Reports :: Grid Line On Bottom / Last Record Of Report
Oct 25, 2013I created a report that only has gridlines around the outside border of the entire report (rather than around each record). I want the grid line style on the last/bottom record to be solid so it boxes in all the records. When I change the "Gridline Style Bottom" for the records, each record has a bottom gridline rather than an outside box around all the records.

Aug 2, 2015I create several reports for several different companies. Report data is the same but the report header data changes based on the company selected. All works well until I attempted to add their individual logos. I have tried many of the suggested methods both here and elsewhere to set the image path in Image.picture and image.control source. But I get "windows can't open file". Access 2010 on Windows10 insists on using the insert picture window when i select an image control. There is a drop down in the property sheet. I've gotten it to work a couple times but then its gone after restart.
The header data comes from a table [Company] which has the fields - name, addr, phone, path to image, and active(yes/no)

Oct 30, 2013I'm producing PDF reports in a VBA routine in Access through the DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputReport.
The routine works great, however i have now a new requirement and i need to change the report header so to if Country X is selected in a drop-down menu, then only image X is shown on the report header; if country Y is selected then only image Y is shown on report header.
I was simply thinking to make this through the "visible" option of the image, however it doesn't work because i get error "report must be open".

May 23, 2014I am having a problem with the code in the Close event on a report when asking the user if they want to view additional reports after closing the current report in preview. Report Closes after the Yes/No answer is selected. If yes selected it does nothing. Nov 12, 2013How to turn a single long (page spanning) column of data into "snaking columns" or "newspaper-style columns," but all of the results are only available in Print or Print Preview. I am looking for a way to have the correct, multi-column, result visible in Report View on the screen.
The reports I am formatting will not be printed onto paper; they will be seen only on screen. The data will vary depending on the source table, some have records that are about 200 records long, and others are only 50 or so. The number of columns across the page will need to be dynamic depending the total number of records the report pulls in.
Reports :: Data Disappears In Report View
Sep 5, 2013I have two related issues with reports. That is the data shows in report view and then disappears. The first is the simplest. I have a report that has a query recordsource and I calculate totals and populate the report in the OnLoad event using VBA code. This displays perfectly in "report view" and prints or exports fine. My issue is that after the print or export, the report has no data in my fields in "report view". It is like it is reloading the report without invoking the OnLoad event. When I close the report and re-open in report view, everything is fine again until I print.
The second issue is related. I have another report that is a bit more complicated. Due to the number of controls (I use many text boxes to display my calculations), I am using 3 subreports to get around the limitations in the number of controls. In report view, the report looks fine, but when I scroll down to the bottom and then back up, the text boxes in the subreport sections are empty. The parts of the report not in subreports is fine. By using "Msgboxes" in events, I discovered that when I scroll down, the subreports close, then re-open when I scroll back up. Again, due to an Access limitation of 22 inches per section, the I placed the subreports in the "report Header" section. It appears that my problem occurs when I scroll down to the "detail" section of the main report.

May 9, 2015Im creating a database that we can enter jobs into.A job will consist of 3 seperate parts, Called "Trusses", "Walls", "Posis". They will each have a different delivery date and possibly a delivery time.
I am having trouble creating a report that gives me a week view, Monday to Friday, that shows what deliveries are on each day.The main thing here is there is one job entry, with the 3 parts. So there will need to be 3 seperate entries on the report for each part of that job.

When I wrote the report I grouped on mon/year then on Early/Late, then calculate averages. I then want to calculate the difference in the charges between the Early & Late rows. Here....

Now I want to subtract the 27 from the 116. I figured out I could assign the 27 to a field in the header and the 116 in the footer, that's the only way I could make them "stick". I then calculate the difference and things are great. Until I try to print it. When I print the difference is 0 because the group header & footer fields are both populated with the 27.

How To View Images In A Database
Apr 3, 2012I am working on a computer task for school and i want to add a field to a database that displays pictures of different kinds of fish. I've been searching for a solution on the internet the whole morning, but i cant seem to get it right. Some sights recommend inserting an OLE object, while others say i should insert the paths in a textfield. The second option sounded the best, but how do i insert the path and how do i get the database to display the pictures? I know the images should be saved in the same file in the database. Can I only insert bitmap images or is it possible to use jpeg?

Jun 12, 2013I've got a report/invoice that i want to print out with a simple header picture for the company. For reasons i cannot fathom the picture will not print. Print preview, Report view, print as PDF, XPS and even copy to a word doc all display the picture, but when i send it to any printer the header does not show.I have checked every setting i can find.
Visible = Yes
Display when = Always
deleted, save and closed, re-inputted, still nothing.
compact and repair after delete re-input after compact, still nothing.
Added the file to local directory, still not showing
I can even add a border around the picture which it will print but not the image itself.I've tried .png .jpg and .jpeg file types (Same image its just a logo).

I have a Customer table that has a field "PostalCode" that is numerical an is connected to a field called PostalID in a table called PostalCode and has the actual postal code stored in a field call Pcode.
I have everything working ok as far as displaying the correct Pcode on the various forms. eg: is the PostalID is 10, I want the form to display the Pcode of 2000.
I can't figure out how to display the Pcode in a report.....

Aug 11, 2014I would like to ask about on how to display my attached pictures to my report. I'm using MS Access 2007 and I have a table names:
Projects - ProjectID, ProjectName, StartDate, EndDate;
Task - TaskID, ProjectID, TaskName, Pictures;
Picture datatype is Attachment and it is multi-valued field so I created a query to extract picture per ProjectID and to be used as a Subreport. Query results shown below:

Now, I have created the sub report and linked it Project table. Result is the pictures add up vertically or downward where there is a big space on the right side, I want to have it from left to right or horizontally.
