Hi again, my problem is that on a report I have a row of dates i.e. 10/10/2006, 11/10/2006 etc. However, people would prefer to see Monday, Tuesday etc. Is there a way to show the date as the day name. The date fields are all based on the Date() expression then +1, +2 etc so are always changing.
I am using Access 2007 and I have had a curious issue arise.
I like to use the Date Picker feature on all my forms to make it easier to enter dates. I have set up each table's date field property to "show date picker for dates", as per attached (.jpg)
When I use that particular field in a form, I also set up the field to allow for the Date Picker option (date picker form property sheet.jpg)
The curious part is that not every form that I set up actually shows the date picker when I select the date field. Some forms it works perfectly, others it doesn't.
I have a report in ms access which looks at a table. In the table i could have the same person 2 or 3 times BUT with different dates. How can i get only the first date(earliest) to show in a query.
I use MS Graph and need show 2 data types: 1. Invoice Value, EUR 2. Date Date axis group records by month, for Example Period from 2005.01.01 And 2006.01.01 has 12 positions in Date Axis. Her I have problem: I need show sum of Values for every month. For example in Period from 2005.01.01 till 2005.02.01 I have 3 Values: 200, 500, 600EUR. Her I need to show 1300EUR, and so every month. Her is my strandart code:
Dim strSQL1 As String strSQL1 = "SELECT Date As Date, Value FROM Table WHERE (Date BETWEEN 2005.01.01 And 2006.01.01)" Me!chrStatistik.RowSource = strSQL1
Dear All, I have a field named: “reminder date” in a query and would like to show only records where the reminder date is within the next week whenever the query is run (ie if todays date is 26th may 2006 and I run the query now It would only show records that include the following dates 27,28,29,30,31, july and 1,2 June)
Ive tried the below bit of code but this shows to many records beyond one week. >=DateAdd("d",+7,Date())
Hey, I've got to make a query that displays all records whose Date/Time field appear after another tables Date/Time field. I suppose I could say this is for use in an "Item scanned into inventory, Item Scanned out of Inventory" fashion.
To purpose is to use the total items returned after the date/time to be subtracted from the total of items that were scanned in at an earlier date.
I always tend to get redundant because I'm never sure how well I explain something, it would work something like such:
So effectively the query would run, with the date/time criteria being ItemID 1's Date/Time. It would ignore the 1:00 entry as it occured before the first Item that was scanned in, and return that we have 0 ItemID 1s in inventory.
Inventory is just being implemented it was seat of your pants in the past that is why I have this dilemma we dont know how many are in stock until we check it manually but we know how much has left. This is why data before our manual check is not important to our current totals. We could have sent out 5 ItemID 1s but only have 1 in stock now, and if we use that data we would have -4 in inventory. I'm attempting to use the oldest date/time of the manual scan (table 2) as a criteria per item scanned against table 1. Hopefully, to return the present total of items on hand.
Edit* As a note, I understand how to use >=#1/1/08 1:00:00# as a criteria but for some reason I cannot swing using a field in a table as criteria. That's pretty much what I can't find on the board or in my books.
I have placed a calender object in Access 2003 on a form of mine and would like it to show the current date. Is there a way to set a default? IF it is code, where does it go?
I need a (group by?) query that shows my items only by the last updated price by date.
Basically i need to show the last date. (MaxDate?)
I keep a database for my restaurant of my food items and change their price everyday. i now have a table that archives individual items by date, price and company in a subform.
I am trying to kick out an item or inventory sheet by creating this query but i cant seem to group by last date. i have all my items showing up multiple times (as many as i entered) i have been easily able to create an inventory report off a query i used with only one date that i would change. but now i want to archive prices for charts.
i have tried max dates on item_id fields and date fields and nothing seems to work.
Hi all, i have a query which will be used for reports, and only the last order placed by a customer is needed to be shown. Here's the table used in the query:-
So obviously for one customer there can be several orders, but i just want to show the latest one by the date field. I have tried grouping by the date field on both Last and Max, but with all the other fields from the table in the query (i need to have all the fields from the table for the report by the way) it still shows all the orders for a customer.
If i only include the customernumber field and dateofpurchase field and then group by date i have 4923 records, which is the correct amount, only one order per customer (the latest one) but adding any other fields to the query gives me the full 7000 odd orders (several per customer).
Any help would be much appreciated, many thanks in advance.
When using the Format:'yyyy mm dd' in access queries. When trying to show a week is there a way to show the date range instead of week number.
Week 01 = Jan1-7. If the results are only week numbers that makes it hard for people to understand when it actually is. Bottom line is: I would like to convert Week number to actual date range. Can anyone help with this?
I have a need to enter dates so that they always appear as the first of the month. These dates are used in vlookup functions in Excel and need to be constantly recorded as eg 1 Nov 06. Currently I have to rely on notes and training to make sure users only insert the date in this way.
