The first part of the request is to capitalise all the below fields, when they appear on my report in addition to removing any <null> values. I can't seem to get them both in the format area

Help With Address Format Please

Hi - I am importing information into my database of customers names and addresses. The country part of the address comes in 2 letter code - eg AU = Australia, IT = Italy etc. What I would like is to change these to the actual country name. Is there a neat way of doing this? I am thinking doing a whole line of if then, but it all looks really messy.

Tables :: Web Address Field Format

Designing a table of companies.

Need a field containing the website adresse for each company.

MS-Access 2013 does not offer such a field format.

On a form I can create it, click on it and it will open the website.

But that way it opens the same website instead of different websites for different companies.

I tried the hyperlink format but it did not work.

Send Report (PDF Format) Individually By Email Address

I need to send the report using DoCmd.SendObject. However, I need to send it based on each tech's job via email.

Currently all tech and jobs on the reports together. I need it to pull the email address and only send to that tech its jobs.

Currently I'm using the basic vba code

DoCmd.SendObject acSendReport, "R_DispatchInspectors", acFormatPDF, "email@me.com", , , "Job number", "Please see attached", False

However do I allows this to send individual report connected to email address. (Which will have each tech's specific jobs sent to them only).

table name: Inspectors (this one have their email address)
Table name: JObs
Report name: R_DispatchInspectors

Reports :: Force Actual Page Not Column Breaks In Label Reports

I print a report onto labels (Avery 5960: 3 columns of 10 labels on a letter sized piece of paper). The report and labels print fine BUT...

I need physical page breaks between certain sections. When I click on "keep whole group together on one page" in the "group by" section of the report, it starts a new COLUMN of labels (which Access sees as a new page), but does not force an actual new piece of paper.

How can I force a real page break?

Forms :: Format Painter On Controls With Associated Label

In previous versions of Access, certainly up to 2003, if you used the Format Painter to copy the format of a control to another, if those controls had associated labels then the format - and more importantly positioning of the label relative to the control - were also copied over. So for example if you had a column of controls on a form, you could format the first control and align its label correctly etc, and then use the format painter to quickly make it consistent down the column.

Access 2010 doesn't seem to do this. If I use format painter on a control, the format of the control gets altered correctly, but the associated label does not move and its format does not change.

This is difficult where you have several controls and you want to position the label associated with each consistently.

Reports :: Check If Client Has Email Address

I currently have details of my clients in a table called tblSites, this tble includes a field with an email address. I currently produce a invoice which is automatically saved as a pdf and an email generated with the invoice attached. However, a few clients do not have email addresses (these are sent by post). My code (see below) will successfully produce the email with the attachment, but if the client does NOT have an email address in the tblSites it comes up with the "Invalid use of Null" error. What I want it to do is continue the process of just saving the invoice with a Msgbox stating "This Client does not have an email address etc etc.

I have a button that when i click it it will send the report via email, but the email address has to be a variable so when the report is created i can use the email that is attached to the report data.

Reports :: Shrink Blank Address Fields When There Is Other Data?

I designed and used an Access 2003 for some time but I have recently updated to Access 2013 and want to rejig and improve my database. My query is that I need to print invoices from my database, there is a header section with my details, then a section with the customers name and address at the left hand side, and the invoice details such as invoice number, invoice date, PO number, credit terms, etc. at the right hand side. I would like to remove any blank lines from the customers address but to still have the invoice details at the right formatted and spaced correctly. Is there any way of doing this, the canshrink property will not work due to the invoice details which still need to be printed to the right?

I have a report reading directly from a table. Table has a text field "txtOldState" where the field data a 10 digit number.

Also have a directory with .png files named with same 10 digit number. The txt field is on the report - I need to print the associated .png file on the report along with the 10 digit "txtOldState" field. I'm failing at pulling a png from the folder to print on report.

I am trying to set up a report and I need to separate the check box from the label. For example, the label reads CASH and has a check box. I want the label CASH to be the header and the check box to be underneath, but I can't seem to separate the two. How do I slide the check box down to the Detail row and leave the Header in the Page Header row?

I've created labels in my database and when I print them on a label printer, I get a blank label in between my printed labels. I've checked the printer settings and properties and can't find anything. I've also checked the database properties and can't find anything. Is there something in the database that I'm missing?

I have to print address labels. 10 x 3.8 cm labels 2 per row 14 per page on an A4 paper. Pretty straightforward one should say. But no. I play around with the margins, column heights and widths, row and column spacing page size wasting time. Is there a hidden and not documented relationship between those elements? For example how is the column height and row spacing linked together? How is this normally done in a professional way?

I am making labels to stick on containers that we're shipping out. Some shipments will have only 1 container and some will have more than 1.Can I have it repeat a label if there are more than 1 container for an order?

For example:
Shipment 1 has 3 containers. The label says "3 x DM" and it will make one label.

Can I set it somehow to print that label three times? What about adding incremental text, e.g. 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3?

Reports :: Text Label Conditionally Visible On Report?

I'm running Access 2003 and my question relates to delivery notes that are produced for drivers as reports. These delivery notes have a blank payment box for the driver to complete if the customer pays upon delivery.

As more and more customers are prepaying by credit cards, I'd like this payment box to be automatically filled with a "PAID" text which will let the driver know the order has already been paid for.

The delivery note is produced from an "Orders" table which has a "Paid" field whose value is automatically set to "Yes" when the order has been paid for.

I was hoping to be able to place a "PAID" label on the report which is only visible when the Paid field of the underlying query is Yes.

As things are at the moment I cannot see any way to put any conditional statement onto this Text/Label. The only options for the "Is Visible" property of the text are Yes or No.

I have a report that displays on a continuous style report. What courses the employee have been on and when they expire

right I have field call expirydate and another call dayover showing the number of days till that course has expired also I have made a label called Expired1

now what I'm trying to do.....

if the expirydate has passed I want the expired1 label to be visible and dayover field to become invisible
