I just imported all of my objects (tables, forms, etc.) into a brand new database file and all of my forms are now full screen instead of the size I set them to in design. What caused this? I can't get them back to their normal size.
I am using Access 2007 but imported files into 2003 .mdb file.

How it should look?

I have a report which is accessed via a hyperlink in a form. I have the default view for the report set to Print Preview yet everytime I click the link the report opens in report view which I don't want.
The event for the hyperlink is as follows:
Private Sub cmdPrint_Click()
Dim strWhere As String
If Me.Dirty Then 'Save any edits.
Me.Dirty = False
End If
[Code] .....
I have tried changing "acViewPreview" to "acViewReport" and "acViewNormal" and each time it is either going straight to print or opening in report view. I just want the report to open in print preview mode so I can decide if to print a hard copy or send to pdf.

I have an existing report generated in Access 2007 that is currently in Portrait mode and I want to reformat the data so that it fits into Landscape mode.
The report consists of a main report and 2 subrports.
I have managed to do the majority of the reformatting to both the main and subreports except that I can't figure out how to change the layout of the actual data that is displayed.
What I'm talking about is the "slider" control (if this is what you call it) that is displayed on on the main report.
I have attached a few screen shots ....

I'm working on a database that produces employee contracts. To make it look as professional as possible I hide the Access main window when the splash screen loads using the ShowWindow function. The various forms to check and enter details all pop up without any problem, but when I get to the last stage where I use a report to produce the contract and then open it in PrintPreview mode, it won't display (unless I show the main window again , which looks very untidy!). Is it actually possible to display a report with the main Access window hidden?

I have created a custom menu used on my reports which contains all the icons I need and anchored them to the right side of the report. I have been able to remove the min, max and the close icons from the default report menu bar at the top right hand side as well as the "Ask A Question" dropdown. But I am not able to remove the "Restore window" button that comes with the report print preview.
How do I remove the "Restore Window" icon from the report's menu bar?
I'm using Access 2003...

I have created a report with a subreport for my database. The user selects the project for which he/she wants to see a report. Once the project is selected, the report is displayed in a popup window and maximized in the print preview layout. This allows the user to view and read the report. Once this is done, there are no buttons or menus on the screen that allows the user to send the report to a printer or file.
Other than the report, there are minimize / maximize and close buttons at the top right of the window and page selection buttons at the bottom left of the window. If the user wants to print the report, they must either hit ctrl-P or right click the mouse on the screen to display a menu from which the user can select print to open a print dialog box. Is there any way to add a button or menu to the print preview that appears on the screen to make printing easier?

We have been calling a main form to manage yacht races using a hyperlink/macro from a selection form which lists all the yacht races ..The main form was too big to fit on some screens so we changed it to pop up mode to allow it to be resized and use scroll bars. this works well when the form is opened manually and all functions run just fine
the hyperlinik/macro for race selection had originally been set up to call the main form in dialog mode but we have had to change this as it disabled the resizing of the form and the scroll bars..The macro tool doesn't offer pop up mode so i selected window mode = normal and the main form opens with a resizable window and scroll bars but all the functions called from this module now fail (error message = use of null value or similar and all the functions go into debug mode - the server is down and i can't access the system to get the exact details)
If i change the macro in the selection form back to window mode = dialog the functions work but i lose the resizing of the main form and and the scroll bars.

So I have a report that opens via Parameter. The SQL behind the query that runs the report is (I took out alot of lines that aren't necessary to answer the question)
PARAMETERS [Enter Your Box Id] Short;
SELECT DocumentsTable.OrganizationalID,
.
.
.
DocumentsTable.Status
FROM DepartmentsTable INNER JOIN (Year1 INNER JOIN DocumentsTable ON Year1.ID = DocumentsTable.RecordDateYearID) ON DepartmentsTable.ID = DocumentsTable.DepartmentID
WHERE (((DocumentsTable.Voided)<>'Y' Or (DocumentsTable.Voided) Is Null) AND ((DocumentsTable.ID)=[Enter Your Box ID]));
So if I click on the report, I get a little popup that says "Enter Your Box ID", and when I do, the report works just as expected.
However, I also want to be able to open this report via link from another report, and pass the Box ID #. I just can't get the syntax right. I would have thought it was this:
Private Sub ID_Click()
DoCmd.OpenReport "Find A Box", acViewReport, , "[Enter Your Box Id]=" & Me.ID
End Sub
However when that execute, I still get the pop up asking for "Enter Your Box ID"

Basically when I click a button on a form I want it to run a report but only when certain criteria are met as entered in the 'Where Condition' box. I've managed to do this successfully when it is an equal to query but I now want to run a 'contains' query and don't really know where to start.
I have a text box on the form labelled [Desc] and I want the report to pull records where any text entered in the [Desc] text box is contained in the fields [Used Stock]![Model]

I have a database with loads of different sales data from Jan 2014 with other product details as well. I also have a form where the user can input any of these data (this is based on a query):
- Campaign name
- Exact Date
- Month
- Year
- Category
- Campaign Type
This should run the query, then open a report that's grouped by:
1. Year
2. Month
3. Exact Date
4. Dem name
Even if the user inputs the month and year on the form, when reopening the report, it prompts for inputting the year and month as well, but nothing else.

