Unable To Re-link Tables Access 2013

I have been developing an Access (accdb) in V2013 at home for use in my work environment. Ultimately it will be used by a small number of users in different locations hence my need to split the database into a front end and back-end tables. I have done this many times before in other versions of Access and if the location of the back-end files has been changed when you open the database it prompts you to find the new location and re-link them. Since I am carrying on the development at home/work and then taking the front-end into work/home I need Access to prompt me for the new location. However unless you remove linked tables first Access 2013 will not prompt you for the new location instead it just bypasses that and asks you to open a database so you are stuck in a loop. The database has been designed to open offering users minimal possibility of tinkering so I open holding the 'Shift key' down but this still doesn't prompt me to re-link. Why is the linked table manager not being fired up?

2013 does NOT recognize DBF files, we are trying to find a solid work around to LINK to our DBF files.
There are about 30 DBF files that get updated EVERY week. And there are about 60 employees that LINK to the various DBF files. Importing is not a realistic solution given these circumstances.

In the Access Table, how does one Find and Replace part of the hyperlink if the Text to display is different?

In other words, I'd like to find FAKESERVER and replace it with C:Users in all 1000 records. Is there any possible way to do this if there is Text to display?

I have 5 tables that I would like to input data in. It can only be done with a single form. The fields I want to input in have the same names in all 5 tables, for example:
Table 1:
Name
Age
DOB
Table 2:
Name
Age
DOB
Table 3:
Name
Age
DOB
Table 4:
Name
Age
DOB
Table 5:
Name
Age
DOB
Is it possible to input data into all of these fields in each table using one textbox for each field?
Preferably without having to use code but if it cannot be done without it then that would be fine.

Not sure if someone has come accross this probelm but I am unable to link/import tables from excel or text files.
I am able to import tables from other databases but as soon as I want to import an excel file it seems that the import wizard simply doesn't exist.
re-installed office several times but to no avail.
Access/office 2003 running on windows 2000 sp 4
Microsoft help is no of use.
I am also running 97 on my pc and have no problems here.

I enabled security on an .mdb which included several users that are in the Full Data Users group. After I did this I needed to add a new form to the application, so I logged into the application and added it. However, though the admin group and the Full Permissions group can access it fine, the Full Data Users group cannot. I have double checked all of the settings and have even rebuilt the .mdw file to no avail. Any thoughts?

I have a form/subform that I want to link together using a memo column, yet when I try Access tells me that the column datatypes are incompatible. I've even tried making both the form's and subform's recordsource be the same table. Any idea how I can do this?

I have an Access Table with about 28,000 Automobile dealerships across the country shown. I've joined a new/small phone contact table to this to keep up with our phone contacts with the dealership and followup efforts. When I search/filter on the dealership table all is fine. However when I search/filter on the phone contact table with a few test entries, I get nothing at all. I supposed that after joining the tables, I'd be able to do a search on the field named follow up date and find/filter today's date or other dates and locate which dealerships to contact when the correct date arrives. But nothing.

I have been asked to design a database to replace our old excel sheet to log one of our customers server builds. It a four noded system and i require a seperate log for each node serial models of parts etc, qa checks.
I intitial started by just using one table but forgot the limit was 255 rows, i need about 600 - 700. So my plan is now to transfer to indivial table for each node. Then, a general table named Main for all my other details.
Although this seems simple, i now have the annoying task of being able to link them all together and produce a single PDF file to send to our customer whilst only entering our system serial number once to produce this.
My basic understanding will be to create a System Serial Number field in each table a link it via relationships, but if i produce a report with everything i need would it input my details for all four nodes? If so how would i set this up?
I will be splitting the database once completed and then making a ACCDE file for my techs to use.

I am trying to Hide or Show the Access Window by using two buttons on a Form. Running Access 2013 in Windows 7 64bit.
I have used code from the Internet as below but added the PtrSafe item to the Function Declaration as below:-

I have attached a Test Database which demonstrates the problem I am experiencing.
Do the following sequence...............
Open the Test Database. DO NOT ENABLE CONTENT
The Access 'Ribbon'Test_Database.accdb is active and usable
Open frm_Test in Design View in order to inspect, all should be as shown above.
Now click the Enable Content warning
Switch frm_Test to Form View
Click button Hide dbw. Closes the Access Window
Click button Show dbw. Opens the Access Window...HOWEVER....

I have created a database that is hosted on our company sharepoint. The database contains subcontracts with resource information by geographic location and status. I have built queries and added them as reports to the web app but I need to figure out a way to sum totals on the queries. For example, one report lists all resources of a particular type by 4 different zones and 3 different status. I need to have the bottom row show the total resources.

I have problem sharing an Access 2013 file from one cumputer and then change the data in the file on another computer, or i can change it but the change wont be made one both computers.
I'm working so i need my secretary to be able to change information or add, but i also need to get the change.

Using MS Access 2013, part of Office 365, I am trying to construct a report that has a different first page footer than the rest of the document. Googling for answers has produced a few options, but none that seem to work. I have virtually no VBA knowledge. I was hoping that there might be some code that I could place in a label in the footer and have it work.

I have an Access 2013 database file with many fields. One of them, I'll call it Field 3, is a box which I would like to either leave blank or put a check mark in it. I would like to be able to create an Iif field for Field 3 where a check mark is automatically inserted in Field 3 IF Field 1 - Field 2 <or= 0, otherwise I'd like Field 3 to remain empty.

(In previous incarnations of Access I regularly 'compacted and repaired' databases to USB sticks rather than simply copy the file in the (mistaken??) belief that this was a more reliable approach)...
I can't see where to do this in Access 2013!

we are moving from Access 2003 to 2013 using Windows 8.1 64bits. We used Leban's code and library to create and merge pdfs. C
Creating pdfs can be done with built-in functionality in Access 2013. But I can't find a way of merging pdfs. I've tried Leban's Dlls files but I am getting run-time error: "File not found:StrStorage.dll" do I need to do something extra to make Leban's code work on Windows 8 64bits ?

I made a new column in a table in access. The table is not linked and linking unfortunately is not an option. In the new column, I want to create a sum for 5 years of funding. There are multiple columns for a different fiscal year.
In excel, it is simply =sum(range), but I am drawing completely blank how to fill in the column with the sum data.
The end result is the data from 4 tables will be displayed in Forms and Reports.
Essentially what I need is an ability to bulk update a column in access table without a need to reupload the entire datasheet (over 100k rows with about 30 columns).

I am setting up a database using Access 2013, and am trying to test downloading files from Excel. For some reason it is not allowing me to have more then 4 columns in the excel file, it gives the error "Subscript out of range". I thought it was the type of variable at first, but when I tried deleting different columns on both files, the transfer always worked with 4 columns. How do I allow more columns to be transferred?Also, is there a way to not include the row numbers of the excel file as an ID column and only include the ID given in the first column?

I have a table in access and I need to format it so that when column "Status" = "Closed" column "Closed" = "yes". so it will automatically mark column "Closed" "yes" if "status" says "closed". Instead of having to change both columns all the time.I know how to do that in MS Excel, but is it possible in MS Access 2013?
