Reports :: Creating Report That Show Only One Record From Query Or Table?
Feb 19, 2014I am using Access 2007. creating a report that show only one record from my query or table.
View RepliesI am using Access 2007. creating a report that show only one record from my query or table.
View RepliesThe database is to track and evaluate call center associate phone calls. I created yes/no fields for multiple common errors (accurate/complete, Security, and client experience. and under each are @ 20 common errors)
(the problem is that I did not create a seperate table for each main category which I think might have made things easier)
Now what I am trying to do is create a report that allows me to show (or select) an error and have it show all the associates that had that error in a given time frame.
I already have a report to show all associates and all the errors that each had in a certain time frame. (so vertically I have associate detail and horizontal I have error detail).
is there a way, without creating 25 separate reports, to show all associates under an error type?
I have a report with 3 fields in it. I have made the control source for each field an average of the #'s in the field of the query. I only want it to show 1 record but can't seem to figure out how. I've already listed the cycle option to current record, but it still shows the 3 fields repeating over and over... for ex:
Field 1 Label 7.4
Field 2 Label 8.4
Field 3 Label 6.4
Field 1 Label 7.4
Field 2 Label 8.4
Field 3 Label 6.4
And it goes on and on like this... the averages are correct, but I only want to show them 1 time, not repetitively..
I'm currently working on a database which requires invoicing as a part of it. The invoicing is done based on quarters, and I want the users to be able to use a multiple items form, listing all of their clients, to create the invoices. Each invoice must be created individually so they can be e-mailed to the client, and saved to the clients folder. So I was wondering if it would be possible to create individual invoices for clients using a multiple items form.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a database created that imports data (stock levels) from a text file into a table and then email various suppliers with the current stock levels. The emails are all scheduled using scripts.
The weakest part of my set up is the text file, I am depending on someone remembering to run the report to create the text file, which cannot be automated.
I was thinking, if I could display the date the table was created in the report, I could add some disclaimer to make sure the created date equal report date. Is it possible to show the table properties date in a report?
I am using access 2007. I click on a table for example. I then click blank report to make a report.
I then insert a text box and then go to control source to select a field from that table. The field doesn't show up when i click view report?
I have a report, based on a query, where the field name is "Date of Work". The criteria in this query field is >=[Start Date] And <=[End Date], which works fine. However I need to have the start and end dates to show in the resulting report header based on the query.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a query that returns numerous rows of data per person per day.
Simplified Example ( ';' used to show columns):
LastName ; Date ; DrillNumber ; Score
Smith ; 18/9/14 ; 0 ; 100
Smith ; 18/9/14 ; 1 ; 150
Smith ; 18/9/14 ; 2 ; 120
Doe ; 18/9/14 ; 0 ; 150
Doe ; 18/9/14 ; 1 ; 150
Doe ; 18/9/14 ; 2 ; 100
etc.
I'm trying to create a report that shows each of the scores per drill in the report per person (Dont worry about the formatting):
Name: Smith
Date: 18/9/14
Drill & Score:
0 - 100
1 - 150
2 - 120
However, when I drag the field lists into the report Im getting a new report entry for each drill eg.
Smith
18/9/14
0 - 100
Smith
18/9/14
1 - 150
etc.
Any way to get all drills to show in the one report entry per person? So all data for Smith is in the one report or report section, and then all the data for Doe.
The aim of what I am doing is to create a monthly statement to give to our intermediaries that shows the commission they will receive each month for the deals they have referred. I have managed to create this report, HOWEVER I can't figure out how to filter out which month I need, so I a report for Jan, Feb Mar etc... The idea is that at the end of each month I need to run the report so only the latest month shows...
View 3 Replies View RelatedEverytime i make a report in Access, first thing i do is build a query and then use it as a record source. I try the other way, I go to create report design directly and do the drag and drop of fields.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a report that is based on nested (I think thats the phrase) query's.
Complicated Query based on another query (so I can't see a way to get at the the source SQL to change or use elsewhere)
This gives a list of say 20 records I generally want printed. I use the exact same query criteria with a separate update query to add the same to a table.
However I then wanted to just pick one with exact matching ID's I select on a form.
I could not see an easy way to apply this without making another set of nested querys which seems a little excessive
Anyway, an easy way for the printed report to do this is a simple filter added after, works great.
I can't see a way to do the same for an update query.
I was wondering if I could get the record source of this report and add to my table. I have tried with
' Dim db As DAO.Database
' Dim rs As DAO.Recordset
'Set db = CurrentDb
'Set rs = db.OpenRecordset(Me.RecordSource, dbOpenDynaset)
' Set rs = CurrentDb.OpenRecordset(Me.RecordSource)
And dozens of variations over some hours but a variety of errors mainly "too few parameters."
I have a form that stores information about attendees for a given class. In this particular instance, I only store one address, one contact information both which are optional. I've used subforms, but that has bought problems (one notable problem is that one field from tblAddress is required for *any* attendee, which is county they resides in, whether they give out an address or not. At this point my VBA codes to work around this is simply too buggy and a major hassle.
Therefore, I am now considering two possibilities: 1) make a unbound form and do everything manually without any subforms or 2) create an updatable query somehow that can pull together the needed information. The latter, I'm not sure if that is feasible, so I'm asking you about that.
Address and Contact Information are kept as a many side tables, and different queries I've made in past only is either non updatable or partially updatable, which does no good. If anyone can show how one can retrieve only one record from the many side and keep it as updatable, that'd be great.
TIA.
