Selecting Week Of Records From This Weeks Date
Jun 27, 2005
Hi,
I am trying, and getting nowhere...so would appreciate your help... to create a query where records with dates from 8 weeks, or two months ahead appear in the query.
That is I have contracts ending in two months in my table and I want to run a query on who I should call now to renew contracts.
I have a contract end date in table.
I have tried
>=DateAdd("m",2,Now())<=DateAdd("m",2,Now())
only to get all sorts?
>=DateAdd("d",60,Now())<=DateAdd("d",68,Now())
only to get all sorts of things appearing?
Anyone that could help would be great.
I have contact info in a TBLCONTACTS and linked to TBLMOBILES via COMPANY_ID
Thanks heaps!

Hello All
I have a number of Select queries that select 1st quarter up to 4th quarter of the year for accounting purposes. These are quite simple queries such as:
between "10" and "24" entered in the Criteria window. 10 and 24 being week numbers.
However if I wish to randomly select the week numbers after the query is loaded what is the correct code?

Dear All, I have a field named: “reminder date” in a query and would like to show only records where the reminder date is within the next week whenever the query is run (ie if todays date is 26th may 2006 and I run the query now It would only show records that include the following dates 27,28,29,30,31, july and 1,2 June)
Ive tried the below bit of code but this shows to many records beyond one week.
>=DateAdd("d",+7,Date())
Anybody have any suggestions?
Regards

I created a personal database for keeping track of my meeting schedules. My table has Date field, Time field and Subject field. I have made several entries. On a given day, I have several meetings at different times.
I created a combo box in my form to choose the Date and see that day’s meetings. The meetings list of the date chosen by combo box should appear in my form. But here I think I made a mistake. Each record has date, time and subject. When I click the combo box, the drop down list shows the same date many times (as I have entered the same date but different time and subject for each record). How do I make the combo box display the date only once and not same date several times? Do I have to change the table set up? Please guide me.

I have looked but have been unable to find the answer in past posts and this must be a common problem. I wish to include all records up to and including a date passed in the prompt "Criteria: <=[enter end date]". I changes the date format in the back end to short and I am in the US. However I get only dates less then the the prompted date.
Thanks for any help

I've got a database used daily by 4 users. It's split into a frontend (10MB) with all the forms/queries/reports/vba and a backend that's just tables (170MB), and the users access the database from a network drive. All additions through the forms are logged to a text file, and at the end of the day, a report is run that prints the day's work to a PDF. The database / workflow has been stable for the last few years, with only minor edits to the code, and no programmatic changes in the last 3 months.
Today, after running a compact-and-repair, I realized that the database contained no entries added within the last 2 weeks. I checked my log files, and sure enough I see that all of my records were at some point added to the database. This is supported by the fact that I have PDFs for every day in the last 2 weeks that show exactly what was done (roughly 30 new records/day).
My first guess was that compact and repair had corrupted the database, and knocked out a chunk of records. Fortunately, I've got daily backups, so I started restoring to yesterday's database. At this point I found that the records were missing from there, and from every backup from the last 2 weeks. Now, it's possible that my backup solution (logMeIn backup) is hosed, but the the log files are getting properly restored by the backup, which leads me to believe the backup is working. So, somehow these records were never saved in the database, yet they magically appeared in my end-of-day reports?
I thought maybe I was getting stuck in some state where the database went read-only and the edits were getting stored in memory but never written to disk, but that doesn't make sense as we occasionally restart the database during the day for other reasons, and the end-of-day reports are always complete, which knocks that out. Having restored to a prior version of the DB, I attempted to make changes / add new records and they appear to be sticking, but I find my faith in Access rather shaken, all the more so because I haven't a clue what went wrong before.

I am calculating number of weeks between start and finish date. Some of the users have questioned the validity of calculation as they are not too sure if this is being calculated as Monday to Friday week or does it work by calculating 7 days. If the latter is true, then I should see a decimal value. I am using date diff formula.

I am trying to determine the best method for how to handle this query using Access 2013. I have a clients table that contains the following:
clientID fName lName admissionDate dischargeDate
1 John Doe 05/06/2014 06/27/2014
2 Jane Doe 04/24/2014 05/15/2014
3 Steven Smith 05/15/2014 NULL/Empty
4 Chris Davis 06/12/2014 NULL/Empty
Then there is a WeeklyProgressNotes table that is there for the person that is responsible for auditing the clients charts. It does not contain the actual weeklyprogressnotes, it only contains a Yes/No field and a date field for the date the weeklyprogressnote was completed. Like below:
noteID completed dateCompleted clientID
1 yes 05/08/2014 1
2 yes 05/14/2014 1
3 yes 04/25/2014 2
I am creating a form that the auditor can open to determine what weeks she needs to check for each client to see if they have their weeklyprogressnotes completed that week. The weeks run Mon - Sun and there will be no record in the WeeklyProgressNotes table if she has not yet checked and confirmed for that week. So the form would basically look like this:
fName lName week completed date clientID(hidden)
John Doe 5/19/14-5/25/14 Checkbox Null 1
John Doe 5/26/14-6/1/14 Checkbox Null 1
John Doe 6/2/14-6/8/14 Checkbox Null 1
John Doe 6/9/14-6/15/14 Checkbox Null 1
John Doe 6/16/14-6/22/14 Checkbox Null 1
John Doe 6/23/14-6/29/14 Checkbox Null 1
Jane Doe 4/28/14-5/4/14 Checkbox Null 2
and so on.......
I have thought about creating an SQL statement to select all of the clients and then creating a function that determines their admission date within the specific week and their discharge date withing the specific week and then create a loop with another SQL statement with a BETWEEN clause for all the weeks and determine if there is an entry in the WeeklyProgressNotes table or not. If not then I would display out the above info. I'm not sure if there is an easier, less search intensive way of doing it. Maybe an SQL query that can cut done on some of the looping.

