Reports :: How To Get Link Address To Image In A Report
Dec 4, 2013
I want to get the link adress to an image in a report using VBA. I use the following code:
PHP Code:
Dim strPath As String
strPath = [CurrentProject].[Path] & "builder" & FirstImage
If Not Right(strPath, 7) = "bilder" Then
Me.huvudbild.Picture = strPath
Else
Me.huvudbild.Picture = [CurrentProject].[Path] & "builder\_tom.jpg"
End If
I get the following error (translated from Swedish): Error: 2424 The expression contains a field, a control or a property name that MS access couldnt find.
I am using vista and access 2010, what I want is to be able to email a report from access that was created by a form with DoCmd.OpenReport "ReportOrder", acViewReport. I have a button that when i click it it will send the report via email, but the email address has to be a variable so when the report is created i can use the email that is attached to the report data.
I have a report reading directly from a table. Table has a text field "txtOldState" where the field data a 10 digit number.
Also have a directory with .png files named with same 10 digit number. The txt field is on the report - I need to print the associated .png file on the report along with the 10 digit "txtOldState" field. I'm failing at pulling a png from the folder to print on report.
I am trying to have a macro button so when I click it it Emails to a particular person but also prints off a copy.it all works fine but for some reason it wont print the image off, my macro is as below
I have a database used for several product lines. Depending on the product line selected, I need to add an image to my report as the header for it. I need to store the images (there are only 3) in the database and cannot have an external link to them. Have been trying to figure out the best way to do this and I am finding both OLE Objects and Image Objects.
I have a report which gets it's records from a table which has OLE Object data type being a "file.jpg". can I get the image to show in the report print view and also print it with the report?
I am running Access 2013. I have created a report where the tables are linked to a SQL DB
I am trying to run a sales report that includes an stored image.
I am adding an Image and then using the control source to look up the 'filepath' stored in the DB. When I run the report on screen all the images are showing but when I try to print it (including exporting to PDF or XPS) and Print Preview only 2 of the 9 images print per page. The images are around 2-4 Mb.
I'm guessing its to do with the files sizes but cannot do anything about the size.
I have an image within the attachment field on a table. The particular table is not linked with the data within the report.I tried to use DLookup but found it only showed the picture name i.e. signature.png..How can I display an image (in fact the only image) in the attachement field on another table within the report?
My student is doing a project on question paper generation in which he selects questions from each lesson needed and also some of these questions have images associated with them. So, if these questions are selected, the image control in the report displays it.
If there is no image, the space for the control is left in tact. I tried changing the visible property for the image control in the Detail_Format event procedure. But this code is not reached at all and the space is still left. I am not storing the image directly in the field but its path in a text field.
I want that the space occupied by the image control removed. I tried the suppression thing but obviously it did not work.
I have a database that I use for keeping track of clients and printing invoices using a form/sub-form and report/sub-report. I want an image to be visible on my sub-report when I choose Received Payment in my sub-form. Right now I have my image set to visible = no.
i have a cars database because it is difficult to add 4000 pictures i want to know if is it possible to add a field that opens an ie page in google images to show results of images for that car? ex : model : Ferrari foto link :http://images.google.com.gr/images?hl=el&lr=&q=Ferrari&btnG=%CE%91%CE%BD%CE%B1%CE%B6%CE%AE%CF%84%CE%B7%CF %83%CE%B7
I have an address field containing "City", Street Name, and street Address. How do I link these fields together on a form so that when I enter data into the "City" field the rest of the fields making up the address fills in?
I am using asp and database to store info for example link addresses. Unfortunately, they have become stored in database column with a # on either side. I have tried find and replace but this does not work on # symbol. It can not be stored as a hyperlink because I need my website to extract info from remote database and then display info in results page as a hyperlink. Works fine if I remove them by hand but there are 3000 of them!
I'd like to put a button in a form that when clicked opens an image on the computer, the location of which is already specified in a field called RefImage.
When I change the hyperlink property I can only have the button open a folder or internet address rather than a unique image for each individual record.
If I use the code builder for the event on click and try to write Application.FollowHyperlink RefImage it gives me error message 490 that it Cannot Open the Specified File, but this is probably because I don't know how to write VBA.