I've made a query and designed a report for it. Simply it includes:
Area code, customer name, other customer details.
I want other people, when they click on the report to be given a drop down box which allows them to choose a specific area code before it generate the report. So, for example, they just want to look at Yorkshire region records, they choose Yorkshire from the drop down box and it'll generate the Yorkshire report. I've searched around but can't find what these are called.

I am trying to run a report based on a combobox selection. I have three different reports, each for the three different items in the combo box. I just don't know how to code it so when I run the report, it picks up the name in the combo box and opens the correct report. This is what my code looks like for the button that will run the report:
Private Sub Command7_Click()
DoCmd.OpenReport ("Signers Authorized for Check Writing"), acViewPreview, , WhereCondition = [BTrans] = "Check Writing"
DoCmd.OpenReport ("Signers Authorized for Stop Payment"), acViewPreview, , WhereCondition = [BTrans] = "Stop Payments"
DoCmd.OpenReport ("Signers Authorized for Wires"), acViewPreview, , WhereCondition = [BTrans] = "Wires"
End Sub
The problem is, that as soon as I hit the Run Report button, all three reports open up, so it is not reading what is in the combo box. The quotes, "Check Writing" , "Stop Payments" and "Wires" are the actual selections in the combobox and [BTrans] is the name of the combobox.

I have a main Form "Client" that shows details such as Representatives, phone numbers, status, etc. I also have a main report "CRM" that is a nicer summarized table version of all of my Client form entries.
The "CRM" form will be used by others in my office to see what clients we are contacting, etc. What I want to be able to do is have someone open the CRM form first. If they want to see even more specific info (not everything is included in the report, as that would be too messy), I want them to be able to double click the Client's name on the report and be taking to the corresponding entry on the Client form that shows more details.
Right now my code for the Report which is not working is the following:
Private Sub Client_Name_DblClick()'double click on a client name in the reportDoCmd.OpenForm "Client", acNormal, , "[Client_Name]='" & [Client_Name]'this should open the Client Form to the record of the same client that was double clicked on the reportEnd Sub

Hi.
I have put much time in designing a form.
After exiting and saving it, I cannot now open it. Only the Page Header shows, and I cannot get into 'Design' mode. I have tried repairing and compacting to no avail.
Any ideas?

I just finished a small Access-2013 database (accdb format).
Now I want to make it available to users.
How do I make an 'executable' (meaning that tables, forms, ... cannot be opened in design mode)?

I'm using Access 2007. I have a few problems:
1. I have a switchboard. I want to click a button, that opens a form with a dropdown list, when I make my selection, it opens a subform in add mode, but the linked field in the subform isn't empty, but filled with the mainform's field value that I selected?
OR
2. Is there a way for me to open a form in add mode, add data to it, click the add button (I will add an add button) that allows me to add again, but this time a particular field is not empty, but filled with selected info from previous selection?
Say for instance, I have 2 fields (both combo box fields), I click add, made selections for both fields, I click add again, but this time one of the fields stays constant like it's already been selected. It's filled with what was selected from before.
Either of those 2 - which ever is simpler.

My application is developed in Access 2003 version. Recently we moved from Access 2003 to Access 2010. Now users are facing usability issues like - in Access 2003 all the forms are opening in different windows and they can move to forms easily. But in Access 2010 all the Forms are opening in same window, if they want to move to different forms then they need to close the current window or press ctrl+F6. How can I enable/open forms multiple window in Access 2010.

I have a weird problem with one of my databases. Out of a sudden, when I wanted to open that database the databse window did not show up anymore. With this I can not access my forms, tables etc. any longer. However, when I click on View->Databaseobjects and choose e.g Forms than I can click on the code icon and I can access my code as well as the corresponing form in the design view. I can not access the tables but when I click on the "show fields" in the design view the list of fileds is showing for the corresponding form.
I tried that database on 3 different PC's with the same effect.
Does anybody have an idea what could have caused that the database window is not showing anymore and/or how could I bring that window back.
Thanks for any help and advice
Josef

I am using Access 2010 and creating a front-end for a customer database.
Take a look at the screen capture I added to this post.
What I want to happen is on that "Supplier" button. When I click on it, it opens a new window with the "Supplier" form and on the specific supplier for this product. There is an attached image of what that macro looks like.
The problem I am having is that I do not want the Supplier form to open in a new window, I want it to open within the Navigation Form, replacing the what is currently on the screen.