What I would like to do is get them to enter Nov 06 only (without a day) and have that stored as 1 nov 06. I have searched for date formatting functions and nothing addresses this. Perhaps it is something that could be achieved using VB if it is possible to do it.
I have two tables. The first is called Drawing Register and contains the fields Drawing No (primary field) and Drawing Title. The second table is the Drawing Register Details table which contains the fields Drawing No (joined field - Drawing Register table), Revision, Revision Notes, Date Issued.
I have a query and report which will list all the revisions for each drawing. This is very important and useful. However I want a summary report which will only show the last revision for each drawing.
I copied the original query, turned on the Totals option and under the Date Issued field changed Group by to Max. However it is still returning all results for each drawing instead of only the last issue date for each drawing.
I created a report to show stock level and transactions. there are date, transaction, quantity and balance fields. the balance field show the total balance of the item at the moment. what I need is to show the balance at the transaction date.
I'm setting up a query which will eventually run as a report to show sales within a specific date period and so on.
In my table "tblJobs" I have a field named "JobInputDate" - this will act as my date source, everything else included within the query works fine, i.e. costs etc, etc.
The format of the date field is Short Date and the default value is the date the entry was made to the table, this obviously uses the =Date() expressing to generate the date.
Now, when I come to building my query I want the dates to be shown as a day of the week, so that when I eventually build my report, I can group them by day.
I've looked through the various threads on here which all point to using the Format([YourDateField],"dddd") format. However when I run the query I get the "Data mismatch" error.
I have a form where someone enters a 'Job' to be done which in turn creates a record in a table with all this information
On the form I have a field called 'Repeat Frequency' where the user can choose how often they would like this 'Job' to repeat. e.g. Monthly
Then, on another form someone else can check what 'Jobs' should be done on that day
I have managed to get this to work fine using the DatePart function and it displays all jobs to be done that fall on the current day (e.g. if they choose to repeat it weekly, it will look for all entries where the datePart "d" [DateToBeDone] = Date()-7, -14, -21 and -28)
The problem is that i have been limited to the options of 'repeatability'
What i would like to do is change the options from 'Weekly', 'monthly' etc and instead have a field makrked "Repeat every so many days"
Is there a criteria i can use in a query where i can show records every so many days? i.e. if there is a job in the system that should repeat every 7 days and the [DateToBeDone] is set to 31/10/13, it would return this record on 07/11/13, 14/11/13, 21/11/13 and so on?
I Have tried DatePart ("d", [DateToBeDone]=DatePart ("d", (Date()-[RepeatDays] but what happens is it only shows it if the day is that many number of days in the past and not multiples as i said above.
One the face of it it sounds quite simple - i have a table that holds various bits of info about a customer but also a field that contains a holiday period - what i want to be able to do is show all records that do not equal todays date.
So if today was 11/04/06 - and one of my customers had 11/04/06 as one of his holiday days he would not appear on the report but all the others would.
Hey Guys & Gals, extreme newb here attempting to display the latest activity date in an SKU activity db in a query that spans 12 months with multiple activity dates on each of the 1,200 SKUS.
I have this so far and of course it only shows the last (DMAX) activity, not SKU related. How can I relate this result to each SKU to diplay the latest activity for each.
SELECT [Usage06-07].workorderDateClosed, [Usage06-07].qty, [Usage06-07].itemNo, [Usage06-07].Item FROM [Usage06-07] WHERE ((([Usage06-07].workorderDateClosed)=Dmax("workorderdateclosed","usage06-07","item"))) ORDER BY [Usage06-07].Item;
I have a messagebox and want to know if it is possible that the messagebox give me a date as 15/01/2015 and not 15/01/2015. Using dailog box as messagebox
Code: Private Sub Save_Click() Dialog.Box "Tape # : " & Me.Tape & vbCrLf & "Sticker # : " & Me.Container1 & vbCrLf & "Book # : " & Me.Book & vbCrLf & "Date send Out : " & Me.DateSendOut & vbCrLf & "Date to be back : " & Me.DateToBeBack & vbCrLf & "OS : " & Me.System, , "Saving............." End Sub
I'm trying to create a query that has a calculated field that shows a maximum value from multiple fields.
As far as I can find, this is not built into Access, so I've used this code from a Microsoft page:
Code: Function Maximum(ParamArray FieldArray() As Variant) ' Declare the two local variables. Dim I As Integer Dim currentVal As Variant ' Set the variable currentVal equal to the array of values.
[code]....
The problem I'm having is, well this doesn't work for me.I'm a bit of an beginner VBA coder, but I understand this code and don't know why it won't work.It only displays the value from the field within the brackets. The values used are Dates, so I need to display the latest date from multiple fields.
