidout this way:

For example, if Joe Robins has the following products selected: celery, lettuce, tomatoes. The following customers would appear in that subform - because they have ONE or MORE products in common with him:

John Doe (carrots, celery, potatoes)
Mike Smith (carrots, radish, tomatoes)

but this customer would not show up:

Mary Lamb (potatoes, cauliflower)

Display Results For Each Group Horizontally Rather Than Vertically

May 24, 2012

Is there an easy way [in a query or a series of queries?] to display this:

Code:
Branch Officer Total Loans
1 ABC $5,678,555
1 DEF $6,678,555
2 GHI $7,678,555
2 JKL $8,678,555
2 MNO $9,678,555
Like this:

Code:
Branch Officer1 TotalLoans1 Officer2 TotalLoans2 Officer3 TotalLoans3 . . .
1 ABC $5,678,555 DEF $6,678,555
2 GHI $7,678,555 JKL $8,678,555 MNO $9,678,555
There is an indeterminate and ever-changing possible-number-of-Officers per Branch.

If this is not possible using queries, is there a better way than writing code to loop through the recordset to get the desired output?I've done it before where I've written output to text and also to a table using VBA & recordset - but I'd like to know if there is a way I can get Access to do the 'heavy lifting'.

Reports :: Page Header - Don't Display If No Detail Records - On Last Page

Jun 13, 2015

If I have a report and it has controls (labels representing column titles) in the page header. Now when I print the report - if it happens that the last page has no detail records - but there is text boxes and so forth in the report footer. Is there a way to not display the page header on the last page?

I have a report where the last page shows the page header - and the field/column labels on the page header - but for which there is no detail records left to display - on the last page. There is report footer information that should display. It just looks weird because the field/column labels show at the top of the page - but there is no data remaining to print under them on that last page.

Reports :: Show Detail - Using Section Header As Hyperlink To Show / Hide Detail

Aug 13, 2013

I'm trying to create a report where I can use a section header as a hyperlink to show/hide detail, but only for that section. For example, my customer names are:

Code:
ABC Co.
ZYX Co.
123 Co.

If I click on ZYX Co., I want it to show the contracts for ONLY that customer:

Code:
ABC Co.
ZYX Co.
Contract 1
Contract 2
123 Co.

Right now, my code looks like this for On_Click:

Code:
If Me.Detail.Visible = False Then
Me.Detail.Visible = True
Else
Me.Detail.Visible = False
End If

But it shows and hides detail for ALL customers when I do this. Is there a way to only show/hide for the customer on which I click?

Reports :: Changing Name On Report Tab?

May 11, 2013

After changing data source , header and name of report, only the design view tab changes to the new name of the report. i.e. Changed copy of "Fiscal Quarter 01 Report" to "Fiscal Quarter 02 Report". When open in design view, name tag of report is "Fiscal Quarter 02 Report". In any other view, name tag of report is "Fiscal Quarter 01 Report". If I need to have both reports open in report view, they both have "Fiscal Quarter 01 Report" on the name tab - Very Confusing! How do I get all tabs for a renamed report changed to the new name?

Reports :: Print Report Several Times By Changing Field Information

Apr 7, 2015

I have a question related with a report i`m using to print labels. I am not familiar with Access and this is quite a challenge to do it alone.

In the attached file there is a report called "MICRA", when started it asks that you want to select (default is 1 and special select in this case is 11) and next it asks "SPS", the value entered there is printed in the bottom right corner of the report.

My question is is it possible if in the SPS field is entered a special value (for example "MASS") to print 30 labels of each selected label with text in this fiels = "val.1"; 15 with text in the field = "val.2"; 10 with "val.3" and 10 with "val.4" and after that to print next label with same rules...

And if not entered "MASS" to print just 4 copies of every label.

Reports :: Changing Visible Property Of Blank Image Fields In A Report

Dec 8, 2014

My student is doing a project on question paper generation in which he selects questions from each lesson needed and also some of these questions have images associated with them. So, if these questions are selected, the image control in the report displays it.

If there is no image, the space for the control is left in tact. I tried changing the visible property for the image control in the Detail_Format event procedure. But this code is not reached at all and the space is still left. I am not storing the image directly in the field but its path in a text field.

I want that the space occupied by the image control removed. I tried the suppression thing but obviously it did not work.

Reports :: Print Out Single Page Reports (or Forms) To Show Detail From Several Tables And Queries

Apr 21, 2014

I have a database of high-school football players, and I am looking to print out single page reports (or forms) that will show detail from several tables and queries. This will act as their resume when they visit schools on recruiting visits. The reason for needing query items, is that I have developed queries that return the most up to date height, weight, 40 time etc., and that single most up to date number is what should print, not the entire table. When I try to build a report it will let me bring in multiple tables, but not queries.