I have a form and on a button click, a report pops up.I want to see only the report but not the access window.i could do it for forms but not to report.
"DoCmd.OpenReport stDocName, acViewPreview, acDialog"
"fSetAccessWindow (SW_SHOWNORMAL)"
I am quite new to access 2007 but trying to create an IIF statement in a report but don't know where to start.
My report has lots of 'Label' fields with standard text based on a query for the fields components. I want one of my labels to only appear on the report for print IF a record field called 'Program' (which is from a list) has the word 'RHICHOP' at the beginning of it. If RHICHOP is not in the beginning of the Program then leave out the label text.
I have a table, it is fairly large but pretty simple.
It lists store numbers in the first column. Each column that follows is a SKU, and in the field it either has a 1 or a 0 to represent 1 if it is stocked in the store, and 0 if it is not.
Can I write a report that will show what each store has, and how do I do that? I basically want it to return the sku number (and its description) if it has a one in the box, but not if it doesn't.
I have a database used to track my personal assignments, created about six years ago using Access 2003 on Windows XP. Recently upgraded to Access 2010 on Windows 7. At some point thereafter, I started having the following issue:
When a new record is created, that record gets added to the table, but doesn't show-up in any query, form, or report until after another new record has been added. The most recently added record cannot be located to view or update, except in the table, until after another new record has been added to the table. Queries, forms, & reports now always lag behind by one record.
None of the queries, forms, or reports tested contain filters. I have several multi-user databases that I also support and none of those users have reported having this problem. This is only happening on my personal database.
I've re-created this database once or twice in the past to resolve other issues, but would like to avoid that route this time around, if possible.
I'm working on a project where I'm supposed to take an excel spreadsheet and replace it's function with Access. So far I have created the form, table, and query, now I just need the report which (according to my boss) needs to mimic the existing spreadsheet.
I know this is probably not going to be fun, but hopefully somewhere out there can give me a few pointers?
Attached is an example of what the spreadsheet looks like (Capture1) and what I currently have in my report (Capture 2).
I have a field I need to create on my report that needs to be based on what is in another field on my report.
If Note (that's my field name) = 1,2,3,4,5, or 6, I want to sum a field called PlateNumbers.
What is the syntax?
I have a table, with a related value in another table. E.g. A Items table with a batch value from another table.
I have a form to enter how many of these items has been used and from which batch number they belong.
The batch number is from a dropdown, and batches can be finished(exhausted) and marked such in the table so they no more show in the dropdown.
All this works fine, until, I go back to a entry which was from a batch that has been finished. The combobox is empty although the (Already finished) batch number is mentioned in the table. This is perfectly normal as my query for the combobox is :
Code:
SELECT ItemBatch.ItemId, ItemBatch.ItemBatchNumber, ItemBatch.Finished, ItemBatch.ItemName
FROM ItemBatch
WHERE (((ItemBatch.Finished)=False)
AND ((ItemBatch.ItemName)=[Forms]![ItemMasterForm]![ItemDataSheet].[Form]![ItemName]));
What I want is to show the current batch number as well. I tried to make this query get the current value, but wasn't successful. I tried to make a calculated field based on the dropdown and show its value.
Is there any way I can show the batch number in the datasheet? I have to use a datasheet and not a form, because there will be many sub records for the main form, and having a form will be very uneasy.
I am very new to access. I have made a database that holds certain company information.
As part of a process a company must fill in and complete form and send to me and once they have I enter a 'yes' to the form and then link directly to said form.
I am wanting to be able to run a report to be able to only see the companies where a certain field has not been filled in.
For example I have a field for doc 698, if I have had this form back I enter a yes in this field, if I havent had this back I leave it blank and these blanks are what I want to pull off in the report.
I have made queries and then just filtered to show blanks but I would like to have in report form.
Is there away to have the report footer only to display on the first page?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a report that lists part numbers. With beside the part numbers are the components that go into the part. It looks something like this:
Part # Component Part 1 Component Part 2
1 abc
abd
2 abg
3 abc
abd
abg
abf
Part 1 has 2 components (abc, abd) how can I get these to display side by side.
I have a report based on a query. Sometimes some of the fields on the report are blank because the information is not available. Is there a way to not show the blank fields on the report and to move the next field up into the space?
I have tried using Is Not Null on the query criteria but if any one field is null it doesn't show any of the others on the report.
I have currently got it so that the height is set to 0 and can shrink = yes and this seems to work but the field is still there (although hidden) - I would rather it was removed completely if it is blank as I am hoping eventually to make the output for each field show on a PowerPoint presentation and I don't want blank slides which I think this solution might do??
I have a report that shows all visit dates and the rep that did the visit. How do I only show the most current data. I use an append query to add records to a specific table. The report pulls from that table.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIm creating a database that we can enter jobs into.A job will consist of 3 seperate parts, Called "Trusses", "Walls", "Posis". They will each have a different delivery date and possibly a delivery time.
I am having trouble creating a report that gives me a week view, Monday to Friday, that shows what deliveries are on each day.The main thing here is there is one job entry, with the 3 parts. So there will need to be 3 seperate entries on the report for each part of that job.
My report produces multiple copies of the same record. I know why, but don't know how to fix it.
EmployeeTable.
With a one to many relationship with TrainingTable (via employee PK as FK in trainingtable).
Training table has a one to many relationship with a table called Range.
Report is based on a query that picks up the Employee/Training/Range (range just describes the training unit).
However, If I have more than one range expressed organized a training unit, the report spits out several copies of the Employee record to display all the ranges.