Any simple way to make a button on a form open an image in IE or windows image viewer which has a path specified within a field of the form? Perhaps someway to use the Application.FollowHyperlink, clearly I am doing something wrong.
I'm using Access 2013. I have a directory on my hard drive that contains hundreds of image files. The name of the image file matches a field in the Access table, which are unique. I would like to match those files to the unique number in the table and create a link in a field. How would I go about this.
The first part of the request is to capitalise all the below fields, when they appear on my report in addition to removing any <null> values. I can't seem to get them both in the format area
my fields are
Title Fname Sname Address1 Address2 Address3 Town Postal
I currently have details of my clients in a table called tblSites, this tble includes a field with an email address. I currently produce a invoice which is automatically saved as a pdf and an email generated with the invoice attached. However, a few clients do not have email addresses (these are sent by post). My code (see below) will successfully produce the email with the attachment, but if the client does NOT have an email address in the tblSites it comes up with the "Invalid use of Null" error. What I want it to do is continue the process of just saving the invoice with a Msgbox stating "This Client does not have an email address etc etc.
'Save Invoice as PDF and annotate Invoice Number, Date and site name
Dim StrFile As String Dim slSQLString As String Dim rsEmailAddress As Recordset Dim slEmailAddress As String StrFile = "C:Redwatch Invoices" & Forms!frminvoice!txtInvoiceNr.Value _ & "-" & Format(Date, "dd-mmm-yy") & "-" & Forms!frminvoice!cboSiteName & ".pdf"
I have a database that I migrate to different locations as we change stations (military). I keep the master on my C: drive and then put a copy onto the shared network drive. I keep my images in a subfolder of the master db.
example:
C:Pirate (master db) C:Piratedbfiles (where I store the images)
I have the images "linked" on the forms to the subfolder "dbfiles" that is on the shared drive. However, as we change locations the drive letter changes for the shared drive. I want to make a "relative" link to the pictures in the properties box as so:
Piratedbfilesimage1.jpg or dbfilesimage1.jpg
However, it keeps putting the C: in front of the text or else it won't find the images. I desire it to look in the subfolder of the active db (whether or not it is on the LAN or hard drive).
I know I can embed the images, but that exponentially increases the size of the db. I've played around with putting them in a table, but couldn't make that work either.
I designed and used an Access 2003 for some time but I have recently updated to Access 2013 and want to rejig and improve my database. My query is that I need to print invoices from my database, there is a header section with my details, then a section with the customers name and address at the left hand side, and the invoice details such as invoice number, invoice date, PO number, credit terms, etc. at the right hand side. I would like to remove any blank lines from the customers address but to still have the invoice details at the right formatted and spaced correctly. Is there any way of doing this, the canshrink property will not work due to the invoice details which still need to be printed to the right?
I created a report to print out a letter that will be sent to all of our clients. In the address section of the letter there are two field for adresses...Address1 and Address2. One is for a street address and the other for a PO Box. Not all of the clients have a PO Box and for these, I do not want the blank line to show in the address. For example:
John Doe 3 Main Street
Franklin, MA 02038
The field and section of the report are set to "can shrink" and "can grow", but it still gives me a blank line in the address for the clients that do not have a PO Box. What else do I have to do?
My printer does not have a "print mirror image" setting. Is there a way to create a report that would show on the screen as a mirror image?
The application here is that the informartion would be printed on iron-on material and then transferred to a t-shirt as a souvenir. Currently, I do a screen capture, crop and flip the image in Adobe and then print it, but I would like to set it up so that anyone could use the database without my intervention nor using a second application. Reducing steps users need to take is a must.
I have to print address labels. 10 x 3.8 cm labels 2 per row 14 per page on an A4 paper. Pretty straightforward one should say. But no. I play around with the margins, column heights and widths, row and column spacing page size wasting time. Is there a hidden and not documented relationship between those elements? For example how is the column height and row spacing linked together? How is this normally done in a professional way?
The query Q_CurrentJobs is a list of jobs to send to the tech for today. (These are open jobs queried).
I need to run this query on the report (R_CurrentJObs) and send the report to each tech based on their individual jobs. The jobs are connected to each tech by its TechID.
The report list the job information for each tech (JOb number, Location details etc.)
When I click the button to send the email. I want to email each tech individually based on the Q_CurrentJobs query using R_CurrentJobs. (DoCmd.SendObject)