Can someone tell me how to get year to date totals, month to date totals, week to dates in a query? I need to get all three for three different fields.
I was not able to get the totals with the formulas given. I received the totals for each day instead. Are there any other suggestions? I am trying to different formulas, but they are not working either. I did try doing different queries with the formulas to see if that would work.

I am using Access 2007 and I have had a curious issue arise.
I like to use the Date Picker feature on all my forms to make it easier to enter dates. I have set up each table's date field property to "show date picker for dates", as per attached (.jpg)
When I use that particular field in a form, I also set up the field to allow for the Date Picker option (date picker form property sheet.jpg)
The curious part is that not every form that I set up actually shows the date picker when I select the date field. Some forms it works perfectly, others it doesn't.

Hi,
I'm looking for a module wich converts a date to a week.
Ex: i type 08/02/2005 and i obtain Week #2
(Some years have 52 and other 53 weeks, depend on the date of the 1st week of the year, an other problem is that some people say the week begins the monday, other say it begins a sunday)
Maybe a built in fonction exists.
Thanks in advance for help.

Ok,
I am making a database which has a set of lessons which have been booked for a particular date.
What I want to do is be able to have a pop-up box ask you for a date for the start of the week. e.g. I want to find lessons from the week starting 02/03/2007 for 1 week (e.g. 2nd - 9th), so I type in the box "02/03/2007" and it comes up with records from that week.
I have tried this in the criteria box:
[Enter date]+7
and
=Date([Enter Date])+7
But nothing works. Also, I decided to add a record with todays date, and then use the criteria =Date(), but that didnt work either!!!!
Help would be greatly apprecated :p
Thanks

Hi Folks,
I use this to get a week number for a date range:
WeekNo: DatePart("ww",[Timestamp])
Is there a way that I could also get just the first date from that week number to appear in the query as well?
ie. if Week 1 is 3/1/07-3/7/07 the query would show 3/1/07 as well as week 1. TIA

I have a date field in my table using short date (Assessment Date). I want to keep that and add a field in the table that converts that same date to a day of the week. I'm trying to use a calculated field in my table (AssessmentDay) and can't seem to get the expression right.

I Have a table that I collect data for numerous ID's. One ID may have 5 dates that is was serviced. It is due to be serviced at set intervals which is calculated from the most recent service date. I'm calculating the next service date in a text box with the DateAdd func. =(DateAdd('m',[Cal Freq],[MaxCalDate])) with the MaxCalDate being a Max func in a different text box for selecting the most recent sevice date. I'm trying to update the [Next Due] field in the [Master Asset] table with the calculated next service date so I can do queries on items that are due service within a date range. If I do an Nex Due Expr1: in the queries to calc the next due service date then do a criteria on that Expr1: such as >=[Start Date] And <=[End Date] it states datatype mismatch? Is there a way to select a requested data range on a calculated type date/time? Or How can I update the [Next Due] filed in a different table?

Hi,
How can i do the following -
When a date is typed in a text box, ie, 17/01/05
I want a Query to return what Number week in the year it comes from.
In this example the result would be Week "3"
I'm sure this would be easy enough to do if i typed in every day in the year into a table with the
week number beside it.
Is there some code or a more straight forward way.
hope all makes sense, if not i can go into greater detail.

Good day!
I'm planning to create a form that would show total number of sales transaction per week: If today's month is February, i would like users to see records like this: (Week should start on a Monday and ends on Saturday)
GroupNo______Week1_____Week2_____Week3____Week4___ _Week5___MTD
GroupA________12_________2__________10________11__ _____15_____50
GroupB_________8_________5___________7_________1__ _____21_____42
I can't find a sample code for this particular date criteria. :-(
Thanks in advance!

Hi guys
I'm a little stuck on three of my nine queries. Bascially, three of them display records for a given day, three for a given week and three for a given month. The criteria for days and months was pretty easy; I just got:
[Enter Date] for a single date
DatePart("m", [Date]) = [Month] for a given month
However, I'm really stumped on how to work out the criteria needed for working out records for a given week. All I managed to work out was:
<=[Week Ending] And >"Date[Week Ending]-7"
This works when there is no test data, but not when there is. I know it's something to do with the -7 bit, but I can't work out what.
Please help :(
Thanks

Between Date()-Weekday(Date())+1 And Date()-Weekday(Date())+7
I can get this formular to work when it is looking at one date feild. (Date Received). I would also like it to look at the (date completed) feild so I get all records entered & completed in the previous week.
I have tried putting same formular in the OR critiria as well but cannot get it to show all records at same time.
