I have a perameter query that tracks everyone's time on different projects. When they click on the command button to run the query they are asked for the current start data and end date (this is loaded into the date field within the query on the criteria cell). When they click on this query I would like them to only be able to view the current month instead of any date range. The query is set up on a short date format and I have tried some diffent combinations but can't figure out exactly what to put into the criteria. Any help would be great.

Hi,
I hoping someone can assist me here, I've looked through the forum for other date related threads raised, but none seem to assist me with what I need to achieve.
I have created a query with an appropriate date field, and I am can't seem to work out how to write the correct formulae to get the query to only show data with a date range for the current month only.
I don't want the user to be prompted to enter any information, I want the query to automatically always, when in the current month only show data for the current month.
Any assistance would be most appreciated.

I have the following code that should populate the current month date range in the startdate and endDate fields of a form. I do the same thing for the current year and that works great. Can someone tell me what is wrong with the code for the month button. It displays 1/9/07 - 2/8/07. If the current month is September, it should give date ranges from 9/01/07 - 9/30/07.
Private Sub cmdmonth_Click()
'Sets the Date From and Date To text boxes
'to show complete month (from start to end of current month)
Me!StartDate = CDate("01/" & Month(Date) & "/" & YEAR(Date))
Me!EndDate = DateAdd("d", -1, DateAdd("mm", 1, Me!StartDate))
End Sub
The code below works great for the year. It displays 1/1/2007 - 12/31/07
Private Sub cmdyear_Click()
'Sets the Date From and Date To text boxes
'to show complete current year
Me!StartDate = CDate("01/01/" & YEAR(Date))
Me!EndDate = DateAdd("d", -1, DateAdd("yyyy", 1, Me!StartDate))
End Sub
Hello,
I am a little familiar with Access but having a problem figuring out how to alert a user that the date entered on a form is not the current month. I was hoping to have a warning msgbox pop up alerting the user. I am trying to prevent incorrect date entry.
Thank you very much
I have a table with those fields:
Name date(d,m,y)
John smith 1/2/2013
Mary loe 25/2/2013
Mary loe 1/3/2013
Jim tonel 3/3/2012
Jim tonel 5/3/2012
I want to create a report or query that will calculate how many times a name appears in current month(03/2013) and if not it should return 0.
For example the report or query should look like this:
Name count
John smith 0
Mary loe 1
Jim tonel 2
I am trying to query any date before current month. My data is employee start dates, thus my end aim is to pick up all employees at end of last month.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to take today's date and calculate the last day of the last month? Without the user needing to enter any parameters. In other words, if I ran the query today with this criteria, it would only show information for April 30, 2013. Is that possible?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a short date field 5/20/2014
I would like to set up a conditional format to format those fields in the current month. For example, this month is would format all fields with "5".
Next month all fields with "6"
In the month space.
I can't seem to figure out the expression, I know I'm close.
I have written a user defined function that calculates the end of the current month. This I named EndOfThisMonth. It works well as a function. Now I would like to use it as date criteria to include in a query. The function is included as such EndOfThisMonth().
The field on which this function is to enter as a criteria is another calculated date function called Due.
When I run this query I get an error message saying Undefined Function 'EndOfThisMonth' in expression.
I have a table full of dates of meetings through out the year...
Example
tMeetingDates
16th August 2005
18th September 2005
19th October 2005
23rd November
-----
i also have a report that i print out each month that has the date of the meeting on it... i currently edit the date manually.
I was wondering if there was a way to automate this facility, so that the report looked to the table of dates and looked for the current Months Date that is stored i the table.
i then want this date to be displayed in the Report.
So in this instance if i am running a report for tomorrows meeting being the 19th October it would display that date in the report....regardless of when i run the report...
Obviously if i run the report on the first of November because the month has changed it would then display the date of the November Meeting...
we only ever have one meeting a month!!!!
Please help

