I would like to take snapshots of my tables, queries etc to show them in this forum in order to better explain how things work. Duhh, anybody know how to do it. For example I wanted tio show someone how a query is set up in design mode, using visual aids.

How do you set up a login screen (not the standard Database Password) within MS Access 2000

i'd like some advice on a startup screen
I've seen db's with a nice spalsh screen that is smart and quick. I've tried start up splash screens using a form... and the images take an eternity to load... particularly over a network.. Any ideas as to something professioanl looking without the lengthy load up times??

I have been using a second, larger monitor, hooked up to my laptop so I can use the "extend" function of my laptop and work on multiple programs on two different screens. Until today, I never had a problem with this setup and Access. I would hit a button I had created and the resulting screen would stay in the same window as the Access program.
When I open the program on my laptop computer screen, it opens to a main form with a sub form (see mainform.jpg). When I click on a number below "Click 4 Product Frm" box in the subform (for example "179"), the Products form pops up (product_pop-up.jpg), on the SAME laptop screen the main form was shown on.
The problem arises when I click on the Accessories button in the right middle portion of the Products form. The resultant Accessories form (access-pop-up.jpg). This screen always pops open on the second (or extended) screen. I can drag the form back over to the laptop screen, but if I click on the Accessories tab again, it still opens on the extended screen. To make matters worse, if I am not connected to a 2nd screen, the Accessories form can not be seen on the laptop as it is trying to open on the extended screen that is not there.
The problem now is when two data entry people are
working on the DB at the same time, sometimes the
client records one person is the are working on jump
from one computer to another computer.
Attached is an example caught:
Louise data entry user was logged into the database
on one computer entering data.
Mary data entry user was logged into the database on
a different computer entering data on a different
client.
The client data from Mary's computer "jumped" to the
screen of Louise's PC. And then worst to the
database table of contact data kept.
This is kind of hard to believe if there was not
screen images catching it in the act, which we have.
Is there a record locking MS-Access global setting I
need to turn on?
Also, we have at least 3 time where we get a duplicate MS-Access record-id key on the DB. That is not suppose to happen. I can e-mail the DB and mass out the real person(s) names if you would like.
Any of your great thoughts or insights will be appreciated.
