I am wanting to display in a text box or on my report the total number or records in my database. Also I have some buttons that filter the results a little, I'm wanting to display the number after I hit the button(s). Would I just add the query to the end of each button I have?
I have a continuous subform. Because the records are often many, the user needs to scroll down the page.
How do I have a text box in each row that shows Record x of Total Records?
I tried setting a text box control source = [currentrecord] in the Detail area of the subform but it didn't work . It did weird things because I suspect the control is trying to show the record that has the focus or something
I have a form containing 4 text Boxes txt1, txt2, txt3 and txt4
I want
txt1 show records from table empDetail having age between 18 to 25 txt2 show records from table empDetail having age between 26 to 35 txt3 show records from table empDetail having age between 36 to 45 txt4 show records from table empDetail having age between 46 to 55
I am using the following UNION QUERY to total up equipment tested for a report.
SELECT "Laptops Tested" AS PCEQUIP, Count(*) AS RECORDS FROM [LAPTOPS] WHERE (((Date)Between [Enter Start Date] AND [Enter End Date])); UNION SELECT "Workstations Tested" AS PCEQUIP, Count(*) AS RECORDS FROM [WORKSTATION]
[code]...
I have created a report using ACCESS 2000 for this union query and it satisfies the requirement. I am trying to add the proper code and syntax in this query to total the number of all of this equipment tested.In this case the total would be 86. Is this possible?
I am trying to count the number of records in a subform where the text box (txtFinal) = RPR-RPR & RTN. The subform is called PartNumbers. The table name the subform is bound to is named Completed.
I tried using =DCount("[Part Number]","Completed","[Final] = 'RPR-RPR & RTN'"). That is counting the total number of records in the table, not the total number of records in the subform. How do I get it to count the total number of records in the subform?
I have an Access query that lists completed company forms by days to complete in descending order. I want to use the reccord number and total record count to present the percentage of forms that were completed at each completion date. Ther purpose is to quickly show that 80 percent of forms are completed within 60 days. This is easy to do in Excel using the Row() and Count() funtions such as 1-Row()/Count($A$1:$A$5000). Is there a way to do this same thing in Access?
I have a report I want to generate in Access 2010. I have a text box with the following:
Code:
="Page " & [Page] & " of " & ([Pages]+[Forms]![ReportForm]![PageCount])
What I am attempting to do is increase the maximum number for the total number of pages in the report. As it reads right now when I go into print preview it looks like
"Page 1 of " That is all. It doesn't seem to calculate the new total number of pages. Yes the report form is open, and yes there is value in the PageCount in the Report Form.I had this working in another database, but this one isn't being as nice. The reason for adding to the total page count is because additional pages will be added to the report that aren't in the database. how to increase the total number of pages in the report.
In one table, I have a few fields. One of the field is "ItemSequence" and another one is "TotalPcs"."ItemSequence" is where user key in the sequence number for one or more item. 5 example for possible content of "ItemSequence" is as following :
1) 7 2) 4,6,9 3) 5-9 4) 3,5,9, 23-25 5) 3-5, 8-10
"TotalPcs" is the total number of items key in to "ItemSequence". For the 5 example above, the related "TotalPcs" should be as following:
1) 1 (1 item, which is item 7 alone) 2) 3 (3 item which is item 4, 6 and 9) 3) 5 (5 item which is item 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9) 4) 6 (6 item which is item 3, 5, 9, 23, 24 and 25 ) 5) 6 (6 item, which is item 3, 4, 5, 8, 9 and 10)
For time being, the user have to count manually to get the "TotalPcs". I wonder is there a way to calculate the "TotalPcs" by programming?
Basically I have a report that shows any 'Issues' that wasnt closed within the KPI Target.
I have the report working, but I simply want to do a count of how many days the observations overran the 'Target Date of Closure'.
The report also shows observations that are not closed but passed their Target Date of Closure. These observations will not have a 'Actual Closure Date', but I would like to still have a count of how many days its overrun closure.
This is a formula I tried to piece together but obviously not correct as it's not returning anything;
IIf(IsNull([Issues]![Actual Closure Date]),DateDiff("d",[Issues]![Target Date of Closure], Date()),DateDiff("d",[Issues]![Target Date of Closure],[Issues]![Actual Closure Date]))
I'm trying to run a line of code after doing a Query Search that reports back the total number of results pulled from the search. I've dug around and found some useful code, but nothing that gives the results I'm needing. Most everything gives me the total number from the query. I'm also using a Split Form.
The process goes: Enter numeric search in Text10 and hit the search button to run the following macro: [studentID]=[Forms]![Query1]![Text10]
It then gives me the requested information.I have a second text box (Text19) that needs to display the number of pulled results. I've written VBA that only gives me the total number searched for studentID or for the entire Query.
I am interested in reporting so need totals, I can write a query that will count the number of machines in a dept like so
SELECT [Computer Inventory].Department, Count([Computer Inventory].ID) AS CountOfID FROM [Computer Inventory] GROUP BY [Computer Inventory].Department;
This works fine, however I now want to add more so are two fields
To_be_migrated Is_migrated
These are just checkboxes so I assume criteria is true or false
I need a query which will give me
The total number of machines by dept The total marked for migration The total migrated
NAME [NUMBER OF ITEMS] [PURCHASE DATE] Walmart 4 1/4/14 Walmart 2 1/5/14 Target 0 1/5/14 Lowes 3 1/5/14 Sears 1 1/5/14 Sears -1 (returned to store) 1/6/14
I want a DISTINCT COUNT of [NAME] if Total[NUMBER OF ITEMS]>0, so the correct number will be 2 in the example.