I'm trying to create a query inside VBA code.
the problem is that my query is a select query and therefore I can't use RunSQL
I tried to work around it withbut had no luck... this is the code:
strSql = "SELECT '" & Me.number & "' ,Karin.[subject] " & "From Karin " & "WHERE '" & Me.number & "'" = done
I have a db that is a checkbook register. I use a field in each transaction record to tell whether the transaction is current or is a future transaction (if it is in the future then it doesn't yet affect my balance). For instance, if the item is not scheduled to be paid for two weeks (I schedule payments with online banking), I check the "future item" box, then that record for that item isn't included in the report that tells me my current balance. How can I automatically take away that check mark on records when the date in that record becomes todays date (or before today)? Because at that point it is no longer a "future" transaction but is current. I could do this manually but it seems like there should be a way to do it automatically.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to export records to excel that are in a given month based on an input month. I have a master form named frmCustomer. I then have a set of tabs (not the navigation tabs) embedded within frmCustomer. The tabs are Invoice (frmInvoice), Contacts *frmContacts), Notes (frmNotes) and Orders (frmOrders). All form are Single Form. There is another form named frmInv that displays an invoice in a formatted manner. frmINV gets its data from a q1uery called InvQ.
It has a criteria that reads [Forms}![frmInvoice]![Invoice_ID]. I placed a button on frmInvoice that calls frmInv. If I run frmInvoice separately outside the tab the correct invoice displays. If I click the buttom from within the tab I am asked to enter the vale of [Forms}![frmInvoice]![Invoice_ID]. How do I call the frmInv form from the tab?
We have a database with PROPERTY_ID and DATE and COSTS
The database is sequential and complete up to some point in time but some records stop short of a current date. (The DATE is represented by months)...
#1 #2
01/31/2013 10/31/2013
02/28/2013 11/30/2013
03/31/2013
Some records go thru 2012 and some to current date of NOV 2013.
To normalize the data we need to create blank records for each PROPERTY_ID thru Nov 2013 beginning with the last record for the PROPERTY_ID.
For the example we need to create APRIL thru NOV 2013 for PROPERTY_ID #1
I have a database that is tracking donations for my organization. I have some members who donate the same amount every month. Is there away to copy the records and paste them with the current date in the "Date Paid" field, and do this "Update" once a month? As opposed to typing in 200 records each month? I would assume that I would have to run an update query which filters to just the members that pay each month, but the big question is how to copy and paste these records. I am using Access 2010, I have some VB ability, but not an expert by any stretch. My SQL is not strong at all either.

For example, right now is the tenth week of this year so i need to grab the previous 9 weeks of history plus 4 weeks of the prior year. then next week when the query is ran we will be in the 11th work week of the year therefor i will need to harvest the past 10 week plus 3 week of the preivious year. the query works if you don't have to span accross calendar years. here is the SQL of the query below the problem area is in underlined in bold type:

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a large database filled with customer records. Some customers come one time. Other customers come 50 times at year. I want to find all customers that have records that are less than 30 days apart so I can ultimately see the types of products they buy. How do I write the query?
I attached a picture of a sample database. The 30 day (+/-) field doesn't exist but I would like the query results to build it.
I am trying to create a form that will select records by date range. The form contains 2 textboxes, with pop-up calendars to select dates. I managed to come up with this code, however, it's not working. Whenever I run the code, my database just goes blank, as though it's selecting something that is not in the records.
Code:
Private Sub Command16_Click()
Dim Task As String
Dim startDate As Date
Dim endDate As Date
startDate = Me.Text12
endDate = Me.Text14
Task = "SELECT * FROM Final WHERE Final.Timestamp BETWEEN #" & startDate & "# AND #" & endDate & "#;"
Me.RecordSource = Task
End Sub
How does one actually do the date range search? Could it be because my timestamp actually has both date and time, that's why the date search is not working?
I am trying to query my records by the current records selected date then send the results in the body of an email on click. I believe I am close but I think there is a problem with the date format because I am getting 3421 Data type conversion error. Here is what I have:
Code:
Private Sub eMail_Click()
On Error GoTo EH
Dim dbExceptions As Database
Dim rstExceptions As Recordset
Dim dbDate As Database
Dim rstDate As Recordset

I'm trying to automate a process of selecting a set of file/s and move them in a folder. When I click on a button, it should open a current folder that is setup in the code.
Lets say that I have a folder C:documents est, and very time I click on the button, it should open the dialog box with that path so I can select the files from another folder, drag them there and they will be saved in that folder.
This will form part of wider automation that will send an email stating that those file/s where placed in that folder.
I have in the same form where the button is placed, 3 check boxes that needs to be passed to the email as well that one or all the files where placed in the folder.
Hi
Probably an easy one here.. Got a table that I will like to do a query on.. All I need is to list all records for the current month. So obviously, when it goes to the next month, the query would update and show only records for that month.
What do I need to put under the date criteria to get this query?!?.. Any ideas?
Thanks
