Reports :: Automated Sending Report By Email
Jan 8, 2015Every month I have to make a report about registration of hours of a group of employees. (These employees have a deal with direction about travel hours vs. working hours).This report has to be send to the group members but only the data which is valid for the group member in it. There are 11 persons in this group so I have to send 11 reports.
I made a query with the hours registered from this group. I couldn't export it because it was read-only. That was because the query contains joins to the employee table. After that I tried it with a report. That nearly went well but it contained all data and not the seperated info.What I need to know:What is easier/better: use a query or use a report?Is there code which looks in my query or the report and makes it into seperated reports?I've tried the code of Tony Hine but I can't make it work.After that I need to do a mail-merge. But first of all do I need to make the seperated reports to work.
Automated Email Report
Mar 24, 2006I have set up a process to automatically email reports from MS Access 2006. Everything would would perfectly except that when the process runs, a messagbox pops up stating that 'an unknown prgram is trying to send an email on your behalf'. Before the email is sent you have to click on the button to allow sending. I need this program to run very early in the morning when no one is around to click the button.
I have tried several things to get a round this by digitally signing my Access project and setting up certificates in outlook but nothing has worked.
Is there any way around this without lowering my security level, my antivirus or antispyware software?

Aug 3, 2015I have an automated email system (Lotus Notes) in a Access database I have created and am looking for the code needed to add up to 3 c.c addresses into an email prior to sending automatically.
The code I have to send the email to the To: individual is all working but what code I need to add and where for the c.c addresses of which there could be 1, 2 or 3. The control for To address is EmailTo = CustCopyEmail The controls for the 3 c.c emails are cc_EmailAddress, cc_EmailAddress1 and cc_EmailAddress2.

Reports :: Filtering Report To Only Show Current Month Report?
Nov 16, 2014The aim of what I am doing is to create a monthly statement to give to our intermediaries that shows the commission they will receive each month for the deals they have referred. I have managed to create this report, HOWEVER I can't figure out how to filter out which month I need, so I a report for Jan, Feb Mar etc... The idea is that at the end of each month I need to run the report so only the latest month shows...

Reports :: VBA Report To Generate PDF And Email
Jan 20, 2015I found the vba to generate multiple pdf's from a single report which is working well (see below).
The script below generates about 15 pdf files and stores them in the specified directory
I'd like to be able to now email these to the individual users (SCNAME) but cannot work out where to start, i've tried a lot of things from the research on emailing, just not working.
All the information I need is in one table which includes the users email address field (SCemail).
I've also created an update query which generates a unique file name into the field (SCInstallDate) (currently not using this field data)

After much frustration and hair pulling I have managed to get the code below to work.. It prints out reports from access one at a time cycling through the list of schools in our county. My question is that I would like to save each report with a filename eg KS1_3000_version1.pdf where 3000 is the unique school ID.
So my question is how can I get the code/acrobat to save my file in a desired location with a pre-specified filename?
this would make the whole process a real click of a button! I know it is possible because we have a national database that does the same thing.. but I cannot crack the backend to see the code

Reports :: Automated Rotating Schedule
May 2, 2013What I would like to accomplish is to make a report similar to this, except make it automated so I won't have to change the dates. Users would be able to bring up a current schedule without worry that it's updated or not. The schedule repeats itself every 6 weeks. I made a cross-tab query, but I must admit that I'm not too familiar with working on them.

Aug 30, 2006I have a multi-layered question regarding setting up an access database for fluid samples sent in by a customer.
Ideal Setup:
The database would prompt me for the Sample ID number which is a unique code we give to each sample. It would then prompt me for the customer name and if given an existing customer name it would pull up all the contact information for the customer. It would then prompt me for the machine ID# that the sample came from, from which it will pull up the data from 10 previous reports and place into the current report.
I would then input the current data for the sample after analyzing it. I then have an automated control to convert the report to a .pdf file and send it via outlook. It would also be nice if the report was uploaded onto a website that the customer could access, but this is a whole different issue.
Is this setup possible with Access 03 and if so is it even remotely possible for a newbie like me to create? Additionally, what would the time investment be for a project like this for a beginner? Are there any other more effecients ways or programs to accomplish this level of automation?

Automated Per Record Report Distribution
Jun 11, 2015automated per-record report distribution. In my system there is a report generated with a record for every person that must be sent out to them on a periodic basis. Ideally I would like to send them out in batch(5000+ records) so that each person receives theirs via E-mail. I am not too worried about the format. Each persons record contains their E-mail address so that should make things easier.

Jun 15, 2015I am editing a database that provides the option of creating custom reports, where the user can input a date range of their choice and receive aggregate data for that time frame. Although all of the numbers in the report are correct, I am having trouble with a chart that I inserted into the report.
Specifically, if the date range requested spans 2 calendar years (i.e. April 2014 through January 2015), the data for January 2015 appears at the beginning of the year (so the chart x-axis is for Jan through Dec, and the Jan 2015 data is showing up in Jan (as if it was 2014, not the end of the given range in 2015). When I try with smaller time frames within a calendar year, it adjusts just fine (i.e. shrinking the window so just March-May is displayed on the graph).
How to adjust the axis so that it properly records the data range- so that it would start the axis with April and end in January, for example?

May 1, 2006For the record, I have indeed searched the forum for help with this, but no luck so far, so here goes. (C++ programmer, little background in access).
I have a table that stores a person's name, gross amount spent, gst spent, pst spent, and total amount spent.
I need to be able to create a query or something that asks me to enter a year, and it will sum up the amounts, gst, and pst over the course of that year, and print it neatly on screen.
Also, I need to be able to create a similar query that asks for a year and a month (does access possess Java's ability to easily create a pop-up calendar applet-like instance that provides a GUI for selecting months/years, or does the data need to be entered through a command prompt?) which will create a month-end report in the same manner, but only spans a 1 month period?
Any information that could be provided to me, even a means of getting started on this problem, would be great. Thank you and cheers everyone!