This is one way I've tried to write the SQL, but I keep getting an error...
SELECT Count([TBL-STORE].[NAME]) FROM [TBL-STORE] INNER JOIN [TBL-PURCHASES] ON [TBL-STORE].[NAME] = [TBL-PURCHASES].[NAME] WHERE ([TBL-PURCHASES].[NUMBER OF ITEMS]>1) HAVING ([TBL-STORE].[NAME])="DISTINCT");
I also tried an Count(IiF( and can't get that to work either..
I'm creating s simple database to track my printer toner supplies, what i want is that..every time I select a date (using date picker) it will automatically deduct 1 from the total number of toners on stock. Right now, i have to input 1 in a field and it will update the remaining toners.
I am trying to count how many of the "same" and "differences", as well as calculate the percentages of the number of "same" over the total amount. To clarify, I work at a nursing home, and I need to calculate the number of people who were admitted to our facility and then to the hospital for the same diagnosis, and a different diagnosis. Then, out of the total number of people who were admitted to the hospital from our facility, I need to calculate how many of those people had the same diagnosis or a different diagnosis.
Also, I need to categorize these diagnosis by each type of diagnosis.
I've created a report and report has the same number of pages as the number of records that it's displaying.
If there are two records, the report has 4 pages...the first 2 are the actual report and then the other 2 are a copy. If there are 3 records, the report would have 3 copies (...6 pages).
Any idea how to change this so that I have only one copy of the report?
I wan't to calculate the price totals but for each instance of Uvoz ID separately. I've sucessfully used Dsum function but I managed only to calculate all price totals for all instances of Uvoz ID. Is it possible to do it for each number of Uvoz ID separately? How do I do it?
I have a database for police officers to enter their daily activity. For example on arrests, Date:_____ Drugs____DUI___
The officers enter the date and the total number arrested for each charge. I want to print a monthly report. How do I make the report print this information for a specific date range? The way I have it now, it asks for the startdate and enddate, but it still totals every record, not just the date range.
I am looking for a way to get a progressive cumulative total from daily entries on Odometer records from multiple vehicles. (My current SQL query is not working) I will eventually run a report from these between two dates. I found the thread here, but am unsure of how to implement this - if this is indeed what I need in lieu of my current code..?
[URL]
My current problem is that, not all my previous entries are correct; Im not sure what is happening to the numbers about halfway through...
For clarification, here is my current code and an example of what is needed. The issue is highlighted in yellow. Excel shows the correct calculation
Code: SELECT qry_ODO_Table.ID AS OdomAlias, qry_ODO_Table.ODate, qry_ODO_Table.VehicleNum, Nz(DFirst("Odometer","qry_ODO_Table"),0) AS StartOD, Nz(DLast("Odometer","qry_ODO_Table","[ID] < " & [OdomAlias]),0) AS Previous, qry_ODO_Table.Odometer, [Odometer]-[Previous] AS Difference FROM qry_ODO_Table ORDER BY qry_ODO_Table.ID;
I've recently been building a database on Access to replace the rather clunky and slow one we currently use here (built in Excel).Generally, I've been making it up as I go along which has worked quite well for me so far. However, I've encountered pivot tables. Normally, it shouldn't be a problem; the tables themselves are easy enough to understand. However, I've found that the tables aren't nearly as flexible as I would have liked. At least, not in a way directly apparent to myself.
(After trying, and failing, to include links to Imgur with details on my issue, I have included a .zip file with both images I was going to show)Generally, in Excel, the table works everything out for us, then we sort by largest to smallest and work out the totals for the last 7 days and the last 7-14 days (the week before last). After that, the last formula works out a percentage (loss or gain). [excel.png]
In the access table, though, I can't find a way to make this happen. There's no readily apparent button to add a new calculation field. I've tried using the create calculated total button, but that seems intent on making a separate total for each day on the table, which I don't want. [access.png]
Also, I can't figure out how to sort the records by grand total descending. I would have thought right clicking the grand total and clicking sort descending would have done it, but apparently that would be far too easy. I feel that it's prudent to mention that I'm not all that experienced with Access. I completed MOS and ECDL courses when I was in primary school, but it's been a really long time since that and all of the Office applications have changed rather dramatically.
I am trying to get the main form to display a total Amount for all records in Purchase order details but the control displays Error:
I have a Form called frmPurchaseOrder with a sub-form sbfrmPurchaseOrderDetails
sbfrmPurchaseOrderDetails takes item details from a table based on what is selected in the combo box then fills out four additional fields in the same sub-form.
SELECT tblItemListDetails.ItemID, tblItemListDetails.ItemName, tblItemListDetails.ItemSize, tblItemListDetails.ItemUnit, tblItemListDetails.ItemUnitCost, tblItemListDetails.ItemBrand FROM tblItemListDetails WHERE (((tblItemListDetails.Supplier)=[Forms]![frmPurchaseOrders]![SupplierCombo]));
Private Sub cmbItemName_Change() Me.txtSize.Value = Me.cmbItemName.Column(2)
